I really liked Dr Lipton and his staff. Dr Lipton did a really fine job and the staff I met were terrific as well. I sort of dropped in from nowhere and asked him to see if he could save an old crown. He saved the crown and saved me a lot of money as well. It did take some time to get an appointment but they did call me when they had a cancellation. I was able to get in earlier than expected. I'm glad I went there. I've been seeing Dr. Lipton for a little over 4 years now and I am so glad I found him! His office is clean and welcoming and his staff is incredible. I love seeing Carmen for my cleanings (she is such a gem and very professional) and Dr. Lipton is always a delight during examinations. He lets me ask as many questions as I need to and is generally very upbeat and positive--which makes the whole experience very painless and stress free. I have generally healthy teeth so I haven't had experiences with anything other than exams and cleanings, but I do like Dr. Lipton's approach of preventative dentistry. He is often thinking ahead and making sure I am doing everything I can to keep my teeth as healthy as possible, and providing solutions for any concerns I may have. I have been a patient of Dr. Lipton for over 10 years. Last Saturday, I chipped my front tooth and called him. He was leaving on a vacation. I explained that I had a presentation in Silicon Valley in the afternoon and he agreed to meet me at the office. He fixed my front tooth and 45 minutes later, I was on my way to my presentation. Friendly accomodating staff is just the first thing that caught my attention about Dr. Lipton's office.. I've had 4 different dentists before him and have had difficult time trusting dentists.. dont ask. But when I first went in, the cleanliness was top notch. The state of the art tools also impressed me too. When I went in for just one cavity, he actually took the time to check each and every tooth with this new tool that allows him to see the density of the enamel. I am so behind on my Yelp reviews but once I received a voicemail from Dr. Lipton last night I was so excited I found the prefect dentist I had to sing his praises. I love going to the dentist and getting my teeth cleaned but it's Dr. Lipton's knowledge, understanding, and friendliness that keeps me coming back. I came here the first time several months ago to get a check up and I was so surprised he did ALL the examining and cleaning (What not hygienist?!). He values customer service and wants to start building the dentist-patient relationship on the first visit. During my cleaning, he explained every little thing he did ("I'm going to be checking your gums and shouting out numbers and it means this..", "you may feel a little pinch now..."). I had to come back a couple months later for a small filling. After each time he drilled through my teeth he would hold out a mirror and ask if I wanted to see what was going on in my mouth. A week after my filling he personally left me a voicemail asking if my filling was fine and if I was feeling any sensitivity. AWESOME follow up! read more

What a Relief! I have no intrinsic fear of dentists just very little trust since a year ago I went to visit a dentist that informed me that I need $15,000 worth of dental work in order to restore my mouth to a healthy condition. After consulting with a friend, who's a dentist in LA, I ran out of that dentists office. Yesterday, I went for my first visit to Dr. Lipton's. He quickly developed a prioritized plan that addressed my dental needs, that was conservative in nature, i.e. saving my orignal teeth rather than capping every old filling. His approach is not only good for the health of my mouth, but also for the health of my wallet. He's also very relaxed and gentle. I Love Dr. Lipton! I am always scared to go to the dentist but he is awesome and always puts me at ease. He is friendly, personable, and caring. He doesn't rush and makes sure to explain everything. They have a cool system there to show you your xrays on a computer screen in great detail, instead of the old lighted background xrays from the past. The staff at the office are friendly and welcoming as well. I always reccomend Dr. Lipton to friends. All in all, the best experience you can ask for at a dental office. UPDATE: so I finally made my appt. and Dr. Yoo was GRRRREAT! She so laid back and makes you feel relaxed while she's working on your teeth. She's also informative about what's going to happen during the procedure and after you get home. You've got to try her! update: he sooooo not available for months. they asked me if i could switch over to another dentist. which i accepted and i was glad. she turned out to be more suitable for my dental taste. Update: from 5 stars to 4 stars. CALL AHEAD. When I called to set up an appt for cleaning, there wasn't anything available for 3 months. friendly dentist who rather be called by his first name than "doctor so and so". he's got a sense of humor too. he explained and kept me informed throughout the procedure which i appreciated very much because i usually have a lot of questions whenever i'm at a doctor's office. ask him about his band. read more

Dr. Lipton is so great! I was flying out of town and he took my call after hours to get me set up with some anabiotics and oral rinse. When I delayed my flight to take care of the mouth pain I was having, he got me in right away and was so gentle with taking care of the issue I hardly felt anything! It was my fault for being overdue for a dental visit but he was so accommodating and took care of the issue quickly and easily! His staff is always helpful and friendly as well. Jason's an extremely good dentist and a cool guy. Office is very clean and unassuming, and the staff is very professional. Over the few years I've been going to him for my dental needs, I've seen him make significant investments in his business with new equipment and technology in order to make the experience better for his patients. Indeed, I was so relaxed during my last visit that I napped *while* he was working away! One of the things I really respect about Jason is that he doesn't recommend any work that you don't need - his honesty and professionalism is completely apparent and believable even on the first visit. When I first went to see him he could have easily suggested the progressive, regular removal of some of my old fillings. Instead, he observed that while the fillings were old, they were done well and he was comfortable just keeping an eye on them for as long as needed. Coincidentally, he happens to live in the same neighborhood as I do and is active in the community, recently helping to sponsor our 4th of July parade! Just a small example of the "cool" factor that several folks have written about. By the way, I've had a couple of good dentists retire on me, forcing me to go through the hassle of finding a new doc - Jason's probably around 40, meaning he's going to be my dentist (and yours) for a *long* time. read more

I first went to Dr.Lipton about a month ago. I hadn't been to a dentist in a very (very) long time. I actually used Yelp to help me figure out who I should go to. I knew I had some work to be done so pain (specifically trying to minimize it) was most important to me. I talked to Dr. Lipton prior to him checking everything and he was very understanding about my concerns. He did a very thorough job checking and getting everything cleaned. There was one issue that he said needed to be addressed and he walked me through multiple options about what to do. I was very pleased and I will definitely will be back. I have seen many dentists in my life and like many, going to the dentist is not one of my favorite things. I had not been to the dentist in some time...and a cleaning and check up was long overdue - so I bit the bullet. Dr. Lipton was FANTASTIC. He took the time to help me understand my teeth and mouth and some of the underlying reasons for some of the dental work I have had in the past and steps I can take to improve the health of my teeth. Better than average dentist - yes very cool and all. But echo others on scheduling. Waiting 4 months for a follow up appointment is somewhat unprofessional. Rather than asking patients to leave he should not be taking new ones on. Though I guess with these wait times folks and their families will just stop going to him. However, he has proven to excel as a top notch dentist in technology, quality, delivery, responsiveness and reasonable cost. He gets an A+. He went over and above the call of duty when he also agreed to see me on short notice, once when I had an emergency a day before me and my family were about to leave on a 2 week vacation in mid-May 2014, and the other just today, when I had a tooth chip unexpectedly. They made time for me and he put a short term fix for me in both instances so that I would be ok till he could schedule me in for the permanent solution/fix. Very decent, down to earth doctor. Dr. Lipton is truly the best! He's everything you want in a dentist. He's trustworthy and knowledgeable, patient and kind, gentle and efficient. Not to mention he plays awesome music during your visit so you have something else to focus on other than that drilling noise we all love. But my favorite part is that during a cavity filling he guides you at each turn on what to expect. Office staff is very courteous and the hygienists are top notch. I found Dr. Lipton through and internet search that said he played rock and roll in the office and have been with him ever since. Now noticed that other "1" ratings have been submitted recently which I believe further validates the direction this office is moving towards now that they have such an obvious overabundance of patients and outrageous appointment backlog. The Dentist told me "there are other good Dentists out there" and with a bit of effort, I found one whose service and dental technology applications are significantly more advanced than this office. I am a dentist-o-phobe, so finding a new dentist is an anxious process for me! Dr. Lipton is the best I've ever been to, so now fingers crossed that he never ever moves. He provides a high level of personal care - did the first cleaning himself, explains what he is doing as he works, follows up visits with a phone call to ensure everything is OK, and is excellent at providing guidance without lecturing. Dr Lipton is the best dentist that I have ever been to. The office is nice with a friendly group of people. The staff all seem to be up on the latest technologies and techniques. The music is new and fun - this seems like a funny point to bring up, but most dentists have horrible music. The reason why I am making the effort to give him a positive review is this - I had a filling done and he called me the next day to see how it was. Dr. Lipton is an awesome dentist!! had a front tooth fall out on a Saturday morning and was traumatized. I called Dr. Lipton and was able to go into the office so that the tooth could be temporarily cemented. I ultimately had to have an implant and a couple of other front teeth crowned. It was a long process, but how beautiful my front teeth look now. He was so reassuring about the outcome of how my teeth would look and he was so right.
