We enjoy going Jason's for the salad bar. The veggies are fresh! They are always cleaning and refilling vegetables. They several dressing, breads, and other toppings (bacon bits, nuts & cranberries, etc...), and an ice cream machine for dessert. The place is clean and constantly staff are busy keeping it cleaned. Usually, if you go to the restroom you can tell if a place is clean. I am always surprised how clean and neat it is. So I would recommend Jason's if you are wanting a great salad bar. Met dear friends at Jason's Deli for our annual lunch. I was sitting in a chair waiting for them to arrive, when the kind cashier asked me if I would like a cup for water while I waited. About that time my friend walked in the door and we placed our orders, but it was certainly a wonderful unexpected offer of hospitality on a 100°+ hot day. I ordered the mesa chicken salad, which was so covered in toppings it took me a few bites to find the lettuce. The salad was the perfect lunch on a hot day. I haven't been to Jason's deli for over a year and finally had time and was in the west Little Rock area. My surprise came when I asked for a clean plate to go back to the salad bar. The worker said, " clean plate?" I told him I wanted to go back to the salad bar and thought I needed a clean plate to do so. There are a lot of bad reviews for this poor restaurant. I'm glad I had a favorable enough opinion that I thought I'd leave a review for them. I was in a hotel about 10 miles away and I did a search for a salad and I had to go this far to get a decent salad. Around me there was only Mexican food, and a couple of Chinese food restaurants. I ordered the avocado toast, beef stew, vegetable soup, and the apple and pecan salad. They were generous with portions. My soup and stew had tons of everything in it not just broth. The avocado toast was much better with the hot sauce that I requested because it was just avocado on toast with cheese, plenty of cheese and plenty of avocado. In fact, I would recommend to the owner if he reads this just serving hot sauce with the avocado on toast (Like Hyatt house does). The salad was really fantastic. There was so much of the "good stuff" on there. Lots of cheese, pecans, cranberries, apples, the strawberries were beautiful and fresh. I only took one star off because the staff there wasn't friendly. During the entire encounter I don't know if they said anything except for "cash or credit" or something like that. When I asked for hot sauce she turned and walked away to get it and then gave it to me without saying a word and not even a reply to my "thank you". Tried to order online and pay as a guest, but instead it wants me to register. Tried to register and it wouldn't take my password. Gave up and called them. The lady who took my call interrupted me to get my first name. Then goes back and repeats the wrong order. I correct her and continue my order only to be interrupted a second time for my last name. Get there to pick up the food and of course it's incorrect. We order bowls not cups, it says it right on the receipt, how can you mess that up? They quickly got us two more cups, so good recovery on that. Food was expensive, cheap quality and horrible tasting. Our sandwiches were toasted, but it was like stale toasted bread. The person taking our order had ear pods in and then told us he had trouble hearing our order. The soups came out cold. The ice cream machine was dispensing milk. Poorly ran. I don't know if they don't have enough stuff or what. I do know that if that is the case, they don't have any signs up stating that they need help. I ordered a catering order to be picked up at 11:30 on a Thursday for a staff meeting (so not a small order, and it had a time crunch). When I get there, there's a line out the door. Thankfully, I step into the online order booth thinking it would be a short wait. 25 minutes later and still with no order, I can't get anyone to help me. What I did see were orders being missed, the woman working the normal order desk not knowing how to do her job and needing to have someone with her (specifically the only person that could help me get my order), and the other manager leave to do a delivery without telling his staff where he was going. Why was that last part important? Because he was the only one who knew where my order was! So after waiting 25 minutes, when I finally get asked what I'm picking up nobody can find it and the poor girl at the desk can't get her manager to answer! The manager eventually brought me my order (with items missing) TWO HOURS LATE. I was literally done with my meeting at this point. It was insane and it looked horrible. They didn't even offer to give me money back for the inconvenience & when I tried to call to discuss the missing items, they never call me back or I get disconnected. read more

when we got to Shackleford Jason deli all the tables were dirty and we had to clean our own table off then we waited an hour for our meal. on top of that we went to bathroom and it was filthy we couldn't even use it. Don't know how the food tasted as I never got that far. I had gone to their app to get a BBQ baked potato. According to the app it was $7.99. I did not order they the app as I just wanted to get it fresh at the counter. Once there and ordered the price was suddenly $10.79 plus tax. I ordered lunch for a small group from this Jason's Deli today to have it delivered to where we were working. We ordered three sandwiches and a salad on the app, and shortly after I ordered, someone from the restaurant called to confirm what kind of sandwich we wanted, I guess the app didn't give them the details of our order. When everything was delivered, the gentleman was so friendly and helpful!! I knocked over a cup of creamer and he helped me by cleaning it up since I was wearing a dress. To me, that is going above and beyond!! I wish I got his name so I could give it to the business! The problem arose when we went to get the food that was delivered. There were no chips or pickles with any of the sandwiches we ordered, the chili for the taco salad wasn't in the bag, and there wasn't any plastic ware for the salad. This place is the poster child for poor to NO customer service. I went 3 times and it was just a hassle just trying to order I gave up. The food is ok but Franky I have laundry that is faster and sharper than these people. After repeating what I wanted 3 times they rang up the wrong order and overcharged me for it. It took them 10 minutes to reverse it and 3 clerks on one machine to figure it out. When another woman in line said she experienced the same thing one of the cashier's yelled out " we did NOT mess anything up"! Say what? Bye!!! Yum! I had the salmon sandwich with the fruit cup. It was extremely fresh and delicious! My son had the New York Yankee and I was blown away with the amount of corned beef and pastrami on it, yuck! This place has really went downhill, especially the staff. They screwed up my order and refused to correct it or even to acknowledge that they screwed it up after approaching two employees about it. They just simply turned around and walked away from me?? Have been to Jason's 5 or 6 times this year alone. Food is fair but service is not great, staff was not friendly-didn't seem happy to be there. Ordered a salad bar and plates did not look clean. One still had a piece of food on it. Also learned you can no longer go back for 2nds at salad bar... since when? I had done this every time prior, as recently as last month. There was no notice or sign and no one mentioned it until I already had lettuce in my plate. Seems very expensive for 1 plate, considering available options at salad bar. But upon walking in i saw a Caucasion what seem to be 17 year old & a Black 17-18 year old kissing & hugging on one another. I was so disgusted to see the way the workers were displaying PDA. I used to eat at this place frequently...and I used to love it. It will has a 5-star review on my google page that I will change shortly. Some of their meals were a little pricey but it's good. I went in there a week ago on February 10th at 3 pm. The salad bar was open but it said one trip at a reduce price. First, that reduced price is .89 cents because that $8 salad bar that was all you can eat used to be $8.89. I questioned the girl about it. I asked her how much a second trip was. She very rudely told me that it was the full $8 for a second plate and also told me they had to shut down the regular salad bar all you can eat because of covid. I told her that lots of buffets are back open and she changed her story and then told me that it was a Jason's Deli rule now. Her machine messed up and I had to go to my car to get cash because she could not take a credit card at the moment. I get to the one trip $8 salad bar with one plate. I used to get a plate of salad with little dessert plates on the side for my pasta and pudding. There are no longer tiny cup plates so I had to throw all my salad together with my pasta. As I ate my salad, I got to watch everything that I used to put on dessert plates slide down into the middle of my bowl. It was the most disgusting meal ever and they did it acting like they are helping you out when they have only taken .89 cents off the price. Never again will I pay $8 for one plate of nasty salad and never again will I go to this place until they get it together.--EDIT now to say that we tried this place 2 months later thinking it was better. It's the same--one plate--only the price has gone up and you will be paying $10 for that ONE plate of salad. What a joke! We will NEVER go back. read more

We placed an online order around 9 am to be ready for pickup at 12:20 pm for 12 lunches same day. We had already paid and everything. We go to pick up our order via curbside, and they left us on hold for a long time, and then proceeded to take a HOUR to complete our order. My boss was extremely late for his important lunch meeting. I called corporate to submit a complaint, and they referred me back to the restaurant. I was then passed around on the phone, and finally someone took my complaint and basically said there was nothing they could do to make it better. Poor customer service. This is a very popular walk-in deli with a nice selection of sandwiches and a small selection of soups. The popularity causes the atmosphere to be a bit noisy, but it reflects a healthy crowd. I enjoyed my chicken Panini, And my friends thought the chicken salad was delicious. An added bonus: they have free soft ice cream, although the selections were limited to chocolate. The seating could use some work, as the booths have lost their support. All in all, this was a nice place to have a small lunch, and they also offer gluten-free choices. read more
