Love Haunted Houses and this makes my 4th this year. We drove from Delaware & were so disappointed. This place set a higher expectation from the videos online & totally underwhelmed us. There was so much potential there. The actors literally broke character on several occasions and weren't even trying to be scary. The haunted houses were just dark hallways, limited actors & older animotronics. There was literally no one even trying to scare guests. It was beyond disappointing. They were sending large groups thru and it made it difficult when you only have a few actors working the line. The quality of the actors wasn't there. It seemed like they were disinterested in working and just there to do the hours for the paycheck. The ones in the hayride literally just walked onto the wagons , did a few boos and left, There weren't really any scares. You knew when they were coming!! It was a little unnerving that no bags were being checked or no metal detectors. This should have been done especially with the events that take place in today's world. Drove up here from New York City and most definitely do not regret it. Had a great time with my family and got a few good jumps. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good time. They have 5 HAUNTED HOUSES and for $5 you can add on 3 extra that are next to the stage. Make sure you do all 8 HAUNTED HOUSES and get the FAST-PASS because the lines are long. HORRIFYING HAYRIDE was about a 20-30 minute ride and a lot of fun. CARNIVAL OF FEAR was dark most of the time but most definitely got a few jumps. LOST IN JASONS WOODS could have been a little bit more scarier, they could have had more characters scattered throughout the woods. ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE was a good laugh and a lot of jumps. CHAMBER OF HORRORS could have been better. You're able to see what's coming around every corner so you don't really get scared but we did get a few jumps. Whoever played the TERRIFIER character deserves a raise. He scared the ishhh out of us. lol. Keep an eye out for him in one of the HAUNTED HOUSES. They also have 3 food carts. They have a fries and tater tots food cart where they fried the tots and fries to perfection and the staff was extremely friendly. The line for burgers was long so I recommend you have someone stand in line while you get the fries. Highly recommend the funnel cake and fried Oreos. Have them well done to get a good crisp on the outside. Overall, the characters did a great job and the funnel cakes and tater tots hit the spot. Have fun! read more

I came here with my friend and her brother for his birthday. We do a scare attraction every year. We were extremely disappointed, there may have been like 6-8 actors per attraction, the attractions were not scary at all. They looked cool and were scenically pleasing, but nothing at all really was too enjoyable to us. I really would have liked to give this place four or five stars, but the last attraction was a bomb. We arrived on a Saturday night. Because of Covid, lines were short. While waiting in line, the people in front of us were smoking weed all the way to the cashier. Nobody seemed to care. We hit the hay ride first. This place did a great job, and special effects awesome . The other haunts were pretty good, and the scare actors took their jobs seriously except for the last. We hit the circus tent last, and it was filled with weed smoke. It wasn't the group in front of us, so I could only guess it was the scare actors. Most of the scare actors were grouped up, and in conversation when you hit their area. Seemed like they were surprised to see customers walking in, then were slow to respond. Too bad. We just don't like to head all the way back home with the smell of weed all over our clothes. read more

Went here the weekend before Halloween and did not enjoy myself at all. Compared to when I went years ago this place is not the same. The actors seem inexperienced and weren't scary at all. I waited in line for two hours just for the boring hayride. I paid for three attractions but I was so disappointed with my hayride experience I just left afterwards.Also, there should be a no smoking in the park policy in place. Waiting in line for two hours with people smoking cigarettes gave me a headache. read more

Very disorganized. There weren't many employees around to answer questions, and people had lots of them because there were lots of long lines with small signs that no one can see. We waited 45 minutes for the ticket line even though we purchased online, and when we finally got to one of the attractions, we had to wait another hour. The VIP line for the haunted hay ride was longer than the normal line :/ When we actually went on the hay ride attraction, it was very underwhelming. Each "station" had at most 1-2 actors which varied in enthusiasm, some of which broke character. They were probably tired though because it was a busy night. Wasn't very scary at all. Music from the DJ made it a little better though! A suggestion would be having people holding signs indicating the end of the line for respective attractions. read more

I took my 9 year old to Jason's Woods last night and she absolutely LOVED it! She told me she did not want to go trick or treating this year and instead wanted to go to a haunted house. After much research on a place that would be semi appropriate for a kid, i decided with Jason's Woods. I purchased the 5 park slam tickets i advance, and did not spend the money on the VIP passes. We arrived just after they opened and didn't need VIP as there were no lines, so we were able to walk right into all of the houses. The first house we hit was the Zombie Apocalypse. She was quite scared in the Zombie Apocalypse, so i thought it was going to be a long night for her, but she really enjoyed the rest of the houses. It was super dark, and we couldn't see ANYTHING! i had no clue where to go, but the actors were great inside, staying in character and showing us where to go in the darkness through creepy whispers, pointing, or simply blocking the incorrect paths. The highlight of her night was the Carnival of Fear and the clowns. I thought the decorations in that house was absolutely spectacular. I loved the colors and the feel. The last clown actress at the end of the house was a complete gem to my daughter and even took a picture with my kiddo once she told her it was her first experience at a haunted house. She really made her night! My daughter loved the hayride and was so psyched when we heard the music for Freddie! To see him was the best for me. We were done with all 5 attractions by 8:30 so we spent the rest of the time walking around, taking pictures, and eating. By that time you could see the amount of people really picking up, and the lines were getting pretty long. I would advise either getting there as soon as they open or getting a VIP pass if you decide to come later. The DJ was on point playing awesome music that had the whole crowd dancing. This experience was the best for her. Thank you guys so much for such an enjoyable night of fright and laughter!!!! If you're thinking about bringing your kiddo to something like this, i would say GO AHEAD... as long as you both decide it's what they want and as a parent you believe they can handle it. read more

I would rate this one of the worse haunted houses ! Scare factor was a 1. It was very out dated & old . The hayride was terrible. It's kids friendly so if y have young kids this might be nice but other than that it's not worth it . Lines was long just to walk thru the attraction & not get scared once . read more

I came here last week with 8-10 other people to shoot Halloween themed photos, so we spent the whole day up there. I really love all things Halloween and Jason's Woods is yet another cool spot to add to the yearly rotation. However there is definitely some room for improvement. My friends and I opted for the VIP at $10 more which meant we could skip the lines. Except on a Friday night in October there were barely any lines. Which was great-but the VIP thing definitely wasn't necessary. Save your $10 and spend it on fried Oreos or something. For the $40 package we were able to do all five attractions. The hayride was awesome-as hayrides usually are. Lost in the Woods was probably the closest thing I've ever experienced to really being scared at one of these things! But bear in mind it is basically a hike so be prepared and choose footwear accordingly! Unfortunately, the fifth attraction closed without us being able to do it. It was definitely a let down since we drove from Philly, but management handled it really well and gave us $10. Jason's Woods was worth the ride and I'd recommend it for all my fellow Halloween lovers! read more

This was our 2nd time at Jason's and it was a thrill to go through the attractions, the Woods and Lost. That, and the hayride are the best out of all five. I strongly suggest purchasing the VIP pass. It was close to Halloween and both times there were a ton of folks. There will be barely any waiting in lines with just an extra fee. It was worth it! More so, there was a monster truck mini attraction. We had a chance to ride inside a monster that drove over humps of hay and circled back around. Makes you jump in your seat! Much fun! I do admire the effort put into each theme for the mini attractions as they rotate them from year to year. A couple of years ago, the hayride involved Beetlejuice, but this year he was absent. There were a couple of new themes instead. I recommend going at least once for the experience and on to the next if you didn't get spooooked enough! read more

We have been coming to Jason's Woods for years and this year I was extremely disappointed. I paid for the 5 combo vip and the only two attractions that were good were the zombie apocalypse and the chamber of horrors.We enjoyed both those attractions but then it all went down hill. When we walked through the Carnival of fear we laughed and had performers standing and not even trying to scare us. The horrifying Hayride wasn't scary at all but a nice ride through the woods. The last attraction, lost in Jason's woods.......or should I say hiking trail through the woods. This is the one attraction we were super excited about and literally the worst attraction there. We passed 4 performers on the trail who didn't even try scaring us. I really wasn't sure what we were supposed to experience so when we got off the trail I asked one of the workers and all she said was that's not how it's supposed to be and did nothing. We then said something at the front ticket counter when leaving and once again they did nothing. Extremely Disappointed and now have no desire to to go back. My boyfriend and I went on Halloween night. It was totally unenjoyable. The clientele made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Very few people were properly wearing masks- some did not even have masks on at all! I was disappointed that none of the staff said anything about it. However, after going into several of the attractions, I realized that some of the actors themselves were not adhering to safety guidelines. Some actors were not wearing masks. We were even touched by one of the actors. Additionally, the staff did not enforce the "six feet" rule nor did it seem they limited groups very much. For example, the hayride was packed with as many people as possible. They even asked customers to move closer together! I was extremely disappointed and disheartened by my experience. Awful. The lines are excruciating. They take VIPs at 50 people to 10 people for GA on the hayride. The line crawls. And they if you buy online you have to wait in another excruciating line to get tickets. Honestly better off buying tickets onsite. Or not coming. I'll start this off by saying that my friends and I did have a lot of fun, but if you want to actually be scared, this is NOT the place for you. The plain clothes staff were all extremely kind, courteous, and helpful. We had coupons from Wawa, so we bought the VIP tickets for all 5 attractions. It was nice to skip the lines, but honestly there were not that many other people there, so it probably wasn't totally necessary. You start in the theatre where you watch a quick video about the theme of the attractions. After that, you are guided straight to the Chamber of Horrors. The actors are few and far between, and the sets are pretty bare, but they do manage some startles. From the Chamber of Horrors, you're escorted to the Hayride. This is terrible. Not even a little scary. The hayride stops at each set so you know when things are about to happen. There is only one or two actor per stop. Because we had VIP tickets we were seated right behind the tractor and not a single actor came over to us. Also, this is October, it's kind of chilly, and they spray cold water at you at two different points. After the Hayride is the Woods. This is the scariest attraction there. It's very dimly lit and you're walking through real woods with trees and rocks in your path. The scariest part is hearing the actors coming towards you through the crunchy leaves. After the Woods you go to Pirates Revenge. You're given 3D glasses and told not to take them off for any reason. Maybe this is so you can't actually see the abysmal sets. I don't know if the glasses were just really dirty or if it was the lighting, but no one in my group of 4 people could see ANYTHING. Even when we were in rooms that were lit and there was supposed to be 3D paint on the wall, we couldn't make anything out, just moving from room to room by touch. There are also some halls that are just pitch black and you do just make your way through by feeling around, these hallways are SKINNY. Last is the Carnival of Fear. This is also mostly in pitch black, making your way through by touching the wall. The hallways here are also very skinny, my 5'10, 210lb boyfriend could barely squeeze around some of the corners. Also, a lot of the "walls" are chain link fences and have poles sticking out of them. One of my friends was walking with hands held out in front of him, but managed to walk into a pole that was sticking out at head height, it hit him right in the glasses. We had a good time and lots of laughs, but all agreed it wasn't worth the hour and a half drive and the high ticket price. read more

Started out with the hayride: was not scary at all, too many animations rather than actors. Very inconvenient sounds & soap for absolutely no reason. Truly one of the worst haunted attractions I've been too. We purchased online, the VIP 5 attraction ticket for $50 + $4 service fee.Which is pointless because you still have to stand in the same line as everyone else to enter. The signage is absolutely terrible, so you don't know where to go for each attraction or which line is which (VIP or general). You get three attractions inside buildings, one hay ride, and one walk in the woods. The attractions inside the buildings are basically black plywood painted hallways to corral you around, which are very tight and its pitch black so you cant even see the walls beside you. Then you go into a small room with poor Halloween decorations and animatronics, and possibly one actor that will try and scare you - half of the actors we encountered either did not try to scare us or broke character. The Zombie attraction was basically 90% black tight hallways and 3 actors to which none scared me. The walk in the woods was alright, a little treacherous, but again predictable on when you should be scared. You're walking and then decorations start and an actor will be there to try and scare you. The hay ride was a long wait (45 minutes) and a decently long ride but again with the predictability. The ride will stop in an area. with decorations and boom 1-2 actors will try to scare you and then you move along to the next one. Thats style of flow just really takes the suspense out, which is key to getting scared. Overall, if you're a family with kids or someone who's not really looking to get scared at every turn, then this is the place for you. Don't pay for VIP because the lines mean nothing, poorly marked and everyone just skips. read more

This place was the pits. We purchased the 3 pack and the 2 attractions were horrible. There was just a lot of dark hallways with almost no actor interaction. The tiny bit of actor interaction was half hearted. The hayride omg... i am still standing in line 2 hours later to get on the hayride with no hope that it will be any more thrilling than the other 2 attractions. They urge you to pay for vip so that you can skip the lines I don't agree with paying for elitism, but I will NEVER come here again i dont care if they give the tickets away. We went on Saturday, October 24th. We had a good time! We did all 5 attractions. They were all great and we loved the IMT aspect of the hayride. There are some things I feel really could have made it better, for instance, more actors- everywhere. For the hayride, we felt that some of the actors costumes and dedication to the scares could have helped. Some other things that could have made it great, would be actors walking around the outside of the attractions scaring people, that's always awesome- it keeps you on your toes outside too. Also, the reviews with concerns about COVID. If you're worried about COVID, I wouldn't go to something like this anyway. We saw everyone wearing masks, and employees enforcing masks. I did not see a problem with how that was handled here. Also, we bought VIP tickets and went right at 7PM. The first thing we did was the hayride (DO THIS!!! Go right at 7, get on the hayride first- VIP or not). It was worth it to do the VIP tickets. Overall- It was a fun night! read more

Absolutely horrible. Waited 3 hours in line for the hayride that had a total of 8 actors in it who obviously hated their job. The wait time was really the worst it wasn't a long wait because people were socially distant it was just horribly organized. There was NO social distancing happening everyone was packed so close together. We got there at 9pm and didn't get ON the hayride until 12am and by the time we got off the hayride all the other attractions were closed. We spent $45 for a 5 attraction pass and only got to see a horrible 10 minute hayride. OH also a prop fell during the hayride and hit two people in the head it was the worst experience ever. read more

Do not waste your money. This was probably the worst haunted attraction I have been to in my life. I think there was a lack of actors ( not a lot of scare ) The attractions were not scary at all. More animations than actors which made it even worse. There are 5 attractions and each one was probably about 5 minutes long. I went here on Opening Night with my family. The food was good, the prices were reasonable & we got scared! The best part was in one of the attractions, there was a rat behind a cage & came out of no where! And he definitely knew what he was doing! He got my entire group & even followed my group down the path! The hayride was awesome! We loved every second while we were there!! read more

AWFUL! We got there at 7:15 and waited an 1hr and half in line for the hayride and ended up just getting out of line. The line never moved! We then went into the zombie attraction and got to the exit we literally walked up to the zombie cause he was blocking the exit and having a conversation and he said have a great day....what the heck?!?! Also, cash only and no where does it say that at the ticket booth when you are waiting in line! Never again!!! read more

As my husband so eloquently put last night: Jason's Woods - boring people to death for 25 years. After hearing so many great things about this place, my husband and I finally made it there last night. We are huge Halloween buffs and we try to visit as many haunted attractions as possible. Let me save all of you out there a huge trouble...this is the WORST Halloween attraction we've ever been to. Now, we would have been more upset if we hadn't bought the fast pass (despite the waste of $120.00) because a three plus hour wait for this attraction would have been ridiculous. Three of the attractions (Pitch Black, Escape from Oz, and Psycho Circus) were in trailers which consisted of 98% props and just walking around a cramped space in the dark. For $120.00 you would think they would be able to pay more actors to scare you; apparently not. The museum, maze, and hayride were extremely underwhelming. The actors barely made an effort to frighten you and once again most of the time all you saw were props. "Lost in Jason's Woods" was not only annoying because you had to hold onto a rope with your group to guide you through the woods, but again it wasn't scary at all. I was even pushed into a bush because the rope was so taunt in the front that when we rounded a corner I had no choice but to be squished to the side. The only two semi entertaining attractions were the Barn of Terror and the 3D Pirate's Revenge. However, they continued to use the monotonous "traipsing around in the dark" tactic for most of the time you were inside. The barn did have some creepy scenes from various horror films, but again the actors lacked that pizazz to really frighten you. The Pirate's Revenge was neat in certain spots due to the neon colors and 3D glasses, but most of the time I just had a headache. By the end of the night, we didn't even deem it appropriate to waste any more money buying any refreshments. Jason's Woods had taken enough from us; time, money, and not to mention the frustrating maze of detours that it took to get there in the first place. Bottom line, don't waste your precious time and money. Whoever keeps rating this high must be high themselves. read more

This was the first time back here for me in many years. I gathered a group of 9 together and we headed to Lancaster for Jason's woods. Let's just say, this was such a let down. We had a ticket for all 9 attractions. We had to start with a "museum" which was completely lousy. Then we went through a maze which was...meh...I am not gonna talk about all 9 attractions, but the hayride was next. The thing that they are known for. This thing was AWFUL. I guess a lot of actors must have been on break because we would pull up to certain areas. sit...wait...nothing...and then just pull away. It was awful. I was at Field of Screams two weeks ago and it was MUCH BETTER and CHEAPER than this place. I paid 45 dollars for nothing. At least all of my group was funny and we were able to joke the whole time and laugh. Otherwise it really would have been an awful experience. read more

Pretty bad. Paid 40 bucks for 6 attractions. The hayride was an absolute JOKE, hardly any actors and very limited scares. Clown carnival was pretty fun, not too many actors but you got lost a few times before finding your way out. Zombie portion was OK, pretty cool special effects. Other attractions were mediocre w limited scares. I gave an extra star bc the actors that were there gave a legit effort in trying to provide screams and staff was very nice.
