Jasper Drugs seems like the only small town pharmacy left. There can be little quirks, as with any business that is locally run, but they aren't things what would ever cause me to switch to one of the large, impersonal, pharmacies, EVER! They aren't going to have your bread and milk, like if you went to Kroger, but what they do have is a staff that will always recognize you with a smile. They see you from the pharmacy area when you walk in. The staff will help you with any question! Anything!! Jack has helped with things like; the best remedy for poison ivy, not just lotion, but actual, simple remedies that still really do work, assessing the issues with my aching shins, and providing a long-term solution, and so much more! And I'm always amazed at how quickly they fill my prescriptions! I don't have to worry that if I stop on my way to somewhere I'm going to be waiting forever,or that I'll have to stop in my way back to pick it up. I'm always able to get things filled on the first try! And when I ran out of my thyroid meds,and it was totally my fault, (a real problem considering I have no thyroid) Duane was able to lend me what I needed, immediately, until I could get with my doctor for a new prescription. This kind of small town care and convenience is becoming more and more difficult to find, so any day I have to go to Jasper Drugs, is a day that makes me happy to I live where I do! Thank goodness for this small town pharmacy! (And anything negative that you read has been left by someone who either doesn't understand how stuff works, or by someone who didn't do their part right and needed to pin the blame elswhere! I get it, stuff happens.) Trust me! Once you've been there, you simply won't want to go to any other pharmacy! There's a reason people keep going back,and that they have won small business of the year! It just doesn't get any better than the small town pharmacy on the corner of Main Street, USA! read more

Jessica in the Pharmacy was nothing short of absolutely amazing yesterday. My son has an allergy to a certain ingredient, & when I couldn't find a pharmacy to give me his prescription without the ingredient (Dr. even notated on the script to NOT give him the ingredient because he's allergic, and that it was not necessary for the medication.) Jessica got his medication sorted out for me and FAST. She ran through the hoops with the doctor, the insurance, and other pharmacy, she compounded his medication herself to be sure the ingredient he's allergic to was omitted from the medication. She got all of this done in a matter of FOUR HOURS. Maybe even less. I actually went ahead & just switched my entire family to Jasper Drug while I was there because I was so happy with the way I was treated and FINALLY taken seriously about my son's allergy. Jessica is 10/10, and she deserves a raise. read more

I moved to Jasper 9 years ago. I got tired of the impersonal and sometimes rude treatment of the large chain pharmacies. I went to Jasper Drugs today. What a wonderful experience! They took care of me right away. They were friendly caring people. I highly recommend! read more

Looking at the past reviews of Jasper Drug Store, obviously something has changed. I called to check on my child's ADHD prescription medication and was told yes, we have the prescription from your Dr. and yes we have the meds in stock, it will be ready tomorrow morning. When I arrived, the cashier told me it wasn't quite ready and would be ready in about 15 minutes and asked if I could wait. I explained to her that I was meeting a friend for lunch and that I would return later to pick it up. About an hour or so later, I arrived and was told by an older and rude lady that they would not be able to fill it. When I asked why and explained that I was told the previous day as well as an hour ago that it would be ready, she went on to say they are a small business and that with my insurance and my co-payment, they were still losing money. So, obviously, I offered to pay the difference. She said they were not allowed to have customers pay the difference because that was insurance fraud. I then explained that someone could have notified me that they were no longer going to fill my prescription and that would have given me a chance to find another pharmacy. I also explained to her that my child was at the University of Georgia and in final exams as well as had three projects due on the same day. I told her without the medication, my child would be going through withdrawals and in bed for 4-5 days at the most critical time. Again I offered to pay the difference. Again she refused to let me get the medication we so desperately needed. The price difference? $6.00. I was in total disbelief that any business would lose a customer over $6.00! And even more important had no concern at all of how desperately we needed that medication. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received. What this lady didn't realize is that I also shopped while I was there and had planned to move all of our prescriptions to that pharmacy when it was time to renew then. So, Jasper Drugs, you lost A LOT more than $6! And if $6 can put you out of business, maybe you should go ahead and close your doors. I have already told over a dozen people about my experience and I will continue to tell everyone I know. read more

This is by far the best pharmacy in town, the employees are very kind and accommodating

Two stores in one! Or more precisely two stores side by side. The store on the left is the gift shop, and carries a lot of clothing and knick-knacks. The store on the right is the drug store and has a pharmacy and all the usual drugstore items. The drug store also has a good selection of local books, with about 40 or 50 titles of all kinds of local history, hiking, and books by local authors. The gift shop carries some cookbooks. The stores have connecting doors inside and a checkout for both stores on each side. The drugstore side is open an hour or two more than the gift side; check their web site for details. read more

Unreal... This drugstore does not understand how to provide excellent customer service. They continually made significant pricing mistakes on my parents Rx. One Rx was billed at $163 and only when we called did they state it should have been billed at $11... His employee stated mistakes of this type are common and once notified by us it would be corrected... So it is up to the customer to find their mistakes. Then the owner tried to blame the healthcare industry on his billing mistakes... Try accepting responsibility... We immediately changed our Pharmacy. So sad that a business owner would treat his customers this way. read more

Love this place! Truly a drug and gift store, I can get my prescriptions filled and find wonderful gifts,decor, and jewelry while I wait. You can't beat the family atmosphere a druggists that will go above and beyond to meet your needs, even coming by at 3 in the morning to fill your child's prescriptions on your way home from the ER. I he never had a pharmacist give me their personal number for emergencies before, an though I would hate to have to use it, it is quite a reassurance when you have a sick child to know someone is available to help!
