To start, we made an appointment over the phone and her instructions for how to get to her studio and how the service were clear and concise. Furthermore, I was very confident + comfortable with her attention to details re: COVID19. Everything was very clean and we kept both our masks on until the inevitable photos started being taken. What I found most helpful was her advice on structurally creating flattering conditions and also on what kinds of clothing/hair/makeup to prepare for the event while still being respectful and mindful of the client's tastes. For instance, I immediately just assumed since these photos were professional in nature, that a black blouse would be ideal. She gently advised me that actually wearing something with a bit more color to it would be even more flattering, make me look friendlier, and overall convey more personality in the photo. I was surprised to hear that advice but she is the pro, not me, so we both ran with the idea and I brought a few options. Boy was she right! The end product photos were a HUGE, MASSIVE, MONSTROUSLY large improvement over the unflattering, generic, poorly lit photos my company had been using and advertising with.
