My friend and I came here for brunch and it was just perfect. I got a decaf skim latte and we split the Monte Cristo and the Kickin Chicken Sandwich. Both were delicious, but could easily see why the Monte Cristo was their signature sandwich. I love the creativity in how this was made and it was excellent. I would totally get this again. Service was great and just a great spot to chill and eat.

Home fries- overcooked and hard, no salt pepper nothing. Bacon egg and cheese bagel - bagel is 1 of those really bad store bought bagels in the bread aisle at the grocery store, not even a good store bought bagel. It was edible, the employees were nice and the coffee is pretty good. I would return for coffee, I wouldn't bother buying their food though.

Stayed in a VRBO close by and there was a menu on the fridge for this place. We finally went our final day, wish we had gone earlier! Super friendly service, great food too! The omelette was stuffed with ham and cheese. My husband loved his French toast too. The staff was so nice and helpful. Loved the decor and prayer box too!

Was meeting a friend for a quick lunch at a local place. It's been quite some time since I've been here, probably a few years. Masks are not required since you'll be eating. Everything is sanitized including the silverware that are packaged individually. Since I haven't had the opportunity to travel this past year for my go-to breakfast sandwich, I was excited to have the egg, ham, and cheese and selected the croissant (though there's options for other bread, including gluten free). Yeah, I probably can attribute my Covid weight to eating several croissants per week (gotta make it easy for new years resolutions). My friend who apparently comes here a lot had been texting me about being hungry and looking forward to the grits, ordered this overloaded grits. Gotta admit, it looked like a hearty meal. You simply need to order at the counter and take a seat, several tables including two outdoors. Someone brings your order. He was really nice and came back with several napkins either recognizing that I must be a messy eater or will need it . It was a pretty constant flow of people. They've been known for their coffee, and such (one of last time here was picking up an order for my visiting MIL) though options for breakfast all day of operating hours and lunch. It's been so long since I've eaten out locally, so it was great to see and catch up with neighbors who were working there and those eating there too. It's understandable why a nice flow of people as the prices are very reasonable, and you get some delish dish!

This Bistro has been here for 13 years! We live 2 miles away and didn't know they were here, but what a well kept secret. Their food is very good and the service is outstanding. They serve breakfast and lunch every day and are closed on Sundays. We liked the flexibility of their menu, and the food was cooked exactly as ordered. They even will toast your muffin if you would like - Pretty cool!! I also liked the Christian music played in the background as we ate. If you are looking for a quiet place to have a tasty breakfast or lunch and like friendly people who care about their customers, I'd highly recommend the Java Bistro at 5 Forks!

Cool little breakfast place in Five Forks. Fantastic breakfast menu with friendly service minded staff. Everybody smiles here. Bagels were close to New York. Sausage patties more like what grandma made, than the flavorless slabs you get in places like IHOP. Can't go wrong with the Lattes. Looking forward to returning for lunch.

We loved our visit to Java Bistro! The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is super friendly. Not to mention they have the best BLT, French fries, and vanilla latte I've ever had! This is definitely a must visit when in Greenville!

I was back in SC for a family illness/death visit, and had lots of errands to run in order to help the family prepare for the funeral. I made a quick visit to Java Bistro to pick up an espresso drink. I always have a somewhat negative reaction when I see that I have to walk to the back of an establishment to be served. It just feels funky. Once at the back, I ordered a cappuccino, asking if they had coconut milk? No. Almond milk? No. Just soy milk. So, okay, I went with soy milk, because I am lactose intolerant. The cappuccino was fine. I probably should have been specific and requested a bold espresso, but, to me, espresso by definition means you want something strong. Yes? I would definitely return to order again, as I enjoy supporting small businesses.

I hate to be the bearer or bad news, but I wasn't entirely impressed with this place. It is a small place in a little strip mall, tucked away in the corner of the particular strip in which it resides. We had a coupon so we decided to check the place out. The ordering process was a little cumbersome. There is only one person operating the cash register and nobody else was available to answer any questions (Do you have different coffee blends? What kinds of bagels do you have?). I basically had to wait until my turn to order to have these questions answered. Which meant I had to step back out of line to consult with my party, then wait again to order. I will say that the Greek omelette was delicious! Nice fluffy eggs with generous toppings. The bagels were store bought and a bit pricey for something I could get at BiLo ($2 each. For reference, Panera has homemade bagels for $.99). The coffee was not very good. The dark roast was not darker than the regular at Dunkin Donuts and there wasn't any flavor to it: tasted watered down. Everyone was nice and the omelette was good. I was hoping the coffee would be better to give me a reason to come back. Combine that with the store bought bagels, and it is doubtful I will be back. read more

Never tried a Greek omelette before because I didn't think I would like what was in one. Was I wrong. The owner recommended I give one a try and it was the best omelette I ever had. We try to eat there every Saturday so I can get my omelette. I have tried Greek omelettes everywhere I travel but, the ones made at the Java Bistro are by far the best. read more

My new favorite breakfast (and quite possibly lunch) place! Greek omelette.. best I've had in town.. fresh ingredients.. grits are extra but if you like grits, get them... well worth it. Bacon and egg on a small Kaiser roll was my favorite greasy spoon guilty pleasure whenever I was in New York... here it's cooked perfectly, bread toasted on the grill.. oh and one of the best cups of coffee in town.. I drink mine black and this coffee is not bitter at all like many I've tried. All in all a great addition to the area. read more

Excellent place! Plus they have a drive thru for the busy mornings. I have made several visits here. One of my favorite coffee places better than any other coffee I've had at other places. The menu has great choices. I've had quite a few things from it and all were great. The owner and staff really do care about their customers and are always friendly and efficient. Oh yes do try the smoothies they are delicious as well. It's been a while since I've been there but only because I have moved further away but I would and still will go back it's worth the drive for the great food, people and atmosphere. read more

ADORABLE breakfast joint. I went for breakfast with a "regular" who has been going every Saturday for years. They greeted him by name, and brought him "his usual." I had a greek omelette, and it was absolutely the best I've had so far. The portions are very generous for the price you pay. read more

This place is EXCEPTIONAL! The service is amazing, EVERYBODY is nice, and the food is unbeatable. Not to mention it is locally owned! There were a few cars ahead of me this morning in the drive thru and one of the ladies who works there was walking inside before even starting her shift and saw me waiting. Nobody smiling and lifeless. I drive by this place about 4 time a day and I absolutely refused to do business here from this experience. After many years, I gave this place another try. To my surprise it was a night and day difference from the first time I walked through the doors. A young lady at the entrance greeting you with a some samples and a big smile. Walked passed the bakery section and heard a very loud "how are you doing today". I almost passed out from someone actually speaking to me. I was in shock. This isn't the same place I visited when it first opened. I look around and see employees smiling and wanting to be there. In the distance I heard laughing coming from the deli and meat department. When I walked up, I was immediately greeted with a smile and asked if I needed any help. They were still in tears laughing by the way which was a nice feeling. So in a nut shell, this is what I think about Sprouts now. Great selection of products. The people are very nice. The Manager's Specials they have are amazing. I saw they had Rotisserie chicken for $.99 and some ham at the deli for $.50/lb. I'm a customer for life now and when I'm done shopping I go next door to Kairo's for a bite to eat.

Even more so than usual, since my ten foot tall Sprinter van does not fit under the overhang. I had to park and walk up. They seemed a little surprised by a walk up guest, but once that moment passed, the barista grabbed an iPad, took my order, and processed payment. Two minutes later, I was handed two hot coffees and we were back on the road. Mrs. K. absolutely loves their Blondie, and I enjoyed a nice drip with a splash of cream. 7 Brew does not overroast their coffee like some other big chains, so the flavor was smooth and pleasant as we drove north on I-85 toward Charlotte. The indoor acoustics allowed for easy conversation and the background music complements the room. Tavola is quickly becoming one of our favorites. We love the setting and the food. I tried the Branzino seafood entree which I had never heard of, but it was delicious. My wife had the Pappardelle pasta. Hey, It's Eric, the owner....lot's of changes we have made over the years to improve your experience....some pics on this page are not accurate any longer....we now have pretty wood floors in our dining room and a more cool grey interior walls with updated rustic decorations. Rearranged a lot of things over the last year too. I'll try to get some pics on here to represent us better. I'm usually a little busy trying to keep our food and service top notch. Thanks to all who support our family owned local biz. You are the reason we love what we do. read more
