Absolutely disgusting! I was here last week and the customer service was terrible. The two people working had a bad attitude. My latte tasted like a literal milkshake, yuck. They charge extra for whipped cream. And they use some nasty powders to make all of the drinks, nothing is fresh. I dropped my kids off at sports nearby, and was on the hunt for caffeine. The wait was reasonable,and the employee was friendly. I was pleasantly surprised that the grande latte had three shots of espresso for the size and low price (compared to other coffeehouses). The beverage was ready quickly while I waited in my van. The espresso was smooth and milk was creamy. I also asked for a cup of water for my daughter, and was not charged. I would come here again if I was passing through. One suggestion is for a stamp card and/or specials posted on social media, it would be a great way to get return visitors. read more

Stop by this place on my drive back from SF to Selma and finally back to Orange County. It's a small drive thru with a seating area. I ordered a white mocha and my wife and iced coffee. This place is simply fantastic. The drinks were great, tasted very fresh and flavorful. It always nice supporting local businesses and trying something new rather the standard Starbucks, plus its costs quite a bit less. Will be back. read more

The prices are very reasonable and the sizes are good. They restarted their 'loyalty card' that u get stamped for each trip, ending with a free drink. What I also like about this coffee is that it tastes more homemade and flavorful than other coffee shops like Starbucks. Don't get me wrong, I am a loyal Starbucks fan, but when I can, I go to Java Express. The drinks are made on the spot and the wait time is reasonable. Best place to get coffee in Selma! Just easy to pass by it accidentally since you can't see it very well from the street at 40mph. I always add an extra shot at Starbucks so I do here as well and it's delicious! (I don't like my frapps too sweet). Java lava sucks, they don't even put any coffee in their frapps. I was jonesing for a good cup of coffee while approaching Selma. I checked Yelp and this place had good reviews so I decided to give it a try. I asked for a plain cup of coffee and a banana or an apple. They do not have fruit I found out. They did have oatmeal however so I got that instead. I noticed on the window all the food they serve is just boxed frozen food from the grocery store. Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches and whatnot. I took my coffee and oatmeal and drove away. Once they cooled enough I tried them. The coffee they have is not good. It was just Farmer Brothers or something along those lines. I guess you wouldn't notice it so much in a sweet frozen blended drink of some sort. Not good by itself. The oatmeal was not good. Maybe it was really old or something but it tasted like Charmin toilet paper. Don't ask how I know that. Just take my word for it. $5 for a cup of bad coffee and a package of instant oatmeal. read more

False advertisement on cards. It states that "Free drink on OR after 10th purchase" but I never get a free drink when it's on the 10th punch. Should consider changing what the rewards cards say if you aren't going to do what they say. Good drinks. Service isn't that great. read more
