I thought I'd stop in after I had heard about Lena from a Yelp event. I went to last night at Frida Café. They had used black honey in there coffees so I had to grab a bag. Located downtown near Tioga Sequoia. Which is just a block away. I went online before I left and placed an order and it was ready within 40 minutes or so. I don't believe they grind them for you there as I did not ask so my beans were whole beans, but they also sell a fancy grinder a bag cups, another swag there. There's parking on the street with no meters with a two hour parking limit. It might be hard if you are in a wheelchair, but if you go around to a driveway, you can roll up in. read more

A lot of places buy their coffee for their restaurants and you can buy it here in containers or even large bags. They have it laid out when you walk in and there's a fresh coffee smell! GREAT! Coffee is ok. Nothing to write home about. However, it is impossible to contact these people. They don't answer their phone and their is nothing on the "contact us" section of their website. They also bombard you with marketing email which you cannot unsubscribe to. The only way could make it stop was to set my email filter to "delete immediately from server". I won't do business with them again. read more

Lanna coffee is so good! I stumbled upon it being sold in the Costco on Blackstone and decided to give it a try. I have no complaints! For just about $3 above other name brands, I can support a local business that sources their product ethically. Can't think of a better deal than that. I have made really yummy oat milk iced lattes, as well as hot coffees with the beans. I'd definitely recommended getting yourself a bag. read more

Lanna is delicious coffee for a good cause. The Mann family has for years helped to improve the lives of people in Thailand, please look up Lanna Coffee Co's story. Their local Fresno shop on Broadway is not a cafe for sitting around drinking coffee. The coffee bar is *usually* open but my impression is this spot is really for commercial purposes and buying fresh roasted coffee by the pound. I've tried several of their roasts and they are all delicious. They recently started offering smaller bags of village specific coffee, which are really something else, complex and distinctive. We get our office coffee from Lanna, they deliver our yummy coffee once a month. They are local so you can totally customize your order. I highly recommend you check them out read more

COVID sucks. It took the life of a friend's uncle. The friend lives in Fresno. I do not. I asked some locals for coffee recommendations to send fresh beans to the friend who was grieving. What could be better than a surprise delivery -- and something she can use to brighten every morning in this difficult time? Lanna was on the recommendation list. They offer *free* local delivery, and on the order I put a note about what was happening. They handwrote my message to my friend, delivered it to her door, and she was so moved. Oh -- and the beans I ordered also benefit a local children's hospital. I cannot recommend this place enough, for going above and beyond to brighten a friend's day and also donating to charity while doing so. I hope some day to thank them in person. read more

Lanna's Cold Brew is so good and so smooth. I have been drinking it for a couple years, ever since I went to a Yelp cupping event there. I just had it delivered to my house for the first time and boy was that easy. I also use their cold brew filter bags to brew the cold brew at home. I even make the nitro cold brew. All of them are perfect. With summer right around the corner, I am excited to ramp up my cold brew consumption. So pleased that they make such an incredible product and make it easy to buy in multiple ways. I also love your hot coffee but that is a whole other story! :-) read more

Unfortunately, I found out after a drive into downtown that this is NOT a cafe, they do not have coffee drinks. It's a roaster and they sell beans and coffee accessories. But I was not disappointed because I had a good conversation with the guy who came out to greet me and tell me more about what they do. He was very nice and genuine. I happily purchased a couple bags of beans from him. Would love to see them with a cafe attached to their roaster warehouse one day! read more

I attended a tasting event today to check out the new coffee place in Fresno. Their cold brewed coffee is amazing, especially cold brewed coffee with nitrogen. It had creamy and yet light flavor that is very refreshing on a hot summer day here in the valley. I purchased Artisan blend that is lightly roasted and their house blend of medium roast. Lanna Coffee is not only fair trade, it also supports the local villagers who are involved in growing coffee beans in Thailand. To me it means a great deal knowing that coffee contains no fertilizer and pesticide, as the sales person explained, and contributes to the local population in Thailand. I was also told that 25% of revenue goes back to the local tribes, which I think is terrific! read more

Recently went to Thailand on our honeymoon; specifically, we spent a few days in Chiang Mai. I fell in love with the coffee produced there! Thai coffee beans are not common among American roasters and shipping costs from Thai roasters are not feasible for an individual consumer. Lanna is the newest entrant into Fresno's blossoming coffee scene. They are starting small: roasting beans for other cafes in town and selling them by the bag from their downtown roastery. Except for during special events like today's open house, you can't actually buy a cup of coffee here, yet. I spoke with the owner about the cafe's future, and his dream is to eventually have a large-scale cafe. His first goal is a strictly to-go pour over and espresso bar; expect to see that in the not-so-distant future. The full cafe is a ways off, but I can't wait for it. For now, I really enjoy their coffee beans. The source (fairly paid, small farmers in the hill country of Northern Thailand) makes the wonderful flavors just that much better. The "Honey Artisan" is my favorite, but every flavor is good. The staff is super friendly and extremely excited to be a part of the downtown community. I'm looking forward to watching Lanna's evolution and wish them the best of luck! read more

Great coffee. Great cause. Stopped in here on an ArtHop night and the female employee was so friendly and helpful. It doesn't appear that they have a coffee bar but you can buy their whole bean coffee here (12oz for $15 or the better value 2.2 lbs for $30) or there awesome cold brew ($3 per bottle). I tried their roast for the first time at The Revue in the Tower District (great spot) and automatically noticed the quality. Fast forward to present time, I was more personally introduced to Lanna Coffee through a classmate who works for the company and decided to purchase some from the website. Boy, can I say amazing. Their Single Serve KUPS (K-Cups) are hands down the best I've ever tried and I've had my fair share of them. Got that in their French Roast, as well as their French Roast regular coffee.
