We stopped here on our way to the Fresno airport for a bite to eat before our flight. I had this diner saved in my collection and it was a nice little place to stop. It is your usual hike in the wall diner but the staff were super friendly and so patient. Our waitress answered all of our questions and made our experience a great one. I decided to get the Mexicali Fiesta Omelet and the hubs got the pancake breakfast with the hash browns and eggs. Everything was delicious! 4+ I usually go to the Malaga location, but this McCoy's is honestly so much better. Very obvious that the customer service here is better. They are super welcoming and they are owned by the same people I believe. Plus, the cooks definitely know what they're doing. Definitely the food is tastier here and the portions are way bigger than what you get at Malaga. Will return back to this location (even if I have to drive a little bit longer). read more

Last time I came with my grandpa there was a roach under my plate of food and it had crawled out onto the table. We told the waitress but didn't opt the refund, only place I've ever eaten at where a roach literally crawled off of my plate within seconds of being brought to the table, not great, also a few year back my steak was raw almost blue rare, I asked for it medium and it was served with the eggs and its juices on top, steak had no flavor, it's really or hit or miss, I've only been here a handful of times but yet it's almost a 50/50 on if it will be a good visit. read more

7/12/25 Getting breakfast for tomorrow! Chili Verde breakfast burrito with egg white, extra hot sauce on the side. The worker was very kind and said it would be ready in 15 minutes. Arrived and checked in. Greeted by many. Order was ready. I paid for it and wished a good day! Great! Clean, safe & practiced. My service was fine my review has to deal with the food I ordered. I ordered the 12oz. Rib Eye it was med rare like I requested, however, it was the lowest grade of meat. It was not charbroiled on a grilled. I think it was cooked liked where the eggs are cooked as it was slimed with butter or grease I couldn't tell which. I forced 3bites down and then asked for a to go box as not to be judgmental. Through it out when I got home. I wouldn't feed it to a dog. It was that bad. I know times are hard but it was $24 and I eat steaks for that price all the time and have never been so disappointed. The mashed potatoes were from a box as the had no flavor and were watery. I felt sorry for the place as it was cute looking from outside. Inside maybe three guests dining. I thought what a good little coffee shop this could be with the right type of owner. But with standards and quality being so low, this place is not going to make it. I'd be surprised if it lasts 6 months. read more

I don't usually post like this, but I had to today. I ordered the eggs and bacon with the crispy hashbrowns at McCoy's Restaurant in Selma, CA. Sometimes the cook will reduce the size of the portion and cook them thin, not the best. But today the cook did it right? Everything to my liking, and the hashbrowns were spot on, nice and crispy outside soft on the inside. So I took the time to compliment the staff, cook, and the owner, Mike. What a great guy. I've been here a lot and everything is good. And the price is comparable to anywhere else you'd go. While on a road trip we came across this place on accident and decided to eat there. Food was full of flavor! We went with the chile verde burrito and chile verde skillet with over easy eggs, it was sooooo delicious. The food was served extra hot which allowed for each bite to be warm, love it. We also got a biscuit and gravy to try it and we are so glad we did. The biscuit was big and moist, the gravy was not overly thick and had such great flavor. Meal also came with a pancake that was the size of the plate!!! The wait staff was very attentive to refills and nice. It was busy but so worth it. The coffee was a perfect blend. Although they were extremely busy, the wait for our food was not long. Portions are big so one burrito can feed possibly two people. The building has character as well as the inside telling a story that you can see on the walls with the memorabilia. "If you're eating, thank a farmer. If you're eating in peace, thank a veteran." Not sure why the reviews on this restaurant aren't higher. McCoy's is an older diner restaurant, built in the 60's and it may still look like that era but everything is clean, food is good, friendly service, generous portions and despite a market, where everything has gone up, their prices are still reasonable. McCoy's is a comfortable place where you will find it full of locals eating and solving the world's problems! We always go back, when we're in Selma and we'll continue. read more

If you have good service with good food served hot you're already ok in my book. I was stuck for a while in Selma and took advantage of McCoys being within walking distance. Lucky me......I was sat immediately and despite the tasty looking all day bfast menu I opted for the French dip and half onion rings/fries. I wasn't disappointed, if you're a fan of the French Dip sandwich you could do worse. I'd definitely come back for another or maybe to try breakfast. At 5 am you'll find farmers, blue collar workers, and early risers enjoying morning coffee and local politics over hearty breakfasts. 7 am families and other folks are in and out after great service that is quick and friendly. Went today with my cousin had been a while, the waitress was rude and her lips you can see she gets them injected but note to her ugh stop she don't look right. They got my order wrong I ordered grilled turkey and bacon they gave me grilled turkey NO bacon and when I asked she charged me for bacon ugh bacon comes with the sandwich. Asked for a side which they got right but they don't put cucumber's on the side salad just the tuna ugh that doesn't make sense. Well hopefully when I go next time we get another waitress. read more

We had a few good meals here but I've the past few weeks it seems to have gone downhill and we won't be returning after today. Ordered coffee, I use half and half and all they had on the table was creamer which is disgusting. I asked for half and half and the waitress said they haven't had any in over a month, which was a lie because I was just there the previous Saturday and they had some. On top of lying she was rude and walked away before I could ask for something else. We ordered a salad with our meal and all it was, was shredded iceberg and a sliced tomato. Chicken was over cooked and dry. Baked potato was under cooked and still hard. The burger was just slopped together. They don't seem to care so I don't care to give them anymore money. Add. It wasn't our waitress that was rude. It was the one that brought us drinks. Our waitress was very nice and has been our waitress several times before and has always been amazing. I know it seems petty...to be this upset over half and half, but if you're going to be a "breakfast restaurant" you should have the essentials and if you don't for some odd reason you shouldn't charge for milk in its place. (Which was our option). None of this blame goes on our waitress. If the hostess is the one who brought our drinks maybe she shouldn't be a hostess...or a waitress, and the lack of product seems like a management problem. read more

Listen this place ain't no fancy-smancy restaurant. This place is a dive and I mean that in the best way possible. It's a working man's, and woman's, diner serving great tasting, huge portions of food which gets to your table fast and hot by genuinely friendly waitresses... unless you have an attitude with them then they'll give it right back to you. (They're feisty in a good way.) The huge plates of food are priced fair with kids and seniors menus for those with smaller appetites. McCoy's Coffee shop is one of those old school mom and pop type of joints that is located right off Freeway 99 in Selma. As soon as you walk in, you will experience a welcoming vibe by the friendly waitresses, smell of pancakes in the air and conversations in the background of their regulars. Right away we stuck our faces into the breakfast section of their menu. A chile verde skillet and the impossible breakfast was the choice of breakfast for my brother and I. Overall a well four stars is deserved. Only thing I will recommend to McCoy's is stronger coffee please. :) read more

Had brunch here. This is the meat lovers omelette with hash browns and pancakes. And another meat lovers omelette with cheese added and country potatoes with biscuits and gravy. Food is always good here. The cheese definitely could have been melted a little more. The biscuits and gravy were good I did add some salt and pepper though. The pancakes are some of the best pancakes I've had. Soft and fluffy. They were delicious. And I love how you can get pancakes or biscuits and gravy as you choice of "toast". Delicious food, and quite a variety. I enjoyed the meat, lovers omelette, and sourdough toast, and country potatoes and was very satisfied.

Decided to have breakfast with my grandson. Once the waitress brought our plates of food over and sat them on the table. Immediately we noticed a roach walking across the table, fell to the ground and I smashed it. The service is great, the food is great, but I thought I would get some form of discount for having that roach on my table after I pointed it out to the manager. As you walk in the restaurant they have a posting on the door" they are keeping the restaurant clean" After reading that, then seeing the roach on the table makes me wonder if I should go back. read more
