In the new year they have made some changes in decor and offer a complimentary drink when seated. When it came time to pay I didn't notice much of a difference (if at all) in the charge. This nail spa is located inside the Tanger Outlet mall. I was totally disappointed with my manicure/gel set. The male manicurist did not cut the loose skin around my nails. When I brought it to his attention, he was actually rude told me and told me, " I am not finished". Well here is a picture of my "finished." nails, and yes he was correct, the manicure was not finished. Rushed service. Terrible service. I've been getting my nails done for a while now and know what good nails look like. The guy finished my nails in 15 minutes with a crooked shape and uneven polish. There were chunks of acrylic residue under my nails. I went back in to have the shape and color fixed and they still did a shitty job. They left nail polish on my skin and did not even put a top coat! Don't come to this place unless you want marshmallow nails. Waste of time and money! My daughter wanted her nails done, so we came here, since I was going to another store at the outlet. I usually end up finding an uneven area or something after Ieave a manicure that I hyperfocus on. He did such a great job and even caught and corrected an imperfection that I didn't notice. I haven't gotten tips for a very long time, but these came out so beautiful that I'm thinking I may change my mind on that. My daughter is over the moon with hers, as well. My nails.. are terrible and I'm really mad I wasted my money on them I should've went to my shop I always go to. A guy here made them VERY thin then got mad I wanted a design he claimed he couldn't do which I felt like he didn't wanna do it cause it was so easy.. (a smiley face) I had to continuously tell him how to fix my nails and and when he walked to the back for a while I let the other lady do the design. I would NEVER go back there kept smudging and redoing my color because he put way too many coats on before letting one coat dry THATS why it looks chewed up I was so uncomfortable and unsatisfied with spending my money and not getting what I wanted I left cause it wouldn't dry. they guy says to me oh well I should've paid for gel it makes it easier for them.. which I usually do but this time I decided NO!!. Some of these reviews are definitely fake. This place is sooooo bad. Especially for acrylic. I got a full set and there was acrylic stuck to my finger in multiple nails, they were SOOOO uneven. I got a coffin shape and the person sawed into my finger with a nail file. He painted over my cuticles with polish. Didn't even trim my cuticles. I get my nails done all the time and he missed a lot of steps. 1 popped off the next day so I went to my regular salon to have it fixed and they even asked me where I went because it was so bad. And my nail tech told me never to go there again because they can't possible be licensed producing work like that. A shame I spent my money there. read more

What should have been a very pleasant experience for my mother, three sisters and my niece and I.. turned into a very bad unsettling experience. We Booked five pedicures and one manicure prior to entering the salon. They took three of us back for pedicures and only worked on one person at a time. While the other three waited upfront for their services, the salon took walk-ins with no wait time or booked appointment!! Very unacceptable!! I do not recommend Java Nail Spa at all. The front desk guy couldn't even look up from his cell phone when I walked in to greet me and still would not look at me when he asked what I needed done. He then sat me in a pedicure chair and walked away without handing me a pedicure menu nor did he let me know when someone would be helping me. 25 minutes went by before someone came over (and of course the front desk guy was just sitting on his cell phone the entire time). I got the nicer pedicure option only to see that they use cheap "pedicure packets" that I'm pretty sure are sold at Walmart and smelled terrible.. They do not use sterilized tools.. I saw her pull the file and nail clippers out of a tool box and the nail file had other colors on it so I know it was used on other people. The paint job I received is pathetic for how expensive it was. $40 for the pedicure and $13 EXTRA for gel.... The coat is uneven and the cuticle looks crappy. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. read more

I love going to java nails. Ask for Anne, she did them perfectly. I am very picky and particular with how my nails are done and it took me forever to finally find someone who dose them right. No crooked nails. No lifting for over 2 weeks after with acrylic and gel nail polish, and the paint job was great as well. No complaints at all. I am just so excited and happy I don't have to look anymore for a great nail tech. On top of that they are really nice people that work there. Really nice and clean. I watched the nail tech clean her station and tools and disinfect everything, but she never spoke to me once. I asked her for a color recommendation because i couldnt pick between two burnt orange colors, but she just shrugged and didnt help. I recently stopped biting my nails and have grown my nails out a bit, but they arent very strong. The man at the front desk recommended i do dip powder nails so that i didnt damage my natural nail which i really appreciate. HOWEVER, the result was NOT pretty. The nail color was really thick and made my nails look even more stubby and short then they were and the woman used an e-file on my natural nail before beginning. I understand that's necessary for the color to stick, but kind of goes against not damaging my natural nail. I may as well have just gotten long acrylic nails. My nails also looked extremely dry and the skin around them was flaky when i left. Zero cuticle care at all. The worst part was that the nail color CRACKED and came off (quite painfully i might add) after only four days. No worth the $35. I can but glue on nails from CVS and paint them and they look better and last longer than this did. read more

Worse experience I have had. The guy at this nail spa is so RUDE . He messed up one of my nails with the UV lights and when I said something to him about it he said go wash your hands and I will fix. I come back he has an attitude. So I say nevermind and proceeded to pay for my nails and after I give this fool my card, well he snatched it and after the transaction he threw it back to me. I told them I thought they closed at 7, they said they do but they have stopped taking people already. She said this as other people were getting their nails done.
