I never leave reviews, but I feel that I have to with this. I've been going here for a couple of…read moreyears now and at first it was great. However, the last year or so the quality of service has fallen so far down that I will not be going back and I think people should steer clear of this location. I gave them two, even three chances to redeem themselves, but the last straw for me was when came in and requested a "modern mullet" style haircut and even had an example. The cut I got is so terrible I actually felt the need to tell him myself before leaving. To make things worse the cut is practically not able to be saved and I might have to go straight to a buzz cut. I hope this helps someone make their decision.

In my 42 years of life, I've received haircuts from well over 30 different barbers in various cities/states. Some were good, some great, but most of them had no business with a license or in a shop period! The reason for all the barbers is because very seldom did I receive the quality service I expect from a professional barber. For me, it's not always about the haircut. There's another very important component known as "rapport building", which 90% of barbers tend to lack the professionalism or mindfulness to do. If I were going through a drive-thru to get a haircut, I'd be perfectly fine with getting in and out and not really developing a rapport. It's like going to a fast food spot vs. a restaurant; the level of quality service expected is going to change. Well, a few months ago... I needed a haircut and beard lineup, but due to my complex schedule I couldn't make it to my previous barber who did a phenomenal job taking care of me and my son. I had known for sometime that Javier "JM the Barber" was a barber and saw some of his work too. Although his images looked great, I was still a little bit apprehensive because I'm a perfectionist and also have a great deal of loyalty to a barber once I'm settled in and comfortable. All of this being said, I visited the shop and Javier gave me a warm welcome which really differentiated him from other barbers off the top. He promised to deliver the best of his best and took time to really understand my vision. As a Puerto Rican and Black man, I have really loose curly/wavy hair when it's long and I wanted to go super short. Huge decision and nerve racking as hell! Javier listened attentively, executed flawlessly, and sent me out the shop feeling AMAZING!!! This dude is so well rounded and earned every dollar of his ridiculously fair haircut rate. I had the same barber from my 1st haircut until I was 26 years old! After my dear friend Steve the barber past away I went 10 years without bieng able to find someone to fade me up with the precision and quality I had grown accustomed to. During that time I always had a bad haircut or I just shaved my head. Went through about 6 or 7 barbers and I could never find anyone to fade and line me up the way I expected! That was a very dark time for me, going from a man who always kept a fresh fade to becoming a man who could never find a barber to fade and line me up to the level I was accustome to! That is until I met Javier, and I'm forever grateful I did! From the 1st time he lined me up I get complimented on how clean and precise my fades are! In the last 2 years I've never had a busted haircut! Flawless is an understatement when it come to how dope Javier is at his profession! If you care about the way your hair look go see my boy! Javi's skills are on point. I called the same day to get an appointment since my original barber ha to get surgery. Javi was able to get me in a couple of hours later. He hooked me up with a fresh cut and he took his time. My fade turned out amazing as he never rushed and you can tell he loves what he does. It was my first time but it felt like he had been cutting my hair for a long time because his personality was laid back and easy going. Will DEFINITELY be going back.
