First, I show up to pick up the food, the salsa was just thrown into the bag and one had broke open. I thought 'stuff' happens, no big deal, ask for new one, no problem. Then I got home. As I am taking the food inside I notice parts of the box were damp. The person had put the salsa on the lids of the consomme breaking the lids. Javi's continues to shine in my books. There staff greets you right when you walk in the door. The place had quite a few patrons, which isn't a surprise on Taco Tuesday. You can't beat their $2 street tacos. So many wonderful meats to choose from. The Birria and Al pastor are a must try. They have plenty of toppings and we just love the chip salsa (request when you add the cold toppings). We paired the tacos with some chips and queso. Javi's is the BEST! End! Seriously though they have the most amazing food. I could eat here every single day and never get tired of it. Service it pretty quick and food is made fresh to order. I have had street tacos and birria tacos from here. Both are delicious but birria are my absolute favorite. The order comes with 3 tacos and a side of red or cilantro lime rice. I absolutely LOVE Javi's queso. It is my favorite queso I have ever had. I also love their HUGE burritos whether I am having one for breakfast or lunch! The workers there have always been nice and friendly to me when I go in (I normally get it to go). It is always very clean in any Javi's location I've gone to. I also really love their fried shrimp street tacos! Javi's is definitely a go to for me especially their chips and queso (16 ounce every time) as well as their breakfast burritos. Sweet Lord, this place is horrible. I wouldn't even consider it food. The fish tacos were so burned I wasn't sure if it was actually fish or fried bandaids. The red rice was the most flavorless undercooked rice that has ever existed. There are plenty of other crappy Mexican restaurants in town that serve edible food. I saw this place while driving to another taco joint and decided to stop in, I do not regret stopping here. I ordered the Javi's tacos as a combo. I got two ground-beef tacos on corn tortillas with a side of beans and rice. I couldn't decide between the cilantro rice or red rice and between black beans or charro beans so the server suggested half and half on both. Had this for lunch today. I went in right before 1pm and it was surprisingly slow. Only one person ahead of me in line. I got two Javi tacos, one with carnitas and one with birria. For toppings I did the javi's way. And tried the tomatillo salsa. The service was friendly. Just very slow, took me over 15 minutes to get my food to go, if I wasn't on break I wouldn't of minded but it had me rushing back to my vehicle to smash it down quick. I noticed they were putting together a to go order, but I just imagined it moving a little faster. The food was pretty good though ! I liked the birria meat over the carnitas, all the toppings were fresh and tasty. Little pricey. Paid $10 for my two little tacos. Next time, think I'll try the burrito for $14 and get the bang for my buck. The inside was clean and looked well maintained. When I walked in I was reminded of Qdoba because of the style-- walk up to the counter and order based on wall menus. I asked the cashier to recommend a meatless meal and she suggested quesadillas or a rice bowl with grilled veggies instead of meat. The rice bowl sounded just right for me. After the basic ingredients of rice, beans, and veggies, there's a condiment bar to choose additions such as guac, sour cream, pico, and salsa. There was even pineapple for those so inclined. The space is somewhat industrial but has some green vents in the ceiling that probably help reduce noise too. It was quiet when I was there, with all 5 booths filled as well as a couple of tables. I really liked the bowl-- I ordered mixed rice ( cilantro & red), black beans, and veggies which had bell peppers, onions, cilantro and possibly corn. I had added pico, sour cream, guac, and cheese so everything was mixed up. The only thing I didn't like was the couple of really large pieces of onion that didn't get chopped up. But it was very flavorful and a good-sized portion. I declined a margarita, but they have three pre-made flavors plus Mexican sodas, standard American sodas and some beer. Javi's also serves breakfast. Mexican food without cerveza or margarita is incomplete, but I was driving. Bookguy will have to come with me next time. read more

What a spot, open early and probably the happiest service I have ever had that early in the morning. The burrito that I had was spectacular. Tons to chose from. You'll need several napkins or a few paper towels would work too but, an actual towel would be best for cleaning up. Do Not try to eat the burrito while driving. Trust me. We stopped in for dinner on a Saturday, our first time here. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed the fact that you can go down the line and add various toppings to your food. I really enjoyed the Birria platter, the rice was very flavorful and the tacos were loaded with meat. The nachos were great of course because we could customize them. My wife enjoyed he street tacos. WIN 278! Randy Santel and I became the first two people to attempt the new "Javi's Platter" Mexican Food Challenge put on by Javi's Taco Omaha! We each had 1 hour to finish over 6lbs of the most popular items on Javi's menu. There was a 2lb chorizo breakfast burrito, 3 Birria tacos, 2 steak street tacos, 2 "Javi's Tacos" with pork al pastor, chips, queso, & salsa, and a lengua (beef tongue) quesadilla. I finished the challenge in 47:32, and Randy finished shortly after me. We each received our $60 meals free, a tshirt & hat, plus we will be the first two up on Javi's Wall of Fame! There were three of us. We had carne asada, chicken, carnitas, birria, and chorizo tacos. All had a generous amount of meat. The toppings offered and salsa bar was good. The issues we had was with the chorizo tacos. They were so greasy and essentially floating grease in the container. We will likely go back, but definitely steering clear of the chorizo. read more

This was recommended by family members on the East Coast. They said it is all over Tic Toc, so of course we had to check it out. While the employees were friendly, it is quite overrated. I have been given full portion sizes every single time I've gone but this is the first time I have been served by this kid. I didn't get his name, but he had short brown hair and glasses and was very skinny. I asked for fries in my burrito and he put seven fries in and threw the rest of them away. What difference does it make whether or not I get those fries or they go in the trash. That's just careless, stingy, and lazy. read more
