As we were coming back into SWFL from vacation we stopped in Ocala for a burger craving to be filled; Jaws Jumbo Burger was our pick and let me tell you why: 1) Local owned by Burger Master Darryl and his lovely wife Yolanda. 2) Fresh ground beef; daily. 3) Real food cooked in beef tallow, NO seed oil 4) Shark theme First thing we noticed was that it was clean inside this large burger joint and it doesn't smell like old restaurant grease! Yolanda was waiting at the order desk with a smile, greeting and a back story of their journey to Florida. She also went over the menu and was very precise in explaining specials, popular items, etc. Our group of four ordered 2 single patty burgers and 2 double patty burgers; all with fries and a drink. Please note, this is a CASH ONLY facility. If you don't have cash on hand, they do have an ATM on the property. As we found a seat and waited for our fresh made burgers, there is a GIANT screen TV playing great white shark documentaries to pass the time...Remeber, it's real food being cooked to order Also, I would encourage you to check out all the shark paraphernalia that adorns the walls. Burgers hot, fries crisp and drinks ice cold...we all dug in. Let me tell you, the 2 patty burger is fork and knife worthy! Juicy meat, soft bun and toppings crisp. Our table was silent for a good 2-3 minutes before anyone came up for air ... excellent burger for sure! Please be aware; you will be fully satisfied upon leaving and I guarantee you'll be back! We did go here and the woman working at the front was very kind and helpful. The place is adorable with sharks everywhere and a hugh and I mean hugh TV showing divers going down deep in the water where sharks are. They have a deal for $8.99 where it's a single burger, fries and maybe a drink. We both ordered a big burger, fries and at least one soda. It was probably around $35. Our fault we should have ordered one big burger and then get the $8.99 deal to keep costs down. We took some home bc there was 1/2 of the big burger home. read more

The owner Yolanda is delightful!! She instantly makes you feel like a regular. I have a gluten allergy and she was so sweet to prepare me a burger with extra toppings to make up for the lack of bun. The food is good, maybe not the best burger I've ever had but solid nonetheless and definitely fresh and cooked to order. The chocolate milkshake was classic and tasty. Fun shark/jaws themed memorabilia all over with a screen playing shark documentaries. They really committed to the theme! Better than I could have imagined. Jumbo isn't in the name for no reason! These burgers were killer. I don't think I'll ever have fast food again haha. The woman who works up front is delightful and told me about the history of the restaurant. 40~ years in Michigan , 3~ years in Tennessee, now here in Ocala, Fl. It's so refreshing to dine in somewhere, privately owned, with a passion for making good food. I loved the decorations and my son loved looking at all of the sharks. We tried a single with bacon and cheese simple like I like my burgers. My husband had the double with all the fixings. Both of us enjoyed it the fries were hot and crispy - oh and don't forget a cookie. wowza I love chocolate chip cookies it reminded me of my high school lunch room cookies. The best!! Jaws is consistently good food, and even better, they swapped out seed oils for beef tallow! Make sure you bring cash as they are a cash only establishment. This place was AMAZING. The atmosphere is easily an 11/10, and the Jaws theme is awesome. I personally love the movie, so this was a really cool experience. The burgers here are great. I've gone twice with my mom, and we both have a gluten allergy, so we ordered the burgers without buns in a salad-style form. They were delicious. The service is immaculate. The lady who owns the place is so nice--an absolutely lovely person. I will definitely be coming back. The prices also aren't bad. I'd much rather eat here and have real food than spend the same amount at somewhere like McDonald's for frozen fake burgers. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience. Wow! Just WOW! We waited too long to visit Jaws Jumbo Burgers. The place is exceptionally decorated in shark and Jaws theme. Even the restrooms followed the theme. First of all the couple who owns this restaurant are absolutely wonderful. They were so incredibly sweet and welcoming to both my boyfriend and I as this was our first time visiting. She explained the menu and gave us recommendations. We both ordered Jaws double frenzy combos with a lemonade and a chocolate milkshake. These burgers are MASSIVE!!! The owner was very friendly and made the entire experience very enjoyable. From the greeting to explaining the menu because it's my first time, and checking up on me to make sure my meal was to my liking, it was a very friendly and pleasant vibe. The food was delicious too, I got the megalodon and the portion is indeed huge. Almost had to take a nap in the middle because it was so filling. Well, there wasn't a line out of the door, but there was a packed room inside and about 11 people in front of us when we walked in. The procedure seems to be that you order and don't forget...they are CASH ONLY...so make sure you bring from $20-$50 with you to cover everything. If you're getting a specialty burger and making it a combo, it's going to run you about $15 for a double specialty burger and at least another $6 for the drink and the side item -- keep in mind that it's going to cost alot more, depending on how many patties you're putting on it! They have onion rings and fries...coleslaw as well. That would probably be a nice change, especially since they also have chicken sandwiches AND fish too! They even have a fish and chips dinner and chicken tenders for those less inclined to eat a burger. The kids menu is ingenious because it covers the entire field...grilled cheese, chicken tenders and sliders. Oh and keep in mind that they grind their 100% sirloin burgers fresh in-house every day. They even have old-fashioned ice cream milkshakes AND malts! Wow, I wish I wasn't allergic to milk now...a malt sounds delicious . They might seem slow, but keep in mind, EVERYTHING is cooked to order. If you went into another restaurant and sat down and ordered, you definitely would be expecting to wait for your meal, wouldn't you? Seems that the word has gotten out though...there's been a STEADY stream of people coming thru that door ever since WE walked thru it! And they still keep coming...so if you were one of those ridiculous people in so much of a hurry that you left before you ordered, you missed out and I feel sorry for you. Check out the pictures I post and I'm sure you'll be kicking yourself!! We are some decent eaters, but there was absolutely NO WAY we could possibly eat all of our burgers. We both could only way HALF. Talking to a rather hilarious customer and his wife in line and he was talking smack about getting the triple megaladon burger...the guy has got to be nuts. There's no way!! We didn't even make it thru more than half of our burgers! All in all, it was a tasty burger, WAY WAY too big to ever finish, even if I were younger.... The staff is so friendly and guided us through our first experience. - Burgers were delicious! I got a double, it was definitely a two hand sandwich. You can get their list of classic toppings - grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, Mayo, mustard, ketchup or you can jazz it up any way you like. You could tell that the beef was fresh and freshly pattied by the texture. - Buns were fresh brioche. - I would have liked two tomatoes and more lettuce but all in all the burger was more than I could eat In one sitting. - French fries were fresh, hot and seasoned - not as salty as I would like but were cooked to a perfection- crispy on the outside creamy on the inside. This restaurant that has a Jaws theme I am assuming because you need a big mouth like Jaws to be able to get your teeth into that burger. There is "Jaws" theming everywhere but in a good way. Flat screens were a nice touch especially the one playing the underwater scene, I kind of felt like I was sitting next to an Aquarium - it lent authenticity to the experience. The whole place was immaculately clean and well organized. Restrooms were also immaculately clean. I made a special trip to Jaws Jumbo Burgers but when I arrived at their door they had a sign posted that said "Cash Only"! I rarely ever carry cash so I turned around and drove down the street to " Five Guys" and had a delicious double cheeseburger with whatever condiments I choose skillfully applied to the Cheeseburger along with a large coke and a copious pile of delicious, scalding hot fresh French fries. While waiting I enjoyed the complimentary dried peanuts. Another potential customer approached the door right after me and she also turned around without entering. These days if you do not accept credit cards you are going to lose business. Accepting Credit Cards is a secure and convent method of doing business and it guarantees no one is going to slip you a bogus bill. read more
