The sidewalk next to the front door are $1 used records in boxes. Entered the overstuffed shop with used vinyl, magazines, books and CDs. This record store surely has some well priced hard to find original music in addition to new digital remastered vinyl. Found a few original Kiss, B-52s and Ramones albums. They offer a box of absolutely FREE records with a limit of three per person. The store policy allows customers to test play vinyl on a phonograph before making any purchase - great policy.

One of the things I've noticed recently has been that since the installation of the self service cash registers, there seems to be a belief amongst the staff that they don't have to talk to customers anymore. This morning, I had a similar experience. I went to the Michaels and found the frame that I was looking for. when I approached the register section of the store I could not find an employee. I did find a girl who was standing by the balloons and when I asked her for help, she had to tell the person on her AirPods to please hold on that there was a customer interrupting her. She then pointed me at the self serve, cash registers to let me know that those were there for my convenience. At which point she went back to talking on the telephone with her friend. I am certain that Michaels is not passing along the savings to their customers because the prices are absurd. And yet they can't seem to manage their staff at all.

The ribbon wrapping area is in the rear and still under construction with more products and pricing coming soon. Met with a competent manager who explained the origins and concept of the business. Prices seemed a bit steep for the glass blown ornaments at $24.99, but the red thin glass balls were reasonable at $14.99 - also these were the larger size. Every single person I came in contact with was diligent and smiling. Some of the displays were huge and would require the front living room of a mini mansion. While wandering around looking for items, I was asked if I needed help. The gentleman helped me find everything I needed. The spray was not one I've used before, but I LOVE its honeysuckle smell. The little hairy rabbits were so cute but the reptile area had a distinct smell that instanty gave me a flashback of my pet iguana in 1989.
