In fact some of my clients use Jax when I'm unavailable. Jax is recently under new ownership and has really made some noticeable improvements. I picked up my clients dog from Jax last week and it was a pleasant surprise to walk in and it smelled so clean and good in there. Staff was very kind as well. It doesn't take a lot to see how much the team at Jax cares for our canine besties. They have systems in place for every scenario and are very communicative when anything (whether good or bad) arises. The team members bring their own pups to work so the environment is more of a big family than anything and guests can rest assure their dogs are being treated with the same care and love. At pick-up, a kind friendly face always comes out to give a brief summary of the day your fur child had! What a touch of great customer service especially after covid. I don't see how anyone could give this place a bad review knowing how much Ashley (the manager) and her team care about the pups and it shows! Thank you Jax for giving my little baby the ability to make friends, play, and have an overall amazing experience every day she's there! PS: their outdoor space is great too! It's the length of the building and the pups can just play and run around in a safe fenced in area completely supervised. Would not recommend boarding your dog here. My 5 yr old dog got bit on the face pretty badly while boarding over the weekend and I got a phone call a few days after the incident (at least two, based on piecing together) and was told that my dog had been "scratched" in a "scuffle" so I didn't think anything of it. I took my dog to the vet after picking him up and got confirmation that the bite was old and more serious than I was made aware of over the phone. It required soaking the wound to remove dead skin and revealed a pretty massive (3 inches long, about a half inch wide) wound on one side of his muzzle, with small punctures and a missing tuft of fur on the other side. He'll definitely have a permanent scar. Staff is nice enough but I feel like safety is not being taken as seriously as it should be - I understand that accidents happen, but we left an emergency contact on file for a reason and our contact would have been more than willing to pick our dog up and take him to the vet. We were later told that our dog seemed to "not have a good time" and wasn't interested in eating - probably because he was in pain and had been attacked by another dog? Pretty disappointed in how this was handled. read more

Took our 4 month old pup to his first boarding for 3 nights while we were out of town. When we dropped him off, the front desk had no idea he was boarding and seemed so confused although we scheduled it 2 weeks in advance. Never got phone call updates (didn't know to expect that or not) so we ended up calling on the second day to see how he was doing and they said he's good and that he's not anxious at night(thankfully). The lady on the phone was a lot more knowledgeable than the one at front desk when we dropped him off. When we picked him up, the report card said he got scratched from playing. We see him and there's at least 15 welts over his body. Not the thing you want to see on your puppy the first time you're away. It's the night of and he's acting scared of our neighbors dog barking and is following me everywhere with his tail down. Poor guy!! Never going back. read more

I just had the worst customer service experience with Linnae at this place. I was late to drop off my dogs due to work and a newborn at home. Linnae was trying to scold me for being late and said I had to reschedule. No one mentioned to me that I had to be there within a 15 min window. I don't want someone that is rude and no compassion to watch my dogs. read more

Like the other reviews echo, would highly recommend NOT bringing your dog here. I dropped off my puppy the other day and not only was the "store manager" extremely rude to me, I also heard her yelling at my 7 month old PUPPY as soon as she thought I had left. It's not the first time I had heard staff yelling at dogs either. This place honestly should be shut down after the amount of horror stories in these review comments (and many more I've heard personally). Shame on the owners for keeping it open. 100% would not trust them with my dog. read more

Used to be my #1 place but they have been trending down hill don't bring your dog here. Extremely disappointed in our last two stays. Our first stay started our concerns, my dog and all her stuff has been peed on. No one even mentioned it, this is not my previous experience of the last two years. Which brings me to our most recent visit while we were on our honeymoon/at our wedding. We dropped our dog off with specific directions about her medications (rolling in the cheese like a ball always works- we provided the cheese), how much she eats per meal, she needs to eat alone etc., the man refuses to write anything down and says "he will remember" well guess what? He didn't- I received phone calls everyday twice a day repeating the same information over and over again. So not only did they not write it down once but several times. I'm honestly concerned the man we dropped my dog off to at the desk was on drugs based on his demeanor itself (not very reassuring) We pick my dog up receive no information on how she did and notice that she wasn't given her extremely important medications TWICE!! Then they tried justifying it (well maybe it was the white board, my dog has meds too I know they're important, etc. - all irrelevant) read more

Wreaks of urine. Never took my dog's harness off. Didn't know who my dog was, only charged me for a half day when he was indeed there since opening. Was not happy. Managers only work 8 to 4. They're the only ones that can approve 4 or 8 class purchases. Has a laminated brochure showing that they're permanently sold out of the 4/8 classes but if you "talk to a manager they may be able to make an exception." However, you can always pay for a 12 or 16 class purchase. However! I LOVE Scampers in Bellevue. Great alternative option with comparable prices but with people who knew my dog once we told them. They give report cards daily as well. They hold events for dogs, have a newsletter featuring pups and take videos/pictures of your dogs while playing. And it doesn't smell like urine. read more

I dropped my dog of for her assessment and everything was great. She played, was happy, all positive reports from the staff. I booked her a full day for daycare. I am used to getting updates from my doggy daycare especially their first day, I got nothing. I picked her up and there was no positive remarks, she played with no dogs and had anxiety all day. My dog goes to the dog park, has standing playdates with and without me, never a issue. I get dogs have some anxious behavior in a new place but she is insanely dog friendly and loves people. Why did no one call me to tell me my dog was not doing good??? I would have come get her instead of her continuing to suffer. read more

We've been taking our doggy to Jax for over two years now and we've always had a great experience. Our doggy is not too fond of other dogs and people but every one of the staff that greets her, plays with her during the day, and gets her for me when I pick her up is super attentive to her needing space or needing cuddles. I get the strong sense based on seeing them interact with my dog and others that I've seen that they all take the time to get to know the dogs that come in. Even though there has been turnover of staff in the time we've gone to Jax the new staff that come in continue to love the dogs. I love my doggy like she's my child, and I wouldn't say this if I didn't mean it, but I trust my doggy being at Jax because I know she's in great hands. read more

The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. We had to board our pug for 4 nights. It was extremely difficult for us to leave her that long but we felt Jax Dog Drop was a safe and fun place. The only negative was when we picked her up and got home she still had 5 small ziplock bags of food in her overnight bag when she should have only had 1 extra. Which means she was pretty much starving the whole time she was there getting fed once a day instead of twice. I'm not blaming them, it could've been an honest mistake or maybe I wasn't clear with the feeding instructions. Just a tip though make sure you are SUPER clear with all the instructions for caring for your Dog. Other than the one negative, I would say this is a pretty solid good place to leave your pup. read more

I took my fur baby there for a self wash bath. It was disgusting, dirty, smelled to high heavens. I will not ever go there again. Upon checking in the employee said " I'll have to check if it's been cleaned" then gave me the ok to use...it was awful. I used to take my dog to the Ruff House in Redmond (which is gone now), I was used to a clean smelling and physically clean facility, boy do I miss the Ruff House. We'll have to continue our search for a new self wash location that lives up to the Ruff House standards. read more

Jax Dog Drop is so great! I was a little nervous at first to drop our pup at daycare for the first time; I wasn't sure how well he would do. I called on a weekend for a trial, and although they typically don't do trials on weekends, they were able to accommodate us. Needless to say, our dog LOVED it! So far, so good! I have been dropping off my puppy here since last week - he's been there 4 times now and nothing but positive experiences so far! He leaves there EXTREMELY pooped! He is a 4 month old puppy so it doesn't take too much to tire him out but I'm sure he loves the interaction & socialization he is getting with older dogs. My mind is at ease while I'm work that he is well taken care of and given a little special attention because of his age. They mentioned cameras will be installed sometime in the near future for live feeds so that would be great to watch & know what's going on! We took our puppy here while visiting Seattle over Thanksgiving. We stopped by without an appointment the first time and Jax was able to accept our puppy the same day! We took her back for a second time so we could do some more sightseeing. The place is adorable, the staff is friendly and helpful, and, most important our puppy loved it. Capone and I have been a customer at Jax Dog Drop since November! Capone's love for this place is just undeniable! He knows exactly where we're going when I get him out to the car every Wednesday morning. The staff are all great and they really care for the dogs! Every time I pick him up afterwards in 2 minutes flat he is already laying down in the back seat "resting his eyes". Capone in the back seat with the windows down and he's LAYING!? It's like unheard of! The pictures they post while your pup is in their care is so comforting seeing your furbaby having a good time - there's no greater feeling! Capone is a little over 2 years old and he still has a lot of energy and Jax Dog Drop has become his home away from home. Great indoor/outdoor conditions, great staff, reasonably prices! I don't think your company's bad I think how you treated a former employee to not be the greatest. I came in the other day to do a self wash for my dog and your former employee Georgia assisted me with the process start to finish. She was very professional and handled my dog with such grace and consideration. My dog was noticibally nervous but she was able to calm her down with perfect ease before I took her back to get a bath. I later asked her if she did rover since she seemed so comfortable with dogs that it would be nice to find someone like her she stated she was so I decided to take her on as my dog sitter. Then a few days later she stated that she was let go via text allegedly because she was too nervous and hesitant. I just thought that was so odd since she seems so natural with mine. With that being said I will be taking my business else where where I can receive the same services since that is how you guys treat such a dedicated employee. I think you should be ashamed of yourselves. You lost a customer but I gained a good dogsitter. read more

Our dogs love it here. Our chocolate lab is a very nervous girl around other dogs and they have a process to introduce her to one dog at a time so our girl isn't overwhelmed. Our other dog is a golden retriever puppy and wow is he tired when he leaves. The team is very nice and we will keep coming back:) read more

I have been coming to Jax Dog Drop now for a little over 2 years, and I can absolutely without a doubt say it was one of the best decisions I've made for my pup. This place is great for a litany of reasons - services, staff, store, environment, etc. I have a crazy ass husky and if he can come home wiped at the end of the day then I think most dogs would do more than fine here exercise wise. And not only is he tired, but I know he had a blast (thanks to their pictures posted on facebook). The staff is awesome too, they can give all sorts of medicines, are very accommodating employees. The store is also pretty great as well, plenty of treat, toy and bone options to spoil them some more. Oh the whole place is cleaned a lot, since you know dogs smell like dogs and like to pee on things and what not... Bottom line, I highly recommend this place, it's truly great, and anyone saying otherwise probably has some other issues to deal with... read more

Most of the staff is friendly and seems to get along well with the dogs. The location is small which wouldn't be a problem but the large amount of dogs in that small space seems to promote a lot of problems. I picked my dog up in the afternoon and saw 20+ dogs in the room. My dog left a handful of times with marks and cuts but the staff was good about fixing them up. read more

I don't write many reviews, but feel this business needs some balance with all these positive reviews. We took our dog for the temperament test at the Bellevue location and had some reservations, but thought we should give it a try. I now feel bad doing so. First, the staff doesn't seem to have a clue about anything and don't sell the place well at all. It also appears that most questions can only be answered by the manager. Particularly pricing questions. Apparently they are the only one with the ability to make things happen and are conveniently off too early to talk to. They have a very sophisticated system of writing things down though, so when I was told in the morning that a manager would answer my question and have it ready when I picked my dog up, you can guess if I got that information. They did flip throughly through their "system" though. A notebook with barely legible handwriting. On top of poor customer service, the back smelled completely of urine on our first visit, but I thought maybe that was an off day. We came 4 days later for the full day stay and when they went back to get my dog at pick up I could smell the strong odor still. So I'm guessing it wasn't an off day. I'll admit that I'm not sure if this is typical of dog daycare, but it shouldn't be if it is. So of course our dog came home smelling awful. On top of this they cram what I think is way too many dogs into tiny "play" areas that really don't allow for fun. I could also hear an employee yelling at dogs in the back in a not so friendly way. While waiting in the lobby for my dog I overheard another customer say her dog got kennel cough from there as well. Maybe I'm overprotective of my dog, but I would certainly not recommend this place or trust them with my pet again. read more
