Just an indoor facility with cages. Who wants to go stay at a place like that?? When we moved to Washington, we found Tiger Mountain Kennel and couldn't be happier. The kennels are in Issaquah in a mountain-retreat-like property between the houses of Norm and his daughter/her family. It's picturesque, filled with flowers tree's and lot's of space. Norm takes great care to make sure your dog/cat/whatever is in his schedule book, is walked several times a day and gets the medication they need if that applies. He is always friendly, is great with the animals and is very professional. The prices are affordable and we trust this family completely with our dog. Highly recommend!!

Unfortunately a lot of trainers use aversives, especially with large strong dogs. We were so excited to find Julia, and after our meet & greet we were confident she was a good choice. Julia did a 2 week board & train with our dog while we were traveling, mainly focusing on leash skills and practicing calm behavior around exciting things. We noticed an immediate improvement, but have also been continuing to work on the training at home after our follow up. I'm happy to report that we are continuing to see improvement using Julia's methods.

The space is consistently dirty and unkempt. There is a very noticeable smell, and dog hair accumulates heavily in all the corners and along the edges of the room. Indie requires some extra attention and care due to some injuries and food sensitivities, and when Carolyn and Kim were there- she definitely received all the love and attention! Indie knows Jason very well and enjoys his company, and I believe she is slowly warming up to some of the newer staff (she is a particular pup.) Indie always comes back exhausted from camp, and we always love seeing photos of he on her walks, or playing games, or, her favorite, getting pup cups! The team at Jax, especially the Companion Camp have always been informative and caring and we know that Indie is in good hands here, when there were days her arthritis was acting up, the Jax team was quick to contact us, and let us know how she was doing so we could determine if she should just rest, or if we should come get her. She also wears a brace (for her arthritis) when she is active- so Jax has been very understanding in learning how to put it on her, and when it should be used. We have also given her a bath in their facilities (wish it was open on weekends but understand that requires additional staffing) We are currently taking our 2nd class on K9 Nosework with Austin on the weekends - and she loves it! We have had positive experiences at Jax and truly appreciate all of the folks that look after her when she is in their care.

They only take cats and they are never in a cage, they each have a little room, usually with a window and a little tree or something to climb and scratch. Nancy fell in love with my boy Liam and he allowed her to brush him and seemed very happy by all the pictures I got. You hear of all these sitting services never showing up to feed or play with animals and my family had a tragedy happen when a boarding service kept our dog in a cage instead of the run we ordered, and something horrific happened so I will forever be scared. Nancy understands how much we love our cats and how worried we get for our little bundles of dopamine. I will always recommend Snuggles! The house is clean and well looked after and there is clear plexiglass between the kitty rooms and my cat just stared at the other cats. No fights or hissing. The suites are huge & have custom built in cat trees with other fancy amenities & full yard views of the wooded and pristinely manicured gardens. The inn keeper Amy is at the facility 24/7 monitoring and snuggling the cats. We met the owner who is clearly a feline finattic and has poured her heart into designing the perfect feline experience. She even has special air circulation to help keep the cats calm & content.
