Ally was wonderful with both kitties. She sent us emails each day with a detailed update and incredible photos. After the first update, I knew our kitties would have a great week - with good attention and play each day with Ally. Ally also took care of the house - bringing in mail and lots of packages and watering the plants. Everything was in excellent order. I'm so happy to have found such an excellent pet sitting service for my kitties. Now, I know I can go out of town with the peace of mind that our kitties will receive fantastic care.

We did a site tour ahead of time and got to view the indoor and outdoor facilities. They provide clear instructions for getting to the ranch. I loved the ample space but a part of me was a bit nervous leaving our dog there (reminded me of the movie Homeward Bound lol). Fortunately, the staff were very communicative before and during our dog's stay. They made sure we turned in all of the required health information and sent regular "pupdates" (updates) through email with photos. They were always really friendly and welcoming to us and our pup. When we picked our dog up, they gave us an envelope with a receipt and the papers that they kept very detailed records on. Their staff does a visual check of your pet each day, notes if they had any digestive issues, etc. I would highly recommend checking Roscoe's Ranch out!

Why would you put your dog at a kennel type place if you have or had this option. My dog is practically like family to Cindy now. It's honestly invaluable what she provides. My dog is never in a crate, and gets to hang with Cindy and her family, go out back and check out the chickens and other animals, he's not locked up in a cage for 20 of 24 hours a day. I get the overnight kennel places probably not having the man power to pay one on one attention to those dogs, but it's just that your dog is going from free reign of your own home to being in a kennel for hours at a time. It's a huge adjustment and difference. With Cindy, they're going from your home, to a home. She gives you updates too on how your dog is doing and sometimes even sends off photos too. I recommend Cindy to any & everyone who's in need for a dog sitter.

I was tied up with a work crisis but Murray needed to get to Sacramento. After a frantic search on Yelp, I found Cindy and she dropped everything, on a Saturday afternoon, and drove from Manteca to pick up Murray in Lodi and take her to Sacramento. Cindy even stayed in Sacramento for several hours until I could get there. Cindy made it possible for my beloved Murray to get the best medical care and I am forever grateful. She sent me a video of Murray, which I cherish. Thank you, Cindy, your kindness, generosity of spirit and integrity are treasures; thank you for caring about my Murray as if she were your own.

In the last 12 months, Le Pouf has sent 10 different dog walkers instead of having one consistent walker as in prior years. Here are the top things that have changed in the last year: 1. My dog was attacked by another dog Le Pouf was walking, I received a text saying that my dog was "sneezing blood but everything looked ok". I left several VM, emails, and text messages but Le Pouf didn't respond to my messages to explain what happened. It also cost me $1200 in vet fees because the other dog shattered my Shi Tzu's teeth. 2. I stopped by my home during the day to pick up something and the dog walker was sitting on my couch watching TV with her dirty feet on my leather couch. 3. The last month Le Pouf would often text me late morning saying "my schedule is full and I can't walk your dog today" I struggled to make alternative arrangements when they cancelled 2 hours before the scheduled walk. After the 7th cancellation withing a 2 week period I decided to make alternative arrangements for my dog. Too bad about Le Pouf because I was really fond of the prior owner Alisa, she always went the extra mile to ensure your pet was safe, happy and well-cared for.

We had to leave our 2.5 month puppy for over a week, along with our other pets, so we were picky! This little dog was just beginning to bond with us and we were feeling so guilty about that, fearing he'd forget about us when we returned. Luckily Todd stepped in for full time overnight stays and the pets could stay home with a very kind sitter. We received tons of pictures and updates from Todd during the vacation, as we always have each time we have hired him after that. Todd has taken care of things promptly that have happened during his stays...a dead possum in the backyard, a fallen tree, etc. Barb is extremely prompt and responsive for scheduling and schedule change requests. Love these bonuses here at Pickles! As my friend said, Pickles is the Nordstrom's of doggy daycare! In addition to daycare, I've participated in events hosted here, like dog yoga, which is tons of fun! You can practice yoga with your dog and it's always a fun time. Pickles Playland does a great job of connecting dog parents with one another, which is a great way to get to know others. I recommend looking out for their events that you can participate with your dog! The owner of Pickles Playland is Nicky who is extremely talented and most of all, is truly caring of dogs.
