A very chill place, they have food but I did not indulge on this visit. I did like that a beer and a shot was only $6, they do have a little dtage inside which I assume they host local live entertainment and apparently they do have karaoke nights, DJ nights and have Trivia nights. The food is good for a sports bar and they offer a large variety. They have a decent beer list including IPA's. lagers and stouts. There was trivia going on one of the Tuesdays I stopped in. There are several large screen TV's playing sports. 1/2 wings on Tuesday $0.70/each (must order in multiple of 6's). Flavors choices include mild, medium, hot, cajun and garlic parmesan. These chicken wings were pretty good, nice size and crispy. Blue cheese dipping sauce is $0.50 extra. I rarely review and If I do, I try to make sure it wasn't a one off bad night because I was a bartender and server for the better part of a decade and every small place like this will have off nights. This was not a one off bad night. visited 2 times since moving back to the area. Couple months apart and from other reviews, I now know bad service from one particular woman is the theme here. The food was honestly not bad but probably the worst service you will find. Come to find out from a lady I got to chatting with that the bartender was the owner. She was the bartender on both occasions that I went. Her service was awful. At one point I had to ask the cook, who turned out to be her son to flag her down. To be fair, He was a very polite attentive young man. Unfortunate that the service was so bad from his mom. He made a pretty good burger over all. I think I asked for my check at least 3 times by the time I got it and waited for what feels like forever at every turn to flag this lady down. I don't like having to be loud , stand up and grab servers, or be unpleasant to get service. That's never a good time. I don't know, I'd rather just have good service LOL Honestly should have walked out when the bartender sat down at a table chit chatting while she had yet to greet me and take my order at the bar and had the 2 people next to me with empty drinks for at least 10 minutes if not longer. We really loved the DJ here on a Friday night! I think his name was Dave. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, and the drink specials are great! The food is just so-so. I found our food items (mozzarella sticks, burger and salad) to be generic and not super fresh. I can't pin blame solely on the burger, but my husband had a really bad stomach ache that same night after eating there. I really like the staff and this seems like a place where everyone knows everyone. For the atmosphere and the drink specials I would come back, but I would have dinner somewhere else first. My +1 and I had dinner at Jaxx this past Tuesday evening. I chose it due to the proximity and .60 wing special. Service was flippant from the get-go. We ordered beers and were each given the incorrect ones. We thought it was a fluke with just my +1's. (FYI, he told her about the error..) When my beer arrived several minutes later and in a glass with a different beer logo, I wondered if it was the GLASS that was wrong. Nope: totally wrong beer. Not like our waitress was ever around for us to flag her again, so we dealt with it. She was really into chatting up her regulars and she rarely stopped at our table. We had to ask a different server for the waters we asked for but didn't get. We had been sitting, ready to order for nearly 10 minutes while our server was standing 2 tables away socializing.. In hindsight, we should have just paid for the beers and eaten elsewhere. We ordered the following apps for dinner: _________________________________________________ Wings - Garlic (6) Verdict: 4.5/5 These were totally delicious! Big, crispy, and garlicky. They were pretty oily, though. The blue cheese that we were charged for (..which wasn't mentioned) was watery. I must admit this review was a challenge. They're a STRONG 4.5 in my opinion so I debated hard between a 4 & 5. Let me explain why I just went with a 5. I wasn't sure what to expect walking in. I ended up trying this place off a Groupon for $17 for $30. I've been a little leery about trusting Groupon deals nowadays based on a few bad experiences I previously had but this seemed legit so I decided to try it anyway. Great choice! Walked in and one of the first things that I noticed is that for a bar, this place is extremely clean for a bar. Most bars are usually on the crummy side. But not here. The floor is very neat and clean. All of the tables including the bar area was clean. On to service. Our waitress, Michelle, was very nice and quick. No complaints there. I got the Nolan Ryan Burger. My wife got buffalo wings & mozz sticks. The burger was AMAZING. Nice thick patty, good flavors and array of condiments and the pretzel bun was soft. Additionally, they had REAL, natural cut fries that were thick, not over-fried and well seasoned. The only drawback I see here is that they don't have menus or prices anywhere so if it's ur first time here, you may have a little challenge finding what you want without asking the waitress. But definitely not a deal breaker. This place is great. I came here off a Groupon but I can EASILY see myself returning at full price! Fortunately I live only 5 minutes from here! read more

I give Dino 4 stars. But this review is about JAXX. I went to JAXX for the first time yesterday. .... I totally LOVE how they vamped up the place. They brightened up the environment & made it very inviting! Now let's talk about the service. .... 1 star. The only way to get a drink around there was if I had male anatomy! !!!! One reviewer mentioned about the bartenders (female ) kissing & hugging their friends & reminiscing with them instead of doing their job. That reviewer hit the nail on the head with that one. We were a little alarmed on our last visit by both of our menus being moldy. Tonight Jaxx lost us as customers. Surprisingly they had the beers we had requested- score! Unfortunately mine was two months expired and my hubby's was seven. Again, no complaints, just drank up and enjoyed being out. We enjoyed ourselves significantly less when a clearly very drunk patron began coming onto a group of women without any consequence from the staff. We have seen this plenty at bars. After the fourth time he approached them and was turned down again the bouncer finally stepped it. Whew! Except he was allowed to keep coming back to the women four more times and was served two more beers and a shot when he could barely walk back to his chair. The staff did nothing and the man eventually made his way to our table to be closer to the women. His blatant staring and invasion of our space were noticed but no consequences were given. At that point we decided to leave. I truly hope that the man and the woman he was targeting get home safely tonight but I am very disappointed in how management handled this situation. We can overlook expired beers, unstocked selections, moldy menus, inattentive and Unknowledgeable staff. Jaxx's is right down the block from my house and I purchased a Groupon to try it. I couldn't tell much from the outside; its in a strip mall next to a Peachwave. Inside was dingier than I imagined but it had a large area for bands and there is a decent sized patio. There was only one waitress working, both as a server and behind the bar, so service was slow. The menu isn't huge, but there were signs highlighting that brunch was served. One wall was taken up with video slot machines. We ordered an appetizer before our entrees (the nachos) and it was GIGANTIC. I ordered the steak wrap (also huge) and my husband had a burger. It's not the fanciest place nor has a huge menu, but for those times when you don't want to spend a ton of money, it would be fine. read more

They had a great deal for $50 a person it was open bar from 9-12, live music, appetizer buffet, party favors, champagne toast and a 1am breakfast buffet. We had a great time and since you can order anything from the bar I felt the cost was justified. They had a pretty extensive craft beer list so we were trying some new things. Lots of interesting burger styles and I've yet to find one I don't like. Cole slaw is good. Fries are good. And most surprising, the vegetable option is good also. The first time my friend ordered the veggies as a side I was all, "What the...." because they really looked yummy! Burgers are in the $10-12 range and I think they're worth it. If you're looking to spend less, however, they have a big variety of lunch specials for under $5. All good. The bartender is the server and it shames me to realized I've never asked her name. I can tell they were understaffed on a Friday night. We waited a long time for service. 4. Not sure and I could be wrong, but our waitress, who was super nice and good, went out to smoke. There was a very long period of time between us finishing our food and getting a check. I don't want to be harsh especially since she was friendly and good despite the understaffing part. 5. Bar was clean. Not a trashy bar, but a very blue collared bar. You can tell it's a regulars bar. One thing though, we can tell once we came in there was a stench that smells like cleaning solution mixed with alcohol. We got use to it and didn't sense it. I use to smell this when I worked at a nightclub back in college. Place was still clean and not trashy. Will I be coming back to this place? Probably not. The "wow" factor was definitely the burgers. While she was pouring our drinks Jill come up and also introduces herself and asks if she can get us anything and do we want a menu. We get our drinks and order food. Nachos to start. Well my wife likes lots of meat nachos. So we order extra meat. Well we get nachos and no extra meat. So Andrew come up asking if everything ok. We say well theres no extra meat.
