Between COVID and having an unreasonable stash of daily contacts, I put off my eye exam for longer than I should have. I really need new glasses, though, and had some urgency around spending HSA money that was rolled over during the pandemic. Scheduling was easy peasy - I made my appointment on the website and received a confirmation quickly, which included instructions on completing new patient paperwork online in advance. I received a text reminder of my appointment the day before. I was greeted right away, given a few additional forms to fill out, and then taken in back for initial testing. I waited in the lobby for a few minutes before my exam with Dr. Udesky. It was a brief wait and, honestly, the highlight of my day because I got to see how sweetly Dr. Udesky and his team interacted with the patient before me - a little girl who appeared to be four or five years old. She wanted her "eye pictures" to take home and they printed copies for her before sending her off with a fist bump. My exam was great and Dr. Udesky was friendly and warm. I asked a few questions about my current daily contacts, whether contacts or glasses would be better while staring at computer monitors all day, etc. He also gave me some helpful insight into my eye health relative to a medical condition and understanding long term care. I'd been on the fence about ordering glasses or going with an Internet retailer but, genuinely, Dr. Udesky offers competitive pricing (at least in this scenario where I was also committed to ordering contacts). Maria helped me choose frames and I'm excited for them to come in, particularly after years of being unhappy with my glasses from another retailer that bent and were misshapen almost immediately. She was knowledgeable, took my feedback into consideration, and selected the winning pair. I suppose I should mention that I don't have glasses or contacts in hand so this could change, but given how positive my experience was, I'm currently a happy customer and glad to support a local Northbrook doctor and his team. (For the record, I was also sent off with a fist bump and an elbow bump so that doesn't appear to be exclusively for the kids.) :)

I (or my parents) have chosen most based on cost, and have had mediocre at best results. When the time came for an upgrade I decided I would search for value, not cost. I visited a few highly rated establishments, and decided on 730 North. I was glad I did, because it was the best experience I have ever had with my vision. Really nice people that take their time to get it right and listen to my concerns. My first experience was great but something was off with one of the lenses. They ordered a replacement and honestly after that I had the best vision I ever remember having. I just recently upgraded again and my experience was once again terrific. Not the cheapest, but in my opinion the best value.

I'm the only pt in the waiting room but I figure maybe the dr is running late. I go up and ask what the status is for the appointment and Mellisa says it may be 2 to 3 hours." I said did you say 2-3 hours? And she said yeah ... then the other desk admin employee said yeah it's not unusual to wait for appointments for 2-3 hours sir. I said both of you have to be kidding. I said I want to talk to an office manager and they said she wasn't there and I said I will just stand here until someone comes and explains to me why I will be waiting 2-3 hours for an appointment I Made months ago. After another 20 minutes my dr comes out and she looks irritated doesn't greet me and says "come back with me" I said no I want to talk about this out here. I said why do you have staff telling people it will be a 2-3 hour wait for a scheduled appointment and she said I can't come in here and snap my fingers I said what is the reasonable time to wait for an appointment? 15, 20, 30 minutes? fine, but not 2-3 hours that tells me you double or triple booked me in and now I have to spend half a day to be seen that's not ok. She said I was told when I booked the appointment it could take that long to be seen and I asked where in the documents I signed does it say that and I would not have made the appointment if that had been said upfront. I said I do not have a personal problem with anyone there but that their policy of doing this to someone is not ok and they either need to actually tell me people up front or see people in a reasonable time. I did not keep the appointment.

She's so kind and always willing to hear me out and help fix an issue while I have one. The administrative staff here is also very nice. I can honestly say I've never had an issue booking an appointment. The office is clean, spacious and I get seen within a reasonable of time as well. Everyone wears masks and you don't feel like your health is jeopardy when you walk in here. I will continue to come here for all my eye care needs. I would definitely highly recommend this place for anyone who wants good, optimal eye health. I dare say that it is a bit expensive but you get what you pay for here so I believe the services you receive are well worth the money.

You start in one room for initial screening. After that you move to a second room, sit in a comfortable chair that rolls so smoothly you wonder if it's actually in touch with the ground or floating via mag lev. Finally you go to a third and final room where she finishes the exam, shares test results, and orders any lenses you need. I received one or two tests no other optometrist has given me, including a peripheral vision test. It was a great experience, very professional.

I was on my way to WI from Indianapolis when my husband called to tell me I left my overnight bag at home. By that point, I was almost to Chicago (over 3 hours from home) and I had to be somewhere at a certain time for a paid weekend opportunity taking photos of murals in their town. My vision is terrible. And my contacts are supposed to be changed daily. I didn't even have my glasses. I left on a Friday and wouldn't be back until Sunday and usually after more than a day or wear, the contacts start to break down. I absolutely cannot see without them or my glasses and I was traveling alone. I happened by this spot while getting gas and popped in to see if by some chance they might have samples in my prescription and they did!!! They seriously saved me so much anxiety over the weekend and now I have several pairs to get me through if I need them. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Their prices are so high that even if you have insurance coverage you'd still pay as if you don't have insurance. And if you don't have insurance, forget about it. I will give you a specific example. Their frame with Prada brand model PR A 13V is priced at over 600 usd, while online with exact same model and brand it's only 200 usd +. Same with their lens. The cost outside with insurance is same cost with them with insurance. If you ever decide to buy from them look it up first online like from glassesusa.com or other online sites.
