They advertise omelets Friday - Sunday so I got up early drove 40 min to get bacon and an omelet for them to tell me they were not doing omelets today. Most of the bar food is good except for the eggs as with all buffets it's hard to keep them fresh so I just left. Why advertise omelets if you're not going to have them. read more

Ate breakfast there yesterday (8-20-25) on a whim. Throughly surprised with the quality breakfast. Ham was delicious...had a touch of a sweet taste! Biscuits and gravy were wonderful. Eggs cooked perfectly. Really good Southern Sweet Tea. Hash brown casserole could have used another few minutes in oven as onions were crunchy but great taste! Service was top notch. The owner needs to spend more time in his restaurant. The food is mediocre most of the recipes are northern made. The owner cares about what he wants and not the customer. It is extremely hot in there to where you almost dont even want to eat. He offers a buffet but wants to run it like a sit down restaurant. Things could be way better. By far the most disappointing place we have gone to since moving to Tennessee. Came here Sunday around noon thinking maybe get a late breakfast but they already changed to lunch. Only 2 other tables were being used. This is a buffet type. We went to get our food and almost every tray was empty. All the food was cold and from deduction guessing they heated yesterday's food and just put it out. There was not enough people to go through the trays. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place! The food and the service was top notch! I live right down the road, but have never tried it out until this Saturday. My husband and I bought several different groupons for Jay Bobs and wanted a sandwich for lunch on Saturday. We walked in and had the nicest server Michael. He kindly told us the groupon we bought for the sandwich was only valid Monday-Friday and he tried so hard to make it work out for us. We were offered several different options but it was more than we wanted at the time. Untimely, since we just wanted a sandwich we left but the way it was handled so wonderful that we were not mad at all and decided we really wanted to try out it again. The same Saturday night, we returned to use the groupon we bought for Friday or Saturday night dinner. Turns out we had Michaels mother and she was also absolutely fabulous. Her recommendations were spot on! WE loved the Catfish and my husband said it was the best meatloaf ever. The sweet tea was perfect and we can't wait to come back. The place is currently hot inside until they get the AC back up and running after the storm. They are working on it and doing there best but it's hot inside currently. Had tickets for the supper buffet but we're unaware that they did not have supper anymore, just breakfast and lunch. NEVER going back. Attitudes are extremely rude. Selection is very limited. Buffet is not kept up. Ran empty on multiple items and were never refilled while there. Ran out of coffee. Nothing from scratch, all packaged for reheat. Pop tarts and individual boxes of cereal, over ripened fruit and canned berries. Better selection and service out of a country side gas station. 1st time and last time to go here. read more

You figured live band & buffet can't go wrong..WRONG no band ,few scraps of food on the buffet, The wives of our group took a look at the buffet and said we're not going to pay good money for subpar food.So we left not asking much, but if you're going to advertise to have a full buffet and you have subpar food and lack lustre service, then you need to find another business and believe me.We know what business is since we've been in the business for over fifty years. I wish I could give it 0 stars!!! We went there May 24th 2024 right as they opened at 5pm. We asked the server if the restaurant had homemade country food and she said their macaroni and cheese was the best here, it's made with different cheeses and big shell noodles that captures the cheese in it and they had very good reviews on their green bean casserole. The rolls and cornbread were hard as rocks. If you were to throw these it would seriously hurt someone! When they brought the Mac and cheese I could tell even from a distance that it was old as hell! The cheese had already turned hard on top and the noodles were completely crusted. My corn was left over from last year. It had already turned brown and was barely warm. I was scared of my meatloaf, I thought it would get up and try to eat me!!! My mom ordered a chicken breast which she got one good hunk of meat off of and the rest was just crisp. Her " sweet glazed" carrots were wrinkled old carrots and her turnip greens looked and tasted like wet vinaigrette grass. BEWARE of this restaurant honoring Groupon deals they have sold. I bought two Friday or Saturday night dinners for two people. When I used the first one, they said they no longer offered the number of items we were suppose to get with meal, so they substituted a smaller, lesser value meal. When I tried to use the second offer, I found they no longer offered dinner. My husband and I ate dinner tonight at Jay Bob's and we left happy and fulfilled, not just by the food but also the service. The staff were kind and welcoming and the food was authentic and flavorful. The best southern food we've had in a while, and we're from Georgia! We did a group of 40 people for lunch here and I can't say enough good things about this place. They were very accommodating for all our needs, the price was very fair, and the food was absolutely awesome! Very friendly staff and so easy to deal with. Went for breakfast - first hint of what was to come should have been the empty parking lot - breakfast was horrible - would have been better off eating at the convenience store at a gas station - bacon was the only edible thing - door into restroom had a couple of years of built up grime on it- when I complained on the way out the cook - who overheard my complaints said "hallelujah" as we walked out. Let's Try Jay Bob's. Had the meat & 2 for lunch, Hickory Bbq Meatloaf(very tasty), tater logs, sweet corn. Also had the rolls & cornbread, Sweet Tea. Overall, a very tasty & great lunch spot. We ate there yesterday for Sunday Lunch for the first time & we won't be back. Arrived around 11:30 AM. There were 2 other tables that had guests dining. We ordered the family style dining. We ordered fried chicken as one of the meats. She said it would be a few minutes. We said ok. Within 5 minutes she brought out small pieces for the 4 of us to enjoy. It was very good. She said she would be back soon with more. When we left close to 1:00 PM the chicken still wasn't ready. What a disappointment. We also ordered chicken & dumplings which were the worst I had ever tasted. It was like they were reheated & over done, very dry. The catfish was over cooked as well. The Cole slaw was not fit to eat. The waitress did apologize but did nothing else. The mashed potatoes & Baked Beans were good. She only came back once to see if we needed anything else. Dessert was the best! The whole meal was very over priced for what we received. I don't see this restaurant lasting very long. read more
