This is a great "greasy spoon" eatery. The breakfast is fantastic and the people are just as fantastic. If you are looking for the white glove uppity-up environment, this is the place for you...and that's one reason it's fantastic. I had a western omelet which was fantastic. My wife and I stopped in and was greeted by their friendly staff. Very quaint dining area. I had the sausage and cheese omlette with a side of biscuits and gravy. Just as I suspected the food was delicious. 2 meals , 2 coffees for under 20 dollars. What a deal , I would advise you to go and try their breakfast, they do offer lunch too. I don't know how this place stays in business. You have to go through the kitchen to get to the bathroom. Bathrooms were gross and seeing them wash the dishes by hand as I left the kitchen area was telling. Very quick process. If I had gone to the bathroom prior to ordering I would have walked out. We had eggs, bacon, hashbrowns along with biscuit & gravy. Over easy eggs were properly cooked (many places do a poor job of it). Very much a local diner - the 5 star rating reflects the type of place it is. There was a continuous stream of folks coming and going while I visited for a quick lunch on a Saturday. Seating is cosy, about enough room for 11 tables/booths. Food is cheap and cheerful, the usual breakfast and lunchtime fare (I've added a picture of the menu in the photos) so good for those on a budget. read more

Staff was friendly. Place is definitely busy and had a steady stream of people coming in and out. Very tight seating. Sweet tea was on point. Score 1 for Tennessee as this was one thing I was looking for in moving up here from Florida. Several of us ordered the biscuits and gravy, the second thing we were looking forward to in Tennessee, great B&G. Sadly this missed the mark by quite a bit. The biscuits didn't seem home made and over hearing the waitress tell a table that something from the chicken and dumplings was frozen from Walmart didn't help either with that notion. The gravy was grainy and seemed like it came out of a bag. Ordered a ham and cheese omelet which was good through the majority but one side was quite obviously under cooked. Also had a pancake at the table which was nothing special and was kicked up with anything special like vanilla or anything. Don't know that we'd come back in all honesty unfortunately. read more
