This was my first time coming here. We ordered the cheese sticks for the appetizer, and let me tell you, those were probably the best cheese sticks I've ever had. Can't remember the last time I had some with cheese that actually stretches and tastes fresh. My entrees were the sausage omelette with hash browns, and the French toast with eegs and bacon. The toast, bacon, and hash browns were spot on. As for the eggs and omelette, felt like they could've used more seasoning to make them more enjoyable. Service was excellent as well Our waiter check on us for refills at an appropriate pace and created great when we came in and before we left. I have been in food service; and Granny's Brier Patch is the most poorly managed establishment in Upper Middle Tennessee. I came as a dasher for Door dash; and waited an hour for my customer's order. When I politely asked the gentleman in charge; he cut me off as I was speaking and told me he was not willing to discuss my hour long wait. Five minutes prior to this, I witnessed the same person (I am pretty sure he is the owner of this--ahem--fine establishment) yelling at a customer that he did not want them to return. This customer had not raised their voice; but instead had politely inquired as to an issue with their service. The restaurant owner would not hear her side of the story. In closing, were anyone to ask me what I think of Granny's Brier Patch; I would tell them that if they enjoy long waits and short tempered staff, this is the place for them. Thanx for reading. Frequent customer of this establishment. Monday evening, yesterday, my wife and I did meat and three. The only item that we ordered that arrived hot were the green beans. The butter would not melt on my baked sweet potato. Chicken and dressing was basically room temperature. The servers and the atmosphere are ok at this establishment. But when my food arrives at room temperature, there's no excuse for that. The cornbread looked like a pancake. Not familiar with that style of cornbread. read more

Passing thru area and found this place on Yelp. Nicely decorated, clean, good music. More importantly the food was delicious! They have a meat and three, specials of the day, and sandwiches. I had the chicken tenders with baked potato, apples, and cucumber salad. The chicken was crisp and moist, the potato had actually been baked, not nuked. My husband ate a tenderloin that was also excellent. He loved my cucumber salad. Portions are huge and well priced. Our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly, and very attentive. Wow.... Let me tell anyone reading this... this food blows anywhere out of the water... for me. Literally if you went to granny's house for dinner you're getting exactly that! The freshest home made food I've had other than being at home myself. Places like this don't exist much anymore so when you find a great meat n 3 place yall gotta do your job to keep this place open! We stop here every time we go thru Nashville tn. Awesome food , drink and Hugh servings. Prices great. Major Hugh baked potato with artichoke dip and bacon. We wrote a accurate review which was horrendously bad from the nasty owner who could have cared less that we were pushed out of the facility (as they decided to close 20 minutes early?!?) cleaned with pungent floor cleaner 10 minutes after we received our food?! We asked them to please stop cleaning our area but it was too late and we had been there literally for 40 minutes total time (or less actually) then as we were served our food and asked basically to get out.... Horrible experience never will we go back and when I call the next day to express the very disappointing situation the owner said: That's what happens we clean the place and we decided to close early?! (even though the kid was next to our table)!?? And if you don't want to come back that's fine! Have a Blessed day?!?!? WTH?!? In my industry if a Manager or (OWNER NEVER WOULD DO) said that to one of our guests he would be led out the door so fast his head would swim.... gone forever never to be seen again....PERIOD! We've been wanting to try this place out for awhile now. Just got hungry for meat and three on a recent Friday afternoon. We passed the restaurant on our way to a barbecue place in Springfield and decided to turn around. Usually we gauge how good a place is by how busy they appear to be. Food not good. I think the locals like it because maybe they have just gotten used to it?? Coffee looked like tea. Very weak. Food is just gross. Bad management! Service was terrible!! Even though this place is small, maybe 20 tables and I counted SIX servers! Menus took too long, food took too ling. Food was cold when we got it, we were an eight top and six of us had something missing in our meals. One of us got his meal literally 15 minutes after the others had gotten theirs. We did ask for a manager (who missed a terrific opportunity) He came to the table and asked "Do we have a problem?" All the servers had the same company T-short on but he had some comic book looking cartoon T-shirt on, very unprofessional. In the end he sort of got us what we ordered and I truly believe he felt he "made things right" but that's not really the point is it? Aren't you trying to understand what went wrong so that it doesn't happen again and ensure your guest feels like their concerns were heard? The place was packed but Lord knows why! Stopped in for a quick lunch. I got a loaded baked potato with pulled pork and fried okra. It was delicious and very satisfying for a down home lunch. My sister had the nachos with pulled pork and baked beans. We will definitely be coming back and the staff was very attentive and friendly. A clean family oriented country environment. read more

Food is ok. Service is so slow it's annoying. It's seat yourself the staff seen me come in and sit down, and it still took 5 minutes for a menu! The past 2 times Iv been here (breakfast and dinner) my glass had food floating in it. Breakfast was good dinner was ok took forever to get my chicken strips and fries, the chicken was over cooked. Floor is a mess (need to sweep). Staff aren't very attentive. I will not return to this restaurant. read more

In my 67 years on the planet I have experienced really great food and service and now thanks to Granny's Briar Patch in Greenbriar, TN I have had the most despicable, horrific dining experience of my life. A couple of weeks before this incident my fiance and I went there because we had received good food and service before. But that visit we received pan scrapings of meatloaf and cold sides. We just wrote that off as something not normal there. On Sunday May 30th, 5 of us went there to enjoy a meal the morning after our wedding. 3 tables of folks who came in after us placed their orders before I raised my voice to get someone over to take ours. I have never seen a restaurant foul up EVERYONE'S meal before. They served us cold, not fully cooked food across the board after a ridiculous wait. Long story short, they served us half raw bacon, raw white eggs, cold entrees, cold sides and raw hamburger. When we complained the little fool who showed up as the "manager" had no clue how to handle customers. Having owed and operated 2 separate restaurants of our own over the years we were shocked by his attitude. I was livid by the time we checked out and they were so kind to give us a 25% discount for 100% screwed up food and service. None of our family (about 30 of us) will ever grace the door of this excuse for a family restaurant again. We will spread the word far and wide every chance I get.to help others avoid such a disaster. Stay far, far away. read more

We were very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere inside was cozy, family friendly and it felt very clean. My husband appreciated that there were plenty of televisions showing a few different basketball games. The service was good, and the food was great. The food took a while to come out, but luckily we weren't in a hurry so we didn't mind. We had fried pickles and burgers and they were all delicious. Glad to have this place close by.
