When we asked the waitress why we couldn't just eat, she was very dismissive, rude and did not explain why this is their rule, she simply stated "its a cafe liquor license". My husband and I have been here over a dozen times and have only been carded half of the time, and we've ordered alcohol everytime. Riddle me that. There has never been any expectation to be 21 to just walk in. All of a sudden we can't let a 20 year old just get lunch with a water? I'm sure they got themselves into an underage drinking disaster but that shouldn't affect everyone else. I understand the rules are written on the website, but we've never had an issue previously so why would I think to check if I needed to bring guardianship paperwork with me?
