Just awful. And I have photos to show it. To be fair, the first time I used them I would give…read morethem 3 stars. For that, I had them put in a mixing valve and plumb in a shower wand for a tub. That job looked good except that the plumber had the fixtures way too far out (I asked for an inch to account for cement board and tile thickness. Was probably out almost 2 inches). I had to cut into the back of the wall to adjust the depth. But that plumber did okay as far as the piping was concerned (except I'm not a big fan of pro press couplings). The second time I needed my bathroom sink fixtures moved over about a foot and a mixing valve and shower wand put into a shower (everything was opened up). If I could give zero stars for this work, I would. The shower plumbing was a mess. Cut a hole in a 2x4 so big that the support was no longer any good (fortunately not a load bearing wall). Then the two pipes that went through he crossed over one another. (Would have been better to drill two smaller holes and fit pipe accordingly). Despite me indicating where I wanted the shower wand fixture, he put it up higher than the actual shower head!! I ended up having to move the shower wand myself (I used a shark-bite coupling for the first time rather than soldering it.) The bathroom sink work was even worse. Instead of extending the pipe the foot and using a single, 90degree coupling, he used five press-fit couplings and created a staircase like exit. Huh? Even worse, he put the valve connections about 1/2" from the studs. I asked him how was this going to work when I put sheetrock up...the outlets were in the same plane as the sheetrock! So he had to extend them out a bit (and I paid for that extra time to correct his mistake). I can do plumbing but wanted to be legal in Massachusetts by hiring a licensed plumber. I can also do better (I can solder but these guys all use pro-press fittings). I sincerely think that whoever they sent out was not a plumber. He must just be a warm body working under a licensed plumber's credentials. But the licensee did not inspect the work. The only good thing is that they charge by the hour (not cheap but still...). I estimated the work at about 3-4 hours and that's how long they took. Other plumbers I called just quoted the "work" and were about twice the money (around $2500). For 3-4 hours of work?? Makes me think about doing my own plumbing in the future.

Called Domination Plumbing and Heating as recommended by a local landscaping company to install a…read morebackflow preventer. Pros: They were responsive and got me an appointment the next day. Technicians were very polite and provided good recommendations. Cons: After taking a look at what needed to be done to install the backflow preventer, the technicians informed me that the job would be approximately $1,500, which was the price that my landscaper told to me to expect. Later in the day, I get a call from Domination, informing me that the estimate came in at $2,300. Since Domination's pricing was not competitive with other contractors, I decided not to proceed with their services. At this time, I was informed that there was a $129 estimate fee, which was the first time I was informed of this, at least to my recollection. I felt like I never consented to this so I asked if this could be waived. Later, I receive a call from the owner, where he explained his rationale as to why the estimate was $2,300, citing labor costs, materials, permits, and complaining about travel cost for his technicians. This was a strange and unprofessional conversation, using language such as "We want to do a good job, we are not here to f#ck around". Technicians were also extremely late for my 8:00am-9:00am appointment, arriving at approximately 10:30am. They also held me up for about an hour or so while they waiting for their admins to finalize a quote. For me, If your travel costs are so high, don't service Chestnut Hill residents and up charge them. Use professional language and effectively communicate to your customers. I have children that needed to get to daycare and this experience disrupted our day and work schedule

Had another person come out to look at it and even them stated he shouldn't have tried to bang that out nd should've went for an easier route so now I am left a a leaking pipe nd more stress nd frustration on my behalf. They are unable to cover their mistake because of the contract I signed ..Make sure if using them, you use you request one w experience and not a rookie!! It's clear they messed up, no apology what so ever just a quote to fix it on top of the 6500 I just paid! Disappointing!

They got me in right away (when I called back the 2nd time to book, they came the same day!). Two nice guys showed up, were here for about 30 minutes, and cleaned the vent. I asked them to take pictures since the work was done in the attic, and I didn't go up there (see attached pics). We had not had them cleaned in about 4 years, and they needed it! On their way out, they quoted me to clean our HVAC vents, which I had not even thought of doing. I will definitely use them again.

We hired NEDS to fix water damage after a fridge leak. They did the work in half the time they said they would, and they did half the job. They actually created a mold problem in my house and I had to pay another company to come in and do the job right. The impact their negligence has had on our lives is substantial. Mold has to be physically removed, not just sprayed with bleach/MMR nor fogged. FYI I tried contacting the owner to right the situation instead of writing this review, but he didn't want to accept responsibility/do the right thing. Do not hire NEDS for any water damage, they are negligent.

My home had overgrown, unkempt bushes in the front that were no longer viable to keep and with 2012…read morewinding down and winter coming, I wanted to get rid of it all and start clean in spring. The overgrowth was to the point, even trying to get rid of them myself would have been more time-consuming and aggravating than I cared to deal with. On the advice of a friend who used DelleChiaie Landscaping (DCL), I sent an email via the web site about my bushes. Rob replied and offered to come to my home to assess the property. Rob is very personable in person and wasn't they type where he would launch into a sales pitch or go on about how wonderful his company is. We got to the point, my bushes, and came up with a plan, including price. It was just over $250 to remove the shrubs and other useless vegetation I had and that needed to go. There were about four large bushes and a couple of other plants to take out. I thought that was a very fair deal considering I thought it would be higher than that. The price also included hauling away the debris. A few weeks later, a crew from DCL showed up and started in on the bushes. Two men (I forget their names) jumped right in with chainsaws and started the removal process. Within 15-20 minutes, the bushes were down to the stumps. There was piles of upon piles of brush and shrubbery everywhere, but in neat piles. I was floored as to how more "open" my front looked, and appalled at the mold, mildew, and dirt that had accumulated over the years. I had to go to work, but the guys assured me everything would be taken care of as there was more brush and debris than they planned on dealing with, so a few mounds of brush had to stay on the lawn. I was fine with that. Eleven hours later I come home and even in the black of night, I could see there was nothing left of the bushes. The piles were gone and my front was opened up nicely. In the morning, it was exciting to see the shrubs and vegetation gone lending to a fresh start with landscaping and cleaning the siding. I was so pleased with DCL that I contacted Rob about a basic "Fall Cleanup" since my backyard is rather large and it would take all autumn to get at least half of the leaves raked myself. I was quoted a price of $200. The crew descended on my lawn in November (bushes were done in September) and in about 40 minutes had the yard cleaned up nicely; not a leaf to be found front yard or backyard. Relieved I didn't have to spend weeks doing it all myself, I couldn't have been happier to spend $200 which again, is a very reasonable price for what I had done. DCL is an established (over 25 years and counting) easy company to work with and offer services everyone else offers, but at a much more reasonable price. I had shopped around and the "Fall Cleanup" alone I had quotes from $180 all the way up to $800 (Yes, 8-0-0). DCL is also a local company which I rather use than some conglomerate or even an lesser-known company. If you need basic landscaping needs like brush removal or spring/fall cleanups, give DelleChiaie Landscaping a try.
