They are by far the worst when it comes to returning calls or answering questions about your policy. Once you're signed up, it becomes a real headache to get anyone to communicate with you. My homeowners policy became effective in October 2024. Despite repeatedly calling and emailing to have my policy declaration and proof of coverage forwarded to my mortgage company, I didn't get any real assistance until February 25th -- nearly three months later. It wasn't until I finally got someone on the line that the matter was handled. Additionally, I called about my auto policy increasing by $100 a month. The manager, Oscar, was extremely nonchalant about my concern and told me, "Don't shoot the messenger -- it's because of tariffs." He claimed he reviewed my policy and said there was nothing he could do. He showed no empathy at all. I'm currently shopping for a new agency. I typically stay loyal to a provider for years unless I find a significantly cheaper rate, but due to this experience, I cannot recommend the Cole Agency to anyone.

We paid our full homeowner insurance cost at closing only to be given an extra thousand dollar bill…read morea month or so later because the paperwork wasn't up to their standards to get a promised discount. We learned after the fact that we had to get contractors to dig through their records 5 years ago to get the discount even though all the improvements to our home were permitted with the records freely available with city. They should have made sure the paperwork was good prior to taking our money. We certainly would have gone elsewhere and feel cheated. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and I would urge you to avoid this agency. We just want the issue to be done and to pay the price that was actually negotiated for and to receive one year of insurance for the money we've paid.

The adjuster who initially inspected my roof and property was easy to talk with and helpful. Members of the entire hail claim team were always courteous, pleasant to deal with and responded appropriately to my inquiries. They adjusted my payments (paid more) upon presentation of documents and information my roofer and I provided by E-mail. Did I get everything my roofer thought I was entitled to? No! However, I am satisfied with my overall experience with SF and their claims handling. I definitely recommend Todd Shipp and State Farm.
