Once the process started, he called me down from my house and told me I would need to pay for another bottle of coolant just to test whether his work was complete. That was odd because we had already supplied him with a full bottle. We refused, but he still went to the store. While he was at the register, he called us and told us the total, as if we hadn't already declined to send him to the store. After he claimed he was finished, he knocked on my door and told me he had locked his keys in his car and had left his equipment in MY CAR. He then asked if he could wait inside my house while his wife drove 30 minutes to bring him another set of keys. At that point, my house was not in the right condition for someone to be waiting inside, so this was extremely uncomfortable and honestly a huge inconvenience. Once his wife finally arrived, he came back and said that he felt he wasn't paid enough for the job he had done. At that point, I was already extremely uncomfortable and frustrated with the entire situation. Then, to make matters worse, I started finding loose bolts in the corner of my car that were supposed to be on the water pump. When I asked him about the bolts, he said he had purchased new ones because he didn't have enough of the correct bolts to finish the job. However, after he went to the store--which we never agreed to send him to--he came back claiming that he had the correct amount of bolts all along. What really pissed me off was that he left my car jacked up IN HOUSTON, OF ALL PLACES, with the engine exposed. AND NOW, LESS THAN TWO MONTHS LATER, THE WATER PUMP IS STILL LEAKING COOLANT. The exact issue we paid to have repaired has not been resolved. With all the confusion throughout this entire process, I honestly don't understand how we could be accused of shorting him when the original agreement was completely different. It's WAY too hot in Texas for people to be spending their hard-earned money and still not have the problem resolved. I paid for a service, and I expect the work to be completed correctly and my vehicle to be left in the condition it was supposed to be in. It hasn't even been a full two months since he last worked on my car, and we are STILL dealing with a leaking water pump.

I Had Terrible Experience By Mayco Auto repair. I was…read moreReferred by a Friend to here, But that was my worst experience in mechanic shops I ever Had. That's unbelievable. I took my Truck there with Running engine for repair. I asked them estimate, they wanted me to wait for 1 Hour. After that they gave me estimate of $4500 for some repairs on the Truck. It looked expensive to me and I wanted to Try another mechanic to make sure I'm not being over charged. Guess what? They car was not Running any more. They opened many parts from engine. I asked the mechanic to put it back on, He was very Rude and said: NO, YOU NEED TO PAY AT LEAST 4-5 Hours Labor to me, (4x$120), Minimum $500 to put them back on. They never had my permission to take off parts from engine for Diagnostic. I asked Manager to Talk and the Manager was even Worst and Rude. He was forcing to charge me. They never put parts back and I Had to get Tow truck to take out my car because I was sure their plan is to just charge you, No matter what. I called Tow truck to come and take it to another mechanic. Finally they charge me $100 for Diagnosing fee and my car was Not running any more. I payed a lot to tow the car to different mechanics and No one touched the car because some else took parts out and cut the bolts off. A few weeks later any other mechanics recommended me to take it to the original shop who took the engine apart and ask the to put parts back and make engine running like it was originally for Diagnosing and repair. I went back to the shop and talked to the Manager Which still was so Rude. Asked Him to fix the Car With His original Estimate around $4500. Guess what? This time he said $6500 for same repair. What normal person or Owner Does that? That was unbelievable. I asked them to do at least for $5500 for same original estimate of $4500. Same work just because I left and had to come back. They knew it and it was part of their plan. The manager said No. You have to pay $6500, Nothing less. I asked him to put the parts back like originally and pay him the labor he wanted. He Said No. I told the Owner I will leave reviews and let other people know about it. He said Do it, I Don't Care about reviews. I had to leave because I was sure even if I pay them the $6500 they never fix it and then want $10,000. The whole car Doesn't worth more that $6000. I don't know any of the people there anymore. Something has gone on behind the scenes and I don't know what it is but i'm not part of it. I've left Christian Brothers and went to Kevin's because of a similar incident and yet comparing prices for the recent work even Christian Brothers was 800 and some odd dollars less than Kevin's. I talked with the technician over phone, and he told me it'll about $800 to replace my timing belt and water pump kit on my Honda. To save money, I told him that I bought all of my parts he then told me that he couldn't do it. I would've saved myself 400 and something dollars. I spent only $178 for my complete kit on my car including the cylinders and he was trying to charge me 360+ in parts, and whatever the tax may be bringing the total to $800!!
