I literally just talk to someone at this mechanic shop. The prices I was told was highly inflated compared to others. All I needed a a timing belt replacement and water pump. I talked with the technician over phone, and he told me it'll about $800 to replace my timing belt and water pump kit on my Honda. To save money, I told him that I bought all of my parts he then told me that he couldn't do it. I would've saved myself 400 and something dollars. I spent only $178 for my complete kit on my car including the cylinders and he was trying to charge me 360+ in parts, and whatever the tax may be bringing the total to $800!! I do not recommend this business at all, run like hell! read more

You have to guy this ship a try. I have been bringing my vehicles here for years ( about 15 years). It used to be under different management but it couldn't have been handed over to a better person. I have taken cars to Inwood Car Care for servicing for almost 30 years. During his tenure as the owner, Danny always took care of his customers, and that feeling was shared with his staff. After getting costly estimates for work at dealerships, I have taken cars to Inwood for second opinions and was either told that work was not yet needed or given a lower estimate. Inwood is now under new management. Recently, Danny sold the business to Tomas, one of the staff members that has worked for Inwood for years. My trust for this garage has not changed. Charged me $90 for the diagnostics but I already told them what the issue was, and then tried to charge me $180 for the brake line. That's $280 that I would have paid. Went somewhere else that only charged me $100 for the labor AND parts, and didn't try the diagnostics BS. Don't get me wrong, they're very nice. The owner even showed me a video of what was wrong with the brake line. I'm just upset that the woman that I spoke to did NOT communicate that they would charge nearly $100 just to look at the car even though I already knew that nothing was wrong with the engine and no diagnostics needed to be run. read more

As a young woman going to get your car checked out could be scary and intimidating. But going to Inwood car care was a completely different experience for me. Thomas and his wife made me feel super comfortable, explained every detail and gave me many different options and routes i can take with my car troubles before moving forward. The whole staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They got my car issues resolved within one day and even stayed late for me to be able to pickup my car, Thomas and his team are genuine and do great work! Edited on 2/20/2017: I'm still a completely satisfied customer. Inwood Car Care is the best! I've been an Inwood Car Care customer for 12+ years. They are trustworthy, knowledgable and friendly. I highly recommend this shop. Danny's shop does not make unnecessary repairs. Several times, I brought my car to the shop believing there was a problem with a major/expensive part only to be told that it was something minor. Other mechanics may have taken advantage of me by doing the work I expected but Danny is always honest about what does and does not need to be done. His staff are all long-term employees. I've seen the same faces as long as I've been using the shop so they know all of my car's quirks as well as past work that has been done. read more

I needed to get my car inspection done and called Firestone down the street. They told me it'd be an hour and a half wait. With a 6 month old, I wasn't too sure she'd sit patiently that long, so I called Danny, and he took me in right away and had me out of the door in 10 minutes - IF that. Danny at Inwood Care Care is honest. That's about as much as you can say in recommendation for an automotive shop. They just do not do repairs that you do not need or do not ask for. I have to say that I am blown away by the terrific service and integrity I received from Danny and his team. I was recommended to the shop from a friend who has done business there for 25 years. (It's hard to find a shop you trust). I had taken my Volvo to a national chain to have the AC looked at and was told I needed a new compressor and other AC parts and that it was going to total over $2500 for the job. That's when I started asking for another opinion and found Inwood Car Care. I told all this to Danny and was prepared to leave my car there and pay him close to $1500 had it needed it. I even told him what the other quote was first. To make a long story shorter, he worked on my car, got the AC blowing ice cold again and it turns out I did not need any parts replaced, just needed to have it worked on by a real professional. $86 later, I'm back on the road and am certain I have found a new home for my car care!
