I paid this mechanic over $1,300 to fix my truck and within 5 minutes of leaving I was broken down again on the side of the road. The next day he asked me to prepay $375 for a part, which I sent. He told me he would arrive at 11 AM, then kept saying he would be there "in another hour" until he eventually stopped answering my calls and messages completely. I requested a refund and received no response. He also suggested that I delete my DPF system, which is illegal and not a real fix for the problem. Overall this experience felt very dishonest and unprofessional. I lost over $1,600 total and my truck was never fixed. I would not recommend this mechanic to anyone. read more

Where do I even begin? Jay was a godsend! I was making my way back home and somewhere along the line my tire pressure started to drop. I was lucky enough to be near an exit with a nearby gas station. At first I thought it was a nail in the tire and that I would just put air. That failed and I went in to buy fix a flat. I was just about to put it in my tire when Jay appeared and asked if it needed help. I was a bit hesitant, but being that it was 1 o'clock in the morning, I figured I could use the help. He took a look at my tire and felt around to find the issue and discovered it had a huge hole in it. Fix a flat was definitely not going to fix that! He told me he would help me as soon as he finished helping someone else that he was there for. He came back and quickly and efficiently changed my tire for me. I would truly recommend Jay's service to anyone who is in need! Thank you Jay for being so amazing and helping a mom three kids that was stranded on the road . Absolute not recommended. My power steering pump broke and took the serpentine belt with it. Truck didn't run. Live on a mountain and getting it towed would have been difficult. This business seemed good, but absolutely stole $500 from me. He came to the house and diagnosed what he said were the problems. It was a little over $200 for the diagnosis and then he sent an invoice for parts and labor to actually fix it. Good so far. I paid the $200 and another $500 (totaling $700 which was half of the total project) which is what he invoiced. Twice he said he was coming over to finish it and never came. Not even a text or call saying he was late or cancelling. Just nothing. I had to reach out to him EVERY single time. Finally after more than a month of hearing nothing from him I told him I wanted my money back. Still nothing. After weeks and weeks again he calls back and says he was in the hospital. I felt bad, and I understand that emergencies happen, but not a single message from anyone. Then he says he processed my refund. This was back in August. Here we are in January and I still have no refund. He has ignored every call and text ever since then. This kid is a crook and I want my money back! read more

I paid them to repair a car for someone and asked to remain anonymous as a good gesture. They gave me an estimate for work that would repair the car and make it safe to drive. on the list was head gaskets that were never installed by them. The lady was driving the car and it quit because of the blown head gaskets. I texted them asking for communication about it but they never responded. They told the lady that owned the car that the owner was in the hospital with pneumonia. They never responded, never installed the gasket but accepted payment. They were dishonest about this transaction. read more

I really had high hopes as he pulled over to help when my car broke down on NYE, but I unfortunately made a mistake trusting him with my vehicle. He was very confident that he knew how to fix it.. after a month and a half and $2500+ later, my car still isn't running. Every week we were adding on a new part that he guaranteed would fix it and paying more money. He told us that he had "shops" that he would work on vehicles at, but my car was parked all over the tri-cities. He left it at a sketchy hotel for over a week, and then left it at an Ingles, and I'm not sure where else because I couldn't get him to tell me. I couldn't get a response from him for 2 weeks and had to threaten to report the car as stolen get him to respond. When I got it back, he was convinced that I needed a new fuel pump that would cost $450. I got a second opinion, and it turns out that he failed to notice the hole in cylinder 2 of my engine. Blue Ridge Motorworks was able to tell me that after one day in their shop and he had my car for a month and a half. He told me my car wasn't fixed but it was "drivable", and it definitely was not. There was black smoke coming out and it was barely getting power the whole way from Kingsport to JC. I also paid him to fix my headlight as it had gone out and immediately noticed when picking it up that it was still not lighting up. He then stuck his hand in there, had to move things around to get it to come on, and explained how he considered that to be "fixed"... the bulb was the off again by the time the car got home. His labor cost was definitely cheaper than most, but the communication and quality of work is extremely poor.... you get what you pay for, I guess. :( read more
