Right when we walked in, I went to the bar. I asked the bartender if they had Modelo. He said no, so I asked what beers they did have. In my experience, bartenders usually recommend a couple of popular options. Instead, he just pointed to the beer list behind him. I wasn't wearing my glasses or contacts, so I nervously laughed and said " oh sorry i can't read that " His response caught me completely off guard, "Want me to read it for you? Ask your man standing right next to you to do it," while pointing at my boyfriend. The attitude and comment felt unnecessary and rude. I was simply asking for a recommendation, and I've never had a bartender speak to me that way. It was in such an odd tone. The interaction instantly made me feel uncomfortable. We stayed just long enough to finish our beers and listen to the band for a few minutes before leaving. Honestly, I didn't even want to spend money there after that interaction, but I felt awkward enough that I just wanted to leave without causing a scene. After reading other reviews, it seems we're not the only people who've had a negative experience with the bartender.
