I like coming to this place to listen jazz , first when you walk in this place is modern and clean have a small restaurant on the size , sound system is great!

Nice, small, cozy venue for music. We came to see Joss Stone and most of the seats facing her are great. I wouldn't want the upper tier seats on the side nor the seats behind her. Who wants to watch her back and the musicians and backup singers' behind the entire night? Acoustics are great too. Hope to be back to catch other shows in the future.

Really nice tile work depicting jazz clubs in the lobby of the balcony level.

Beautiful venue with state of the art sound system and lighting. Great seats wherever you sit. Wonderful concerts and artists and amazing staff. They have a cafe on the ground floor. Elevator for anytime who needs it and very clean and nice bathrooms and premises. Truly a delight to be here for any occasion. I encourage you to become a member to support SF Jazz. We did!

I just attended my first event at SF Jazz to see Chris Botti perform, and it was an incredible experience. The venue is small and intimate, with a beautiful setup that allows you to clearly see the performers no matter where you sit. The seating design is excellent--elevated tiers ensure great views, beyond the floor seating with chairs. Before the event, you can enjoy wine, cocktails, and sodas upstairs and small bites in the lobby area, and you're allowed to bring your drinks in plastic cups into the performance. The atmosphere was fantastic, and transportation was easy--getting an Uber or Lyft to and from the venue was seamless. Parking can be challenging in that area at night. We had such a great time and will definitely return for another performance soon!

Went here for the first time last night for the Smartbomb Oakland X SFJAZZ event and I gotta say, it was amazing! Very beautiful venue. I like that it has 2 floors that intersect with the main room with stairs that lead to both. A small room for performances as well on the first floor and a little cafe/restaurant connecting to the venue by the first floor entrance. The acoustics in the venue were great, and the staff was super helpful and polite. I didn't get to snag any food but I did pay about $5 for a pick me up drip coffee from the cafe lol. Parking is a little tough in the area since it's mostly street parking, but I was able to find a row of metered parking spots on Oak street in front of the Conservatory of Music, which is only about a block and a half walk away. Overall, a really great first experience checking this venue out and listening to some music performed by some of my friends!

Attended a performance of Kid Koala's "The Storyville Mosquito" in the Miner Auditorium last week, and it was exhilarating. One of the coolest and most amazing experiences I've ever had. An adorable story brought to life and presented to the audience in such a unique way, I could barely hold my excitement. In fact, the heartwarming production filled me with so many emotions, it's hard to describe. The making of the film was interesting and impressive, seeing the creation behind the scenes in real time, and witnessing and hearing such extraordinary musical talent by Kid Koala as well as the trio of musicians on stage. The sound in the auditorium clear and dynamic, great quality just like every other part of the show. The theater and event space intimate, providing a great view from almost any seat in the house. And all of the staff we interacted with at the venue during our visit were professional and helpful. Cocktails being sold in the lobby from B-Side (the restaurant and bar which is actually connected to the SFJAZZ lobby, also serving food and drinks next door). The drink lines were a bit long, but moved comfortably, so it wasn't that bad of a wait. The French 75 was delightful and strong in alcohol, and the seats in the auditorium had drink holders for convenience. After the show, we were thrilled to be able to view some of the puppets and mini sets up close, as well as meet Kid Koala in the lobby. Of the many great acts and performances put on at SFJAZZ, this a good one!

I think this is the 1st music venue I've been to in San Francisco that's modern and built after the 2000s. I had middle balcony seats to see Hiromi's Sonicwonder. The venue is a small music venue but this makes it a lot better in terms of acoustics. The sound wasn't overly loud and distorted and I could clearly hear each instrument being played.

What a secret gem. I walked past this place all the time and never realized how cool it is. I saw a wonderful comedy show and the bartender was very knowledgeable regarding my wine desires.

We came here for the Tech Roast Show and it was great. Easy to get to, safe walk as far as the area goes, small venue and good sound. Really enjoyed our time. They even have multiple bars and it helps make the line go faster.

Free jam session, what's not to love? Great energy, fantastic music, wonderful venue. And they even offered a free beverage!

My dreams came true when I got to see Hiromi Uehara tickle the piano keys at SFJAZZ! After the show someone said Hiromi exhibits the peak of human performance and it gave me chills because it's so true. SFJAZZ is a place where musician masters play and I recommend checking this place whether you're a jazz lover or just looking to experience one of the best forms of art ever.

I'm not a jazz fan, but i sure do love it that a lot of music other than jazz comes to Miner Auditorium.

I'm not sure what the prices were usually but it's definitely worth it on halloween. The inside is cute - it's basically a music recording studio that doubles as a bar. the people inside are nice and respectful and there are live performances too!! We rang in the new year here on Tuesday night, and had a wonderful time. The New Year's Eve event included a Frank & Dean Show, Open Jam, and access to more music in each of the individual rooms, along with the opportunity to explore the music studios and alluring decor throughout the venue. The Frank & Dean Show was cool, with the vocalists performing tunes like Fly Me To The Moon and That's Amore, but I don't think it lived up to the capabilities of this venue, musically. It was like watching karaoke on the big stage (they already had a karaoke room downstairs, which could do the same), but it was fine, they had us smiling and vibing to the great crooner musical acts during our first hour there. The music city underground offerings had actual live music more to our liking, the various bands in each room performing a range of tunes including folk, rock, blues, and reggae. The Open Jam was even funner, creating awesome music with sounds of the saxophone, bass, keyboard, vocals, and more. I especially enjoyed getting to watch and hear my bf play the guitar, drums, and melodica (musicians can bring their own instruments, or use the house instruments). The environment was simply welcoming and laid back, with lots of talented artists simply having a good time. The service and food/drink offerings were not the best and are the biggest reason I'm not giving 5 stars. They seemed a bit disorganized in the beginning, and guests who had tickets were confused about how to find their reserved seats (not just my party, but other attendees too) and it took a while for anyone to help us. The 7:00pm show didn't start till 7:20pm, and the second show started late as well. For dinner, we had the chicken caesar wrap and fish n chips, and though they were both delicious and good sized portions, they weren't our first choices. They were out of the steak frite and salads, and possibly more. How could you be out of multiple menu items on a special event day, before the event even starts?!? They already have a limited menu to begin with, so this was definitely a turnoff. Nonetheless, can't deny, Music City SF is still a pretty amazing music venue with a lot of potential. And we certainly had a memorable experience.

It was a great little start to my solo date night in the city. Arrived a bit early for my 7:30pm reservation and the place was super cute and intimate. I asked to make their virgin mai tai not so virgin and it was creamy and delicious. For food, I was shocked at how much I enjoyed the brisket. It was paired perfectly with mashed potatoes and green beans that were crispy and great. Music was great as well! I wish it was a little more lively in there, but its Wednesday in a big city, so ill have to come back on a weekend.
