Beach access, snorkle and dive site. 4 star. * location: Bohol island, 2-3 hours from airport. Very isolated resort... If you want to escape from modern world and tourist... This is the place! 3 star. * motif: island style, chic boutique hotel. Very quaint! 4 star. * service: very friendly staff. The Owner, Fred, loves to mingle with guess! 5 star. We did not stay at this place but came for lunch and hung out at the pool area. Fred, the owner came by our table and invited us to use the facility. We got a tour of the resort and rooms. The restaurant is fusion between Italian, Filipino and other pacific cuisines like Vietnamese. We ordered Quadro Quezo pizza with thin Crust and 4 types of cheese, fresh Ubay. Carabao. Cheese, mozzarella, pecorino and danish bleu for 650 peso or $12 USD. The pizza is good but a bit thick. Vietnamese cha ca (550 peso or $10 usd) which is derived from Vietnamese northern dish except fish paste sausage on skewer and grilled, served with rice noodles and fish sauce. It is actually pretty good and different! My friends ordered grilled fish served with yellow rice and steak. They were happy with the dish. We had bread pudding as compliment from the owner which was delicious and definitely the highlight of our meal. The resort has 15 bungalows for couple and family. All rooms have ocean view. The place is very secluded... If you want to escape the reality and/or seek privacy, it is the place. It is far away from any market, major tourist activities in Bobol and airport... So, you probably want to plan your trip accordingly! That is probably why I did not give 5 star due to location and price!

Bohol Beach Club was the third resort I stayed at during my Philippines trip, and this spot is completely gorgeous. From the white sand on the beach to the crystal blue water and the tall palm trees, this is true paradise. I really enjoyed staying here. Being so close to the picturesque beach was wonderful. It truly felt like a vacation with the fresh air and ocean breeze. The resort room was spacious and comfortable, and I loved how it was conveniently located near the beach and the resort's restaurant. The resort's restaurant was great as well! They offer an awesome complimentary breakfast buffet featuring rotating Filipino favorites like pancit, longanisa and adobo. For lunch and dinner, there is sit down service with a menu that had various Filipino dishes, along with other Asian and Western entrees. I absolutely loved that they featured native cuisine and drinks. One of the waiters even offered me a complimentary native hot chocolate and I also got to try an ube tart made of Bohol's famous kinampay. On the weekends, the resort's restaurant host acoustic sessions right in front of the beach. Enjoying live singing while having a delicious dinner was such a lovely touch. Last but not least, customer service here was excellent. One day, it started raining and one of the resort employees noticed us without an umbrella and trying to take cover under a building. He personally ran over and gave us an umbrella to borrow. I truly appreciated his kindness. If I ever find myself in Bohol again, I would definitely choose Bohol Beach Club to stay at. From a beautiful beach front to delicious food and exceptional customer service, this place truly is beachside bliss.

I wish I had a WHOLE day (or two!) to explore this entire resort!…read more No, for real, next time I come through Bacolod, I am hiding out here for at least a couple of days! Last tourist spot to hit, we only had a few hours to spare. Hubbers, cuzzos and I opted for the hot springs, and the rest of our party went for massages. And the hot springs was enough. An hour before, we were in the bustles of the city. An hour later, it seems we're on a whole different planet. We were surrounded with nothing but the greeneries of the forest and the sounds of its residents and the nearby stream. It's a different kind of paradise. I haven't felt this relaxed in awhile! This whole resort has a lot to explore. Accommodations come in different forms: hotel, regular cottages, family cottages, etc. There's a walking path to waterfalls. Plenty of pools and a lagoon. Like I mentioned there's a massage center. Two days may not even be enough! But what a way to end our tour of Bacolod! So glad we have fam here to show us around! Definitely looking forward to coming back!

My cousin (Megan), best friend (Jani) and I were smart enough to do the trekking first. Our aunt had told us that we had to see the falls. So off we went to see the falls. The guide told us that it would take us one hour to get to the falls. I thought that climbing up would be easy. It wasn't. I also thought that the first falls we saw was the legit one. It wasn't. There are six small falls you pass before you get to the one you can swim in. After an hour of dragging ourselves up to the falls, the only thing we could say was, "Worth it!" This resort has other things to do as well. There's a spa. You know, after trekking, you can relax here. There's a food court if you're too lazy to bring your own food. They have many swimming pools. Some are hot. Others are cold (unless a kid starts peeing in the pool). There's a lagoon for boating. They also have a slide for life which is pretty cool. They also have a canopy walk in which you walk through the resort a number of feet from the ground. I suggest that you bring a car when you go to this resort. It's big! And for those who aren't really into trekking or outdoor activities, your body will hurt and it's hard to walk around from one activity to the next. Take a car. Also, reserve early. There are huts for the day and there are rooms for night. Plan which activities you want to go to and which you can forgo. But if I were you, I'd make it a point to go up to see the falls.

However, they do give amzing service to the most parts where needed. The lobby is a bustling line of patrons patiently awaiting to check in, a good 30 to 60 minutes on a busy day and perhaps longer on busier season and special holidays. They don't leave you unattended while waiting, a fresh juice and pastry is served while standing in line After checking in you can explore the massive hotel inside and out. There's a lot to see and check out. The rooms are great and modern, I mean I could get a phenomenal room at Cesar's Palace in Vegas for a cheaper price but the hospitality and service here is superb (i think that's what you're paying half the price of your stay!) There's an array of food to choose from. Asian cuisine, western cooking, a few Mediterranean dishes and of course the staple dishes of Cebu. The menu changes from breakfast to lunch and dinner. You will enjoy tasting dishes you have not tried before and the meal comes with your package. There's a list of restaurants and stores in the area to explore. You don't have to leave the resort at all. Anything you could possibly need during your stay is provided for. Sauna, massage, fitness and nature are at the tips of your fingers. Relax and enjoy your stay! A few photos to share with the best traveler uncle Arthur!

Hotel has a gate (w/guard) but you can easily walk out and find local laundry services (other than what is offered at the hotel). There's also a small shopping center that is walking distance with a few restaurants and shops. Staff and service were fantastic as everyone is super friendly and they almost seem to go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and are enjoying your stay. The infinity pool is fantastic (for kids and adults)..... nice to also have the beach option but this part of the island is more remote... as the other reviews state, you can find better beaches at other resorts, but here it is more quiet and family oriented. Breakfast Buffet was superb with a rotation of offerings for vegetarians and omnivores alike. Special request items (eggs cooked to order, etc.) are just an ask away.

The best way to book it is via a 3rd party website, such as Trip Advisor, Expedia, etc. or give them a call. We had the best time out of everywhere we've been to so far in the Philippines at this hotel. The location is in remote and tropical Anda beach, far away from all the tourists and rip-off tourist trap places of Alona Beach. We were left alone by the taxi cabs and tricycle drivers asking if we needed a ride every 2 seconds (true story with Alona Beach side of Bohol) and instead greeted by smiles and "Hellos" from locals. The real Filipino hospitality can be found in Anda but I think Alona side has lost it, sadly. The beach front right outside of the property is well maintained, with the J&R staff diligently sweeping up all the seaweed in the morning to make the white beach shine. The water is crystal clear with an abundance of sea life including turtles, dolphins, so many different fish and bright corals. There's all kinds of other wildlife thriving in Anda, such as beautiful colorful birds, giant geckos and hermit crabs. This is the Philippines you see on National Geographic! It truly is a splendid place. The owners, Jilo and Ralph are so very welcoming, and they and their staff go out of their way to make sure you have a great time and enjoy your stay. We took a snorkeling trip with Ralph and he brought 2 staff to snorkel alongside us and point out the turtles hiding below and make sure we were safe in the water. We had our own personal spotter! Compared to the Balicasag island trip we took from Alona beach, this trip was way better without the 1,000's of Chinese tourists trashing the reef and harassing the fish. We had the entire boat and reef to ourselves. We also took a sunset boat trip to look for dolphins and enjoy the gorgeous colors of sunset. We got the boat to ourselves, a bottle of champagne and shrimp cocktail and the awesome service of the staff who joined us. It was a highlight! The food in the kitchen tastes fresh and well prepared. There's a long list of choices from European sausages and meat dishes to Chinese and Filipino food. I really love Filipino food but sadly many other hotels don't offer it, but this place has some choices. They even have a bunch of German beers and all kinds of cocktails. I can not recommend this place enough. Stay here- you will LOVE the location, staff, food, nature and ambience!!
