I love taking cross-over classes in distant places and telling them (when they ask) that I'm from Carlsbad - they are star-struck that I must take Judi's class. Actually I never have since I go to La Costa, but I enjoy pretending to be a spy. The only problem is that I feel pressure to execute all the moves perfectly and the anxiety makes me lose my breath, so I get a pretty strenuous workout if I don't pass out. I do prepare critiques though no one's asked me to appear in the ads despite looking way younger than I am ; ) much less be a mystery shopper.
The facility is located in a relatively run-down shopping center for the west end, but it's fully stocked with all the equipment. A wipe board with the instructors for the week is useful, but I'm not accustomed to seeing a clock which only increased my feeling of suffering. That's why Piper and Toni are my favorite instructors - they cue perfectly and make the time go by quickly. The two instructors I experienced here cued well enough, but they could have talked about the muscles the moves targeted.
