I used to use the gym as punishment to my body for looking the way I did. Now my mindset has completely shifted thanks to Marisa. I'm excited to go the gym because I GET to, because I have the CHOICE to. It's no longer a punishment, it is a badge of the hard things I can accomplish and the privilege I have to move my body. This outlook has truly changed my life, I choose this mindset every day in all aspects, and pass it along to whoever will listen. I did a ton of research before deciding on HHbM and it was the best decision hands down. I was quite happy with another gym I belonged to, however a change in my lifestyle and responsibilities changed and it was no longer a good fit for me. Since joining HHbM I've become stronger, remained extremely consistent, gained confidence, lost weight and have made friends that are part of the community she's created. Additionally, my life is constantly changing and I find myself away from my home frequently and I love I can join her virtual sessions and it feels like I'm amongst my workout buddies and at the gym. Amanda, Joyce, Michelle, Adam, Jo and Flip, among many others offer sound guidance. Listening to your body and moving at your own pace is consistently encouraged. Unexpected change of instructor at the last minute, so I canceled class. Received penalty notification as expected and did not have any issues. I decided to notify them, as I believe communication is important and also respectful when you're a no show. Instead, I got a series of emails from the owner that wasn't pleasant, but more combative and defensive. She also made sure to indicate boldly in her communication that she is the "OWNER" when I didn't ask and was trying to close the toxic display of her communication towards me. Quite sad frankly to learn of an owner who practices against its mission statement. Be wary.

Not only are the workouts challenging and dynamic, I find myself experiencing an exponential boost in confidence and competence regarding mobility, breath, and functional strength. Prior to Barre3, I was unable to successfully use my postural muscles effectively, due to long term injury. After 6 months of Barre3 workouts, my chiropractor recently shared that my posture is improving greatly! What truly sets Barre3 Kirkland apart from other fitness studios is the strong sense of community that exists within the space. BARRE 3 @ KIRKLAND…read more First timer here using Class Pass! I really recommend it if you haven't heard of the concept, where you can try multiple studios for the same price! I saw this location super close to Downtown Kirkland and had to try it out! Parking was available for street, there are free two hour options or you can park at the Library. I decided to take Signature 45 with Bo, had no idea what I was getting myself into, I was just excited to get into the class. Bo was FANTASTIC, amazing instructor and so funny! He pulled out the funniest jokes and I really loved his attitude, he also would go to certain people and help their structure and position more better, I really enjoyed this just to help you learn better. The owner was kind as well. The place itself was a bit small, it was just one class, one studio at a time, bathroom is only one and there is not a shower there. Not too sure if I missed it. Overall, great class and they gave me a small "welcome" gift which was some energy mixer and about their membership.
