There are a lot of traits they have that you take for granted until you work with someone who doesn't have them: accountability, expertise, and honesty to name a few. They not only helped find a tenant, but Matt even went over to scrub the grout in my tiles to make sure it showed well. I lost my mailbox key and Matt helped coordinate a locksmith for my tenant. When my HVAC and fridge went out on my tenant (I lived in California), Matt provided his trusted contacts so I knew I would get those things resolved the quickly and reliably. During the sale of my condo, we were getting the run around from the buyer's bank which led to some closing delays. Matt and Melissa didn't settle for status quo and really pushed on the bank to prevent any further closing delays. I'm a numbers guy, so I always think to myself, what's the payout like for their time? Well I'm here to tell you that for realtors and rentals, it's not all that high. It's a volume game, and the truth of the matter is that realtors stand to make a lot more from clients that are buying/selling rather than leasing. Even with that in mind, Clay's responsiveness was top notch throughout the whole time, and with the crazy Austin market in mind we needed a realtor that was going to be if we were hoping to win out during the application process. Our particular situation was one where Clay was out of the office in a different country and STILL coordinated with his office to see a property the same day it was listed and get the paperwork completed the next morning. He showed us a dozen or so houses, even taking time to do so on the weekends, or whenever was convenient for us. There were a few times that we had limited time to see a house before they would stop taking offers, so Tim would even drive out to meet us on short notice. We were working with Tim at the start of the pandemic, so he even thought to bring masks and gloves for us during the open houses before that became standard practice. Kaillie was great too-- she kept us on track for all the paperwork and deadlines. I loved that she kept reminding us when it became urgent that we sign something, remit payment, secure insurance, do a rekey, etc. Beyond helping us find a home, Tim and Kaillie also made arrangements for us to close on the house remotely (we were in Florida when we closed on a house in Austin) by sending someone out to us to get the contract notarized.
