There's so many good things to say. I'm not sure where to start! Jelena was the sweetest, kindest, and most helpful with ALL the things! When I say ALL, I mean everything! Jelena was hired to provide our flowers and her day-of planning services for our wedding, but she was so much more. She listened to my frustrations and fears and provided guidance by letting me pick her brain from day 1, not just the month leading up to the wedding. Jelena kept great communication throughout the entire time! Her attention to detail is impeccable!! The decorations were absolutely beautiful, and the extra touches of rose petals and the candles in front of our table were absolutely gorgeous! We also had succulents included in our floral arrangements, and Jelena took the time after the wedding not only to gather several for me to plant at home, but even helped by taking all the floral tape off, packaged them with care, and provided tips on how to plant them. And, one of my most favorite parts was... during cocktail hour, my husband ended up with makeup from a guest on his tuxedo. We booked Jelena for both flowers and for her partial planning services and were so, so happy with both. While planning the event, she was happy to put us in touch with potential vendors, all while making sure we were ticking things off the to-do list at the right schedule. The rehearsal, ceremony, and reception all went off without a hitch, and Jelena was always on hand, always on the lookout for anything that might go wrong, and made sure that everyone knew where they were supposed to be and when. The week after the wedding, the event coordinator at our church asked us to send her Jelena's contact info because she was floored by her eagle-eyed attention to detail and competence, and wanted to be able to recommend her for other couples. The "master timeline" she put together for the day of was my particular favorite service she provided. It broke the day down into five minute blocks explaining exactly where people needed to be and when, from us arriving at the church at 8am to get ready all the way to the grand exit and cleanup at midnight. For flowers, she worked with us to make sure she knew exactly what flowers, colors, and styles we wanted and where. I met Jelena at the annual Wedding Expo last January and we hired her for day of services. My husband and I changed dates a few times and she was able to set expectations and accommodate an ever changing wedding date target. Throughout the process she stayed on top of us to keep us on path, calling and emailing to check in regarding our progress. For example, she loaned us votive candles and baking sheets for our decorating and menu plan. Once we got to talking to her, I loved that she seemed genuinely interested in our wedding and started to help us with venue suggestions even though we hadn't committed to her services yet. She was also so informative on how a day of coordinator would be beneficial to us. We entered our information in a contest for a discount off of her day of coordinating services. We ended up winning and she actually emailed us later with more information on the exact venues we had talked about at the bridal show! My husband wanted to save as much money as we could, so he was still skeptical at this time as to whether or not we even really needed a day of coordinator. But after our wedding he agrees that Jelena was a godsend and easily the best money we spent on our wedding! Her day of coordinating services are more like the month of coordinating services where she takes all of your planning and selected vendors and communicates what she expects from them and creates a custom timeline and layout for your wedding day. She is so knowledgeable about the wedding industry and has so much experience that I trusted her every opinion and she was always right!!! Plus she has tons of connections and is able to get discounts with her preferred vendors. She was always quick to respond to our questions and was great at coming up with solutions. She was always finding ways to save us money which was a huge help and who says no to saving money!? At our Catholic ceremony at St. James, we had some Filipino cultural elements that we included. We also were assigned a separate coordinator for the cathedral. Somehow one of Ethan's friends put the cord, unity veil, and coins for our ceremony in the wrong vehicle the night before after the rehearsal dinner and it ended up going to our reception venue instead of the cathedral. It was 15 minutes before the ceremony started and our cathedral coordinator informed me that it was missing and I was panicking. My husband called Jelena and sure enough she found the cultural elements we needed at our reception venue and sped like the wind and somehow got to the cathedral with items in hand before the ceremony even started!!!! I can't thank her enough for that! Everyone at our wedding loved Jelena and her professional tool belt. Somehow, some buttons came off of one of the groomsmen's rental shirts and she had a sewing kit in her tool belt that she used to sew the buttons back on! At our wedding reception, she coordinated everything from beginning to end, communicated everything to us, checked in on us, bringing us more food and drinks and making sure we had enough to eat. Sadly, one of the things we forgot at home were the garters. When she asked us if we were ready for the garter toss, my husband and I looked at each other and immediately knew that the garters were sitting on our entry way table at home. But of course, Jelena had something to save the day!!! She had some ivory ribbon that she tied around my thigh and we made do with it and everything went off without a hitch! We also hired Jelena for her floral services because her there's no denying that her arrangements are absolutely beautiful! And she definitely knows what she's doing! I gave her the impossible task of finding mini pineapples for my bouquet, my bridesmaids' bouquets, and the groomsmen's boutonnieres! Best money I've ever spent. Planning a wedding is a ton of work. So many vendors to coordinate. So many details to manage. So many things that can go wrong. Well after listening to many many brides talk about how getting a day-of coordinator was the best thing they ever did I finally broke down and realized I should listen. When I thought about how I wanted my day to FEEL the first word that came to mind was not STRESSED. I asked for recommendations and a TON of folks recommended Jelena including many of the vendors I was already working with. So all of those other brides were right. I 1,000% would recommend JBK events. We hired her for our day of coordinator, but the amazing thing was she did SO MUCH more. She met with us multiple times and called regularly to check in. She also did all of our set up of decorations so we didn't have to worry about that, as well as helped in cleaning up. I've told friends that are getting married that the one thing you should invest in is a good wedding planner. I'm certain the year of planning would have been way more stressful without her knowledge and guidance about how to organize a wedding. I didn't know anything about flowers, except that I wanted the wildflower look. She is also a florist so ended up doing my bridesmaids' bouquets, groomsmens' boutonnieres, flower for my hair and my bouquet. They looked incredible. I had my first experience with getting the chance to work with Jelena & I was truly wowed by the job that she had done with the client that we both had been working with. As a wedding DJ, I work very hard with my clients in truly understanding there overall needs. Depending on when the client hires me, I can play many rolls in helping create the foundation to the planning process. When I had been hired by Tanner & Maddi and started understanding there wedding day, I made the recommendation that they hire a wedding planner. Maddi had a friend that was going to feel that roll. I never had the chance to meet this person other than the groom, Tanner sending me an emails on what a disaster that had turned into and they needed to move forward with someone else. I had given them a name of the only planner that I used as a preferred vendor. Maddi had gone to a wedding show where she had met Jelena and hired her service. Jelena was such a wonderful wedding planner! My husband and I didn't even know where to start, and she gave us a checklist and timeline from the beginning. She also did our flowers and made our vision for a "woods" themed wedding come to life! I don't know a lot about specific plant types, names, etc. and she had tons of suggestions and knowledge about what to use and how to make our venue look unique. Jelena's experience is obvious from the get-go. She's open to any ideas and questions, but also has great recommendations if you aren't sure about something. The moment we met Jelena, I urged my daughter to hire her, and I am so glad she did. Jelena was organized and efficient. Her work was absolutely beautiful. However, there is even more wonderful things to say about her. My husband and I had saved money for a nice wedding, but our pocketbooks were not deep. Jelena was so willing to work within our budget. She never once made either my daugher or me feel as though we were not equal to her most ritz cliente. She re-purposed wedding decoration into beautiful centerpieces. All the guest commented on how lovely everything looked. We, too, hired Jelena as a "day of coordinator" and found her much more. My only regret is that we did not hire her as a wedding coordinator. It would have been SO much less worry just to have her handle everything. If you are looking for a wedding coordinator in the Seattle area you should definitely make sure to talk to Jelena. Hiring Jelena to create the flower arrangements for our wedding was such a fantastic decision. I had very rough ideas about what I wanted, but Jelena was able to hear those ideas and create something tangible from them which really speaks to her talent. She understood the overall vision for the wedding and was able to put together arrangements that really spoke to that vision. Firstly, communicating with Jelena was very easy. She was always prompt, always informative, and always happy to make changes and answer questions. She took a lot of care to understand exactly what we were looking for. Secondly, and I cannot recommend this enough: let her have creative freedom. I gave Jelena a color scheme and a shape for my bridal bouquet, but that was basically it. She knows SO MUCH about flowers and their season, what price they'll be, how long they last, whether they'll pop in photos, what textures and colors work together etc. etc. that letting her pull from her knowledge and taking advantage of that really set our flowers apart. Thirdly, she stayed in our budget and was very clear about pricing for each piece. We didn't have a huge flower budget, but she made sure to stay within it and never pushed to increase it. Fourthly, her knowledge and experience as a wedding planner and coordinator really came in handy. We got married at Thornewood Castle, and she already knew the space very well and knew what she could do to make both the ceremony and reception areas full and beautiful. Initially, I wanted to have candelabras on our tables along with the flowers but Jelena brought to my attention that Thornewood doesn't allow open flame. Instead, she recommended floating candles which turned out to be so dreamy and so beautiful. It's things like that that I wouldn't have known to ask about had it not been for her knowledge (and the floating candles idea was genius...so much better than candelabras). Lastly, her work is just beautiful. Really, we had so many people commenting on our flowers and asking who did them. The quality of her work is outstanding. I've never seen more beautiful arrangements in my life. All this to say, we are so glad we found someone as talented as Jelena. And on top of all her talent, she is a wonderful person who was a joy to work with. I would highly recommend her. read more

BK flowers were amazing! Jelena did my wedding bouquets and boutonnières as well as the flowers on the archway, that once at the venue, she set up and did beautifully. Jalena was recommended to me by my photographer. After meeting Jalena and talking to her for about an hour she completely had my wedding vision down. We ended up doing 3 different centerpieces and they were exactly what I was pictured. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and Jalena was very easy to work with and get ahold of. She went with my vision and suggested things that she thought would make it better. I would have her do any event that I plan in the future without hesitation. FABULOUS! My Angel! I hired Jelena about 4 weeks prior to my daughter's wedding as the day of coordinator. I live in So Cal, the bride in the Seattle area and her maids of honor in VA and CA. Bottom line, we were all over the place. I just wanted to attend my daughter's wedding stress free and that's what I got and more! From the moment I talked to Jelena I liked her "get it done" attitude and she offered up great ideas we incorporated in the last few weeks. She took charge and got us organized at the rehearsal, called vendors, etc. But the real magic came on the wedding day. I had already called her my angel, but on the wedding day she pulled off the big miracle!! The wedding ceremony was to start at 5PM sharp and at 4:30 our officiate had not arrived. Jelena placed calls to the officiate and got no response. At 4:45 she called the officiate's husband to locate our missing officiate and he had no idea where she was. Jelena really took it on, made a phone call to a local officiate she knew and arranged to have a new officiate step in and perform the ceremony. Unbelievably the ceremony started at 5:30 and it was perfect. I can't even imagine what we would have done without Jelena. Jelena was so easy to work with, she helped everywhere from arranging flowers on the cake, cleaning up spilt champagne glasses, to packing up the left-over food and sewing up my strap to my dress. I can't say enough positive things about Jelena. I will say.....she was our best wedding investment ever!!! At the end I felt she was not only our consultant, but a family friend forever! It's no accident that Jelena's reviews are so amazing. She's really that good. My husband and I were beyond impressed with her. She is SUPER responsive, very well organized, professional, calm, experienced, and our wedding MVP for sure! We hired her as our day of coordinator and our florist and the flowers were BEYOND gorgeous! The actual wedding had some hiccups that I didn't even know about until after the wedding because she just handled everything like a pro. If I would have known that we FORGOT the table numbers (oops), water was dripping on guests from the ceiling of our venue (major oops) or that the timing was off, I would have completely freaked out. Thank GOD Jelena was there with her tool belt (for real, she has an awesome tool belt she walks around with) to handle every problem. She was worth every penny and more! Jelena even found us a caterer that would travel from Seattle to Bellingham for a reasonable price! Total lifesaver. She went so above and beyond for us in every way. I had a very specific vision of what I wanted for my wedding (I made all the decorations, including table runners) and she executed every detail perfectly. I don't know what I can hire her for in the future, but I feel like I need to have a party ASAP just to hire her again! read more

Jelena and I met after I had already paid the deposit for my day-of-coordination, so I was not able to secure her as my official day-of-wedding-planner. However, over the course of the last year Jelena has checked in on me frequently and served as what I consider to be my "bridal consultant". For several reasons I felt less comfortable soliciting the advice of the actual coordinator I'm paying for and at these times, which were often, Jelena was there to help me. She is wise, helpful, strategic with planning details, compassionate, caring and giving of time - and she was doing this just out of the kindness of her heart. She is truly a "what can I do for you" kind of person ---Which I actually haven't found too much of in my planning process, even though I have a pretty large budget. I cannot imagine how thorough her services would have been if I were a paying client. We worked with Jelena as a Day Of Coordinator and I can honestly say I don't know what I would've done without her. She is incredibly efficient and thinks of every single detail, even the things I could not. I was surprised to find out that she even did a last minute alteration to one of my bridesmaid's dresses. There were some last minute changes due to some bad weather and she made sure everything was still how I wanted it. My mom was pressuring me to move my wedding completely indoors, and Jelena made sure to call me afterwards and made sure we were doing what I wanted and not what my mother wanted. She was completely 100% on my side. She also made my bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, alter arrangements, and corsages and I couldn't have asked for anything more perfect.
