I called around a few places and most of them weren't that helpful thinking it was a small job and wanted to charge just to come and look. I felt extremely fortunate to have found this company and Jeff. He answered my call right away and offered to come out that afternoon after his work hours. Prior to coming he texted that he was on his way and gave me a heads up when he was 10 minutes out. He was extremely honest, helpful, diligent, reliable, fair and went above and beyond. We agreed to work with him and he offered to get started prepping on the spot prior to our weekend cement pouring. In the midst of everything we broke our one pipe while Jeff was at Lowe's. When Jeff came back, he called in a favor to a plumbing friend and they came out right away to fix our mishap. Jeff stayed until the plumbing repairs were completed which was around 9:30/10 in the evening. They wouldn't take payment and said they were glad they could help in our moment of despair. Our yard and irrigation is completed and we are so happy with it. Jeff is so helpful and although the job is done he has still made himself available to answer any of our concerns on weeds or fertilizer. Our backyard had a design flaw where rain water had no place to drain. During periods of heavy rain, we would get a bit nervous as the water accumulated and rose close to the floor level of our outdoor patio. Fortunately, the water would be absorbed by the ground before becoming a problem but it was obviously just a matter of time. After meeting with Jeff, he suggested routing the gutter downspouts to an underground pipe along with a couple of drains. The underground pipe would run through the backyard, along the side of the house and then drain the water to the front. The front yard underground pipe would also have slits so that the water could drain out and water the grass. If the water flow was too heavy for the slits, it would flow all the way to the end of the pipe away from the house. The job was completed quickly. A trench had to be dug, cement sidewalk cut for the pipe to run under, and then the sidewalk cemented over. The first heavy rain came and it worked perfectly! We also had the lawn replaced. I guess Jeff could tell I was unreliable and talked me into installing an automatic sprinkler system for minimal cost. It was a good decision as the lawn looks great! I found JBL online and read all the positive Yelp reviews. And it's true! I called 5 companies for estimates and only 2 responded. The one that did was twice the bid JBL gave me. My original plan was to hardscape my entire front lawn. After Jeff designed the pathway, he suggested that perhaps having the entire front lawn hardscaped would make my house look too severe without any color. He suggested putting some grass back and I'm glad he did. All my neighbors commented how beautiful the yard looks. I also was going to hardscape the front side of my house with gravel and pavers. Instead, Jeff suggested an S shape with gravel and greenery on one side and grass on the other. His crew is awesome, polite, on time and so efficient. They know their craft. Everytime it rained really hard or for an extended amount of time, yard would flood. When it was really wet and flooded, the water would come up the walkway and touch the side of the back side of the home. For years we said that we have to do something, but we finally did earlier this year- and we are glad we did! We no longer worry when it rains. Jeff and his crew dug a trench around our yard, installed pipes from our rain gutter downspouts, and then using underground pipes, directed the water to the front of the home. There were also a few drains in key spots in our yard connected to those piles to handle any overflow water the collected in our yard. We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly the job was completed, and at how much labor went into the work we requested. There's no way we would have done it ourselves.
