After some discussion we determined the part could be covered under warranty and a part request email was sent to Cowboy Appliance Repair. While Austin was on speaker phone with Wayne he asked if I was being difficult and mentioned he charge me sales tax on the service call which he was not going to pay the State, how's that for a honest company? Not to mention he has yet to provide me a receipt, I have asked him 3 times for the service call receipt. Wayne has yet to get the part from LG nor keep me informed on the progress. If you have any type of warranty work you can find another "Cowboy". My wife found his reviews to be positive on Angie's List, he hasn't done anything to solve our problem, and doesn't respond to requests for a receipt or progress on getting this part. Ok, close it down folks, I've found my new appliance repair guy for the foreseeable future…read more I had started down the YouTube instructional video.. you know the ones that make everything look incredibly easy, but then it turns out it's a marginally different model of dryer and completely changes the whole equation? Yeah, one of those. So about fifty suppressed swear words later, I'm on the phone with The Other Guy, and we're booked for a short window the next day. He jumped right in and dismantled the entire thing to clean it out, test out parts, and make sure he got it right. He showed me how the burner was glowing too hot, which means we'd just be replacing it again in a handful of months. We tested and tried different things on it, and he landed on an airflow issue (in addition to already fixing the broken part), and shortened our exhaust duct. He stuck around to make sure this fix was it and was going to take, and it's been humming ever since. I also found his pricing fair, and will go to him again (but good lord hopefully not for a while, we've had enough of these things this year). On last note -- just call him. I know. I want to send the message and hope it works out, but I think it's easier and more likely to happen if you just call on this one.

They charge $200 just to show up, which I thought might cover twenty minutes worth of repairs with no parts. Nope, they charged an additional $200 for the labor. That equates to $600/hour. They didn't leave any receipt detailing what they did (I wasn't home for the repair) and it took three phone calls for them to email me the work order, that simply said " tightened handle, reattached oven burner element." That's just a lot of damn money for what I got.
