*JOHN* is a con artist. He mounted 2 tires I brought. Good price. Next morning, tire is flat. I pay for tow to his JC again. HE HOLDS MY CAR AND KEYS HOSTAGE TIL I PAY MORE $. Tells me it's my fault my tire became flat after he put the tires on. Wild. He literally told his worker to go take the tires off my car cause I tried to negotiate a lower price with him! DO NOT go to *JOHN* !!! To note: his store is so dirty there is dust all over the customer seats in waiting area etc. His office/business inside is astonishingly unorganized and disheveled. His employee was complaining to him about being more tidy and together cause he couldn't find my key first time around -- it was a whole thing where I actually thought he lost my key. Second time around I walk in while my tow truck driver is outside trying to find a place to park my car, John looks out the window and sees my car, dude not only doesn't say Hi to me...he try's to totally ignore me. Meanwhile I'm standing there waiting for him to interrupt his conversation about curbs in his neighborhood so that he can help me to direct my tow truck driver and take care of a customer he failed and let down! I have to admit, finding J.C.'s was a bit of fortune... I had recently purchased a 2012 Mini Countryman and was making preparations to get it inspected and registered/tagged when the check engine light came on (this is after about a month of ownership and driving with no problems at all). Driving down route 40 in Edgewood I saw J.C.'s out of the corner of my eye and pulled in. Spoke to John and Renee (seems to be a family run shop situation) and while they had a few cars they were working on at the time, they said they could take a look in about an hour - which I was SO grateful for. They also shared that a number of folks they knew (family and others) who drove Mini Coopers which made me feel even better to have found J.C.'s and they were able to take a look at Lil Blue (my Mini) that afternoon. I left to run a quick errand and on the way back guess what? The check engine light goes off on the way back to J.C.'s. I arrive and ask if they can do the Maryland Inspection (because wow - I saw a sign that in addition to tires and auto repair, they conduct MVA authorized inspections). John said he has time to do one or the other but not both (it was about 3:30pm by this time so I completely understood). I chose the inspection. Due to the pandemic we couldn't wait inside, but there was a snowball stand two stores down so we had a cool one and sat on their outdoor tables (which were under shady trees). While John said the inspection could take up to an hour, he called me about 40 minutes later to say the inspection was done. We walked back over and received our documentation to say Lil Blue completely passed inspection - great news! I appreciate John and Renee of J.C.'s Tire. They were honest, transparent, and relatively flexible when we literally just pulled in from the road without an appointment. Their price was fair (for the inspection and the price quoted for the diagnostic). If I need work done on Lil Blue and I'm in the area, I'd definitely return to J.C.'s Tire. read more

I ran into trouble on the Maryland highway when I was en route to Montreal. With a long journey ahead of me, and a tire issue happening all too soon, I stopped by here because it was the closest shop open. I walked into the office and told them my dilemma. They were way too apathetic, claiming that they could not get to work on it for another 6 hours. They claimed that they were completely booked for the day. This was a lie, as there were only two other customers here, and the only tech on duty that day was not even working on anything. Clearly these people don't care enough to help anyone in need, even though I was willing to pay top dollar to get back on the road. Through my insurance, USAA, I found a far more competent shop. I swiftly left this shop, but not before tearing them up a new one. These guys suck, and thankfully the next option was a life-saver. My response to the comment left by business owner: I was fully aware that the shop was not busy that day. I come from a major city, and I know what a busy shop looks like. Plus, patching up or replacing a tire does not take that long. Busy shops in Los Angeles, who also take appointments, have helped me out with my tires in the past on short notice. Scratched my rims and argued to me that I brought my rims in that way. I just agreed because at that point j just wanted to get my car back and leave. But he is reliable and got me in and out when other guys were booked. Maybe it's a reason he's not booked up ... read more

JC will not lie or rip you off ever! I'm an Uber driver and have my 1 year anniversary. For those unaware many drivers used unsafe and poorly maintained vehicles. The state has stepped in and now require a thorough inspection. JC is one of 10 tht perform the inspections. I drive a 2014 and I had a cracked mirror so I did not pass. Yet I'm not upset because we get a chance to repair and reinspect. While I was waiting for the initial inspection another driver with a sassy tricked out Cruze w blacked out windows failed and kindly offered to payoff the inspector with 2 Benjamins to pass him. I almost pissed myself! The inspector kindly declined explained the legal actions for fraud and sent him out the door. My point is to see past the negativity. Whether inspection or replacing tires by an honest educated staff is hard to come by. You will never regret spending your money here. Thank you JC for raising the bar! read more

I went in for a muffler. I was told that my car would be ready the next day; it was not. Two days later, a total of three days my car was "ready". They put one of those loud mufflers on it that the young folks get. My husband picked up my car and brought it home. When I got home and saw & heard my car, I was confused and upset. I called and was told someone would call me back; no one did. I drove back there and was told that this was the muffler that was available at the time and the owner refused to remove or exchange it without an additional charge. I took my car elsewhere and got a new muffler. Though I wanted to throw that muffler through the window of this business, I did not. (I also reported this to the better business bureau). Don't waste your time and money. read more

Went in for a tire repair. Labor is fine. However, for the part, they were charging three times higher than the online price. This is far beyond reasonable. Be aware of this place! Will never come again! read more

This is the only know place besides a dealer ho basicly fixes those check tire pressure issues usalky found with faulty batteries ..but first get some wd40 or spay lube as most of the ties the valve stem stick giving faughty reading as low tire pressurs on dash board lights warning ....now to replace a sensor on one wheel for say is about 150 to 200 thats just parts labors extra .. they have to dismount break down tire take out the valve stem install or rework the old one remount and reset computer in carvas to read the new info try to unstick it first with lube such as wd 40 and always use valve caps to prevent dirt from causing sticking stems and fause readings its a hell of alot cheaper with a 4 dollar can 8f wd40 then a 200 to 300 buck stop in the shops but they do fix them here just be sure its really broken .......Rex read more

STAY CLEAR OF THIS BUSINESS! BUYER BEWARE! Arrived at the business at 11am for a reinspection on my vehicle. Only 2 items needed to be checked; a tire patch and and windshield repair. The owner finally gets to my car around 12 o'clock and immediately comes back and says I still have a nail in my tire. So, I drive a mile down the road to a reputable tire repair shop (Ben's Tire) who pulls nail out of tire and discovers it needs no patch so no charge. I return to this place after being told when I left that I could come right back and wouldn't have to wait long being that they only needed to check 1 thing. To my surprise, when I returned the story had changed. Long story short, they didn't finish looking at my car until 4:55pm. That's 6 hrs for what should have been a 1 hr appt. Probably the worst experience I have ever had with any business, not just repair shops but any business. The worst... really. Avoid at all costs. read more

Went for a free inspection for Uber, said I failed for one thing and said it would cost $100 to fix. When I called to set it up, they informed me it would actually be over $400. I took it to my mechanic and he said there was nothing to be fixed on the issue they claimed. read more

But it should be minus two stars. I went there the first time for tire balancing. Than "J.C." told me that the ball joints were bad. So I took the truck home and replaced everything myself. I than brought the truck back for tire balancing and a front end alignment. (Those type of tools and equipement I don't have) I got a call some time later that the truck was ready. Well I drove the truck back to work and crawled under the truck to check it out. And to my astonishment I saw that both the left and right side Tie Rod clamps were not tightened and torqued properly. The driver side bolt was not installed into the clamp correctly. The passenger side was not even tightened. You could grab it with your hand and rattle it around. Now I don't know what your mechanical ability is. But at some point while driving down the road this tie rod end is going to pull out of the clamp and one tire is going to go one way and the other tire is going to go another and the damage that could occur is anyones guess and you would be lucky if no one got hurt.
