Joe came out and went the extra mile to have the controls fit in the existing wall switch box. He installed a dimmer for the LED fan light and a dimmer to adjust the fan speed. No chains! Great job. Very pleased with the service from JC Electrical Services. My husband and I were doing some last minute "nesting" before the birth of our daughter and decided to try to replace a ceiling fan. What we thought would be a couple hour project, at most, turned into two days of frustration. After not being able to fix the problem ourselves we called JC Electrical Services. Sorry, but I can't recommend them anymore because they did not follow up on their warranty/guarantee of their services when we really needed them. We called their office 20 times and left voice mails only to find that the voicemail box would be over capacity, but then the next day it had been emptied, but no one tried to return our calls after "listening" to our voicemails. I sent an email and got a response and made an appointment for them to come to our house, and it was a no-call, no show. Thanks for that JC. Subsequently, we have found a new electrician and I will not be calling or referring JC electric from now on. read more

I called JC Electrical because I had disabled an old wired alarm system and wanted some of the loose wires to be removed or capped. I was extremely happy with my experience with them. Tammy was wonderful at setting up the appointment and explaining the price in advance. Joe showed up on time, worked quickly, and did an excellent job--he even discovered a part of the old alarm system hidden behind an object that had been overheating for a long time and posed a fire hazard. Last night, we had an unexpected electrical problem. Lights went off throughout parts of the house and our bathroom vent fan quit working. Total mystery to us. I relayed this issue and asked for quotes from a couple respected electricians around Austin. Most got back to me with a dollar number and a timeline for sending somebody out. Jeremy was the only one who messaged me with a suggestion for what to try first. When that didn't work, he called me back and talked it over with me through the phone. He gave me two options: he could come out and work on the issue and get me back up and running OR if I was handy and comfortable with it, he could walk me through what he would do and see if I could fix the issue on my own. Not only did their expertise save me HUNDREDS of dollars they did an EXCELLENT job and completed it days earlier than originally promised. I had a quote from another "top" company that was twice the cost and included unnecessary work. I was on the verge of returning my new whirlpool bath because the electrical work was going to cost more than the tub. The quote from JC was FREE (others wanted a trip fee just to look). Joe in particular really shined. He was on time for both the quote and the install and was able to accommodate my schedule. The work itself was professionally done, might even say pretty... He also took the time to explain, gave me an impromptu education on electrical concepts and guidance on how to finish out the grounding necessary after I get the tub installed. I called and they answered on the first ring ! Very friendly ! I had gotten a quote for outdoor lighting from another company and thought it was over priced. I know nothing about this sort of thing and I didn't want to overpay. I called for a second opinion and they said that was actually a really good price I had gotten from the other company!!!!! He told me not to worry everything they told me about transformers and voltage was correct. Basically this company cares about the customers happiness not their pocket book. I didn't go with him because I had already been through the process of estimates and such with the other company and I was on a tight time line . If I ever need any other work done I will call them.
