I found starfit club and after reading their reviews I decided to give it a try. I was a little intimidated since I've never done a class like this before but I still wanted to at least give it a try. As soon as I walked in I was greeted at the door and I immediately noticed how clean it smelled- the place was spotless (still pretty impressed by it). The gym did a great job with having us clean up after ourselves and the trainer let me know they fully clean in between each class as well. The class itself was unlike any other class I've been to, from stat to finish I definitely got a great workout in. There were clearly people that were regulars and instead of being intimated I was motivated- phew! No one even noticed that I was new until after class when I mentioned it being my first class. My class trainer was Clarissa, she was so welcoming and made sure to help guide me through what I needed to do, without making it noticeable that I was a complete newbie. Thanks Clarissa and Star Fitclub, I can't wait to be back!

A friend referred us to this gym last year and we've been coming ever since. The gym is clean and the instructors are fantastic; motivating for all levels. Star fit is like a "better" version of an Orange Theory - session of weights, cardio (mix up of rowers, assault bikes, and treadmills). They mix up each session very well, so the class always seems to go by really quick! It's def my go to when I'm in NJ!

Open 24/7, so if you work nights or weekends, you can always get your workout in.

We have always worked out at this location anytime we visited the Island, and for the past few…read moreyears we saw a slow decline in the appearance of the facility. Last year we decided to train in AC due to the cleanliness of the gym, but the commute was an issue so when we discovered this location was under new ownership this year and we decided to give it a try. To our surprise, they did a great job cleaning up the place and rearranging the equipment. Not only was it cleaner, it was so much easier to navigate the weight room. They still need to update the locker rooms, fix the turf on the roof top and patch the drywall, but they are moving in the right direction. I could tell the new owners actually cared about the condition of the facility and took pride in the what they were doing. The equipment is more than satisfactory, but there are simple upgrades like new stretching mats that would make a huge difference. I look forward to returning next year to see what additional changes they make over the off-season.

But then…read morethe bro brigade takes over, which is a group of toxic high school jocks, particularly the little curly-haired boy with the lisp. Not sure if he actually works here or just thinks he's running a Mr. Olympia clinic, but when he's in a "training session", he occupies an assortment of equipment and gets confrontational with those nearby. Otherwise, it's a cramped but clean gym with a variety of machines and free weights, as well as platforms for weightlifting and powerlifting. Nice open garage door in the summer for airflow. Walk-ins welcome for $12/day.

All of the equipment looked and felt old. Seems like everything was from someone's rusty home gym. I used the smith machine which was not balanced as it shook each time it was moved and wouldn't go lower than your hip height, it felt unsafe to use. There is about 3 machines for legs at this gym and I would not recommend this place at all. Do yourself a favor and skip this gym. A day pass is $12 which isn't bad but this place is not worth it. It needs a MAJOR update and I won't go here again.
