It took a bit of research and effort to find Randy at Touchup Specialties but it was really worth it. The wood cabinetry around the house was looking worse for wear and needed to be refreshed. And I knew This was not a simple fix where I could go to home depot and buy a wood stain sharpie pen. A level of skill and craftsmanship was required to get these cabinets looking great again. I stumbled onto Randy via Yelp and then checked out his website. He only had a few reviews so it was hard to know how good he was at his craft. I emailed him for a quote and attached a lot of hd photos to show him what needed to be done. Randy emailed and called me back and said he needed to see it in person to give me an accurate quote. Randy came out to give me an estimate a week later. He was running behind 30 minutes but I wasnt in a rush. Before he came he gave me a price range. After he checked it out in person, his final quote was lower than his phone range estimate. The cost was not cheap but fair for the work Randy does. He also gave me generally good vibes that he could do the work. Randy ended up doing all the cabinetry throughout the home. He touched up and made things look almost like new. He started around 11:30am and finished around 6:30pm pacing himself but never really taking a break except to eat or drink some fluids. He isnt the fastest in his work speed but he does a great job finishing the repair and the end product is really great. Randy was soft on the property and he is professional. He has a workcart he brings with him where all his tools, stains, and tools of trade are kept as he works. He also did not make a mess. However the products he uses to repair do smell so keep your windows open and air out the home for several hours to let the fumes out asap. If your home or rental gets beat up, Randy can repair your cabinets or wood work and do it the right way. He also does commercial offices. And he was a friendly nice person to deal with. read more

I cannot recommend Randy Haddad of Touch-Up Specialties enough! I would give him 100 stars if I could! We had a plethora of touch up work to be done- ranging from our scratched-up front door (dogs) to a white spot on our wood table (heat) to a scratched part of our hardwood floors (desk chair) to a gazillion nicks throughout our kitchen from lots of wear and tear over the years. He fixed everything like it was brand spanking new! He was so thorough and detailed- like a true artist...meticulously matching all the different stains and colors. The funny thing is- we have had touch ups done in the past from other companies - but never to the quality that Randy provided. Most places specialize in finishes (redoing everything), whereas Randy's expertise is touch ups- and there is a big difference (...but not to worry- he can also do entire finishing jobs as well). He was kind, efficient, easy to work with, and just as masterful of a technician as you will ever find! Thank you Randy- for such a superb job. Working with Randy was a great experience. He worked on an older 1970's-ish sideboard/buffet I bought at a yard sale. Had deep scratches, waxy buildup, nicks, and was very dull. Randy had it looking fantastic in a matter of hours, and did the work at our house keeping me from having to load it into our truck and haul it down to a shop.
