I'm a little late to this review but WOW. I was scheduled with Alvart and I dont think I'll go to anyone else. I have VERY long hair. As in it reached to the mid of my gluten. Usually salons will just do the cut, blow dry until it was mostly dry, and then leave. In between they would also work on other clients. I've had some complain about my hair length as well. Alvart was AMAZING with me. She was so kind, patient with my hair, blow dried it completely AND styled it. No one has ever taken the time to style my hair before. We also made great conversation. She was fun and lighthearted. I think its important to connect with someone who is cutting my hair, and I've never felt this comfortable with anyone else before. She even recommended a moisturizing treatment and my hair feels sooooo soooo good! We o nly took off about 5 inches so she still had so much hair left to work on but I am so so happy. Lilia does an amazing job on my blonde! She also did a cute hailey Bieber bob! She does better blonde than most of the extremely expensive boutique salons and I will never go anywhere else. I actually went to her bc she does my boyfriend's curly hair well. She can do it all! Lili is a miracle worker she is the best! I was in need of a haircut and I had her look at my hair I had funky color in (blue with lilac) of course the color was fading and turning green and she was able to fix it and give me a much needed make over. Every stylist here is talented, and the service is impeccable. The salon is friendly and cozy. But, Lilia, Lilia is another level! She is an absolute professional fantastic, passionate accommodating and takes care of me 100%. Lilia has colored my hair, and cut it a few times, and I have always been extremely happy when I leave the salon. I have always been satisfied with her service. I highly recommend Lilia! She did an amazing job from start to finish with washing my hair, cutting, and blowdrying. She asked me how much I wanted to cut at each layer of my hair and showed me before cutting. Just want to say that my hair stylist Arevik at the JCPenney salon in Glendale is awesome! She is a magician when it comes to fixing hair! Arevik always does a wonderful job on my hair and whoever I send to her! Whether you need a haircut, a blowdry or color, she always does an amazing job! The salon is very clean and they are taking all the necessary precautions to keep everyone safe. The receptionist Rita is also very helpful, patient and sweet. I definitely missed going to the salon during the pandemic (like the rest of the world), but I am glad that Arevik and some of the others at the Glendale JCPenney hair salon is back to being open and taking care of "fixing" us all up. read more

She was careful to make sure not to cut off extra length that I wanted to keep- which I greatly appreciate. I've had hairstylists not be considerate of that in the past and it was nice that she was considerate of that without me even having to ask. Lilia was very friendly and professional. Goes above and beyond. I'm gonna rave here for a bit. I was a walk in to do a color. I moved out of the country and JCP NORCAL was my old regular salon. Visiting LA I thought I'd take advantage of getting my hair color from JCP since they're scarce in Canada. The Glendale shop discovered they didn't have my color in house so they actually went shopping for it AND called other salons as well. No one had it and they figured the color had actually been discontinued. So instead of giving me a shrug and a wave they put their heads together and literally matched my color exactly with what they had in house. BIG shout out to the store manager who is also a colorist (a great one) and Irene who is a master and a sweetheart. LOVE this shop. The stylists have wonderful relationships with each other and the vibe is very friendly and welcoming. The price was also fantastic! read more

I have thick 2B curls and a lot of hair and I've always had a hard time finding someone I could trust to cut my hair - someone who knows how to cut curls in layers and in a timely manner.
