We were wanting some good catfish and we're going through the Conyers area so we looked up Yelp reviews and decided to try this place out. I don't know where these other people that were leaving reviews were going, but it did not resemble at all the place that we walked into. As soon as we entered, it almost looked vacant with an overwhelming old fish smell, like they used to have tanks of fish that had been sitting there getting stale. There wasn't a soul in site eating there. The girl behind the counter looked at us like we were the enemy! We walked toward the counter, and she just glared at us. We smiled and asked a question, and she again just stared! Now I know we're not from this area but that's definitely not a way to get new business! Finally, we said we did not know what we were going to order and she handed us a paper To-Go menu. We took ,it said thank you and left! The crayfish shell is not as hard as I would like it to be but they charged by the pound so I get all my money worth. Located in the Biglot plaza so this place was super easy to locate.... after reading some reviews saying their seafood boil is not fresh or what not. You guys are so uneducated for saying you're from Louisiana and crayfish should make fresh. Everyone knows crayfish should be soaked for at least 45 minutes for flavors. Well, I just found my new addiction & reason to venture over to Conyers. Was in the area & craving seafood, particularly crab legs. Red Lobster is awful & way over priced. I had been hearing Juicy Crab had bad health scores & I don't really like everything is doused in a gallon of butter. I saw JD's on here so decided to check it out. The service is only carry out now & there was a liner @ the door. I waited in line & ordered their choose 3 of cluster of crab legs, lb. crawfish & lb. clams "spicy" with corn & potatoes for $24.99. Very good deal I think. The cashier said it'd take 10-15 minutes. So, I went next door to Big Lot grabbed a few things I needed. When I came back my food was ready. The cashier opened the box to show me my food before she bagged it & asked if I needed any sauces. She was very sweet. I declined any sauce & let me tell you...I DID NOT need it! Whatever they are using as spice works perfectly with the natural juices of the shell fish with out it swimming in butter. I will definitely be back next week & grab the hubs a box this time (he was at work on a 36 hr shift...I wasn't being greedy lol). Can't wait to try out other menu items. I will probably call ahead so I can pick it up right away. My recommendation is they should open a sit down dine-in spot with a patio, cold beer & wine. That'd be heaven for me! read more

In the beginning of this companies life they made a lot of mistakes. They're still working out the kinks such as selling cereal in the corner of a seafood restaurant, it's not the prettiest restaurant on the block, but the food speaks for itself. Also when you're selling your food for the prices they actually cost and not taxing an arm and the leg of my first born son, I could careless how cute your restaurant is. I used to order the catfish with fried shrimp until one too many times the fried skin from my catfish would all slide off at once, now I always get the butterfly steamed shrimp, corn & potatoes with extra seasoning.. no one in the surrounding area can compare!
