The seasoning was different from what I'm used to, but in a good way it really stood out. I was looking forward to trying the watermelon slush, but they were out, so I settled for the watermelon cubes and a large sweet tea. The watermelon was refreshing, but the sweet tea tasted a little watered down. Overall, the crab definitely stole the show, and I'll be back for more. Terrible experience and manager!!! I stopped by this place for the first (and last) time today and ordered a grub shack snack, with broccoli, black mussels, and an egg added on. I was asked if I wanted to add a drink, and upon inquiring about offerings, was told that the fountain and canned drinks were my options. I declined, but later noticed (she didn't know her own product offerings or didn't care) the peach, lemonade, and fruit punch drink machine (which is behind you if you are at the counter), and added a peach drink and a brownie. The total bill was $51.83. After making a few stops and getting home (North Druid Hills) about an hour and a half later, I opened my food and noticed that the crab legs were not in the container. I called back and notified the manager (Sunni), who proceeded to tell me that she recalled my order, and my crab legs were not left out. After telling her I did not appreciate her basically saying that I am lying about a half a pound of crab legs, she then asked the cook, who co-signed that the crab legs were in the order. After reiterating that the crab legs were not in the order, she said I could come back and get them. I told her where I lived (25 miles away) and that I would not be coming back today for some crab legs, and if I come tomorrow (or Monday since they don't open on Sunday), but I expected a concession of some sort, being that this was their mistake, not mine, and I lived far from their location. She said that would not happen and was ready to get off the call. I then asked when the owner would be there, but she refused to answer. I then asked for the owner's contact information, but again was refused. On top of everything, the food was extremely salty and tasted awful. I will take this as a lesson to remind me of how shabby work ethics and customer service have become in today's environment. Just think of how often your orders are wrong and the lack of effort that is put into recovering the experience and retaining your business by staff/management. I will not leave a food establishment again without checking my order, and all of those pre-service tips will now be 0. No more free money for poor, subpar service. They can't even do what they are supposed to do anymore. read more

This place is trash now. I went in for some fried shrimp. And they basically gave me Gorton's Fisherman bread shrimp. WTF?! When I told him this was not the shrimp you used to sell. The lady who took the order was very inconsistent with prices she gave us and the prices that we viewed on the menu board. They offer plenty of choices for great prices. They also have a hot bar where you can get a home cooked meal and some sides. The prices are the draw. A cheaper price point then similar eateries and a lot more flavor. It works. I've had the wings (really good just super small,) the hot bar (rib meal for only about $8) which comes with two sides, and I've also tried their fried corn, which is literally a seasoned ear of corn fried. The flavor of the food is excellent however, I ordered blue crab and paid for 3 extra crabs . I couldn't eat not one crab they were all mushy. You cook crabs for 15 mins you cannot keep them soaking in the hot water or over steam they continue to cook. The sausage could be cooked a little longer. I enjoy occasionally eating at Grub Shack. I often get the seafood boils.I love them all and it is priced very reasonably. My only complaint is the shrimp in the boils are not consistent.
