Anyway for the food, you walk in, line up, order, then find a seat. It was difficult to find seating. It was loud, crowded, and felt a little packed. I think next time I will order my stuff for to go. They had soo many choices. It was hard to pick just one or two things, so we got 4 to share. Everything was delicious. Freshly baked. My favorite was I think it was called croque monsieur? Sough dough bread, I think maybe bechamel and cheese, and veggies. It was hard to cut so I just ate it with my hands. Maison is on the grounds near the main roadway that Appellation is on. They've got a bakery here, as well as a wine bar of sorts connected to it. The bread here is so fresh, soft, & good. We ended up getting 2 fresh loafs to bring back home. You can take your food and coffee and sit out back or out front. Tons of people I think stop in here to hang and get a quick bite and just sit outside and enjoy the weather and people watch. Nice place to hang.

We liked them so much that we packed up the leftovers and took them with us while we walked over to the visitor center afterward. That's always a good sign when you're making sure not a single chip goes to waste. We've been here quite a few times over the years, and one thing that keeps us coming back is the consistency. The food is always excellent, and even on busier days they seem to keep things moving. During this visit the restaurant was fairly crowded, but we were still served promptly and never felt forgotten. The atmosphere is one of my favorite things about Maison. It feels relaxed without being overly casual and always makes for a nice lunch stop when we're in Lodi. Of course not, as I've had plenty of top tier matcha from south Sac and the bay, but it was smooth and the blackberry flavor was prominent. After waiting for several more minutes, our food was ready, and we eagerly dug in. I loved that our plates were served with freshly seasonal fruit, and that neither my bagel nor my husband's burrito was oily. Both of our selections were solid choices, and we would get them again. I would've liked if I could have chosen my bagel type (perhaps they don't go through enough bagels to warrant giving people choices), but the plain one that came with the dish was still good. Upon walking in, I was amazed with all they had, their small coffee shop, tables centered in the middle for people to read their books and enjoy their coffee and bites, and the selection of books. I picked up an oat milk cold brew latte and blueberry muffin which were super delicious. I also picked up a cool bilingual library for my niece who is learning Spanish and was so excited that they had this. I also happened to come across a super interesting book that I couldn't leave behind and best part is that the author happens to be a local author (score!).
