READ THE REVIEWS! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! THEY DO NOT SELL LOW MILEAGE ENGINES! The engines had the appropriate amount of carbon build up for a 200,000+ mile engine from the US! This guy Joe is a snake, and extremely rude and will lie to get the sale and your money! BASED on other reviews her will call you a liar and you never bought anything from him. Too many RED FLAGS! There are plenty of bad reviews and I think some of the good ones are fake. We purchased an engine from here for a camry. It didn't even turn over and had so much crud inside the engine that there was no way this was a 40,000-60,000 km engine from Japan. We returned the engine the following week and Joe gave us a hard time tell us it was our fault that the engine did not work. My husband & son are mechanics by profession and work for the CITY of Los Angeles. He gave them a hard time and did not want to honor the warranty. The warranty is 30 days. My husband had to put his foot down and demanded the warranty be honored. Finally Joe, gave in and gave them another engine which my husband insisted that he inspect internally with a borescope and demanded he does a compression test. He did not want to do it. Gave bunch of excuses and my husband told him that's ok, I have all day. He finally let my husband inspect the replacement which also had heavy carbon deposits, but they were able to demonstrate the engine did turn over. We brought the replacement engine home and installed. After much work and installing another engine, this engine is crap also. It does turn over, we might get a couple hundred miles out of it, hopefully. For $1600, really you expect something that would get you alot further than that. Again, what we were supposed to get was a low mileage engine. What we got was a high mileage engine on it's last leg. We will be reporting this company to the California Consumer Protection agency as well as the county and city. This company is in the business of ripping people off. We didn't do our homework prior to patronizing this business, I wish we did! I hope this review saves someone the money, time, and headache. LATEST UPDATE 03/11/2025 : Lies again! Owner left a voicemail admitting his company made a mistake, apologizing for my experience and offering to make things right. I was not interested in buying anything from this place so I didn't want to respond. After seemingly getting butthurt because of no response from me, he changes his tune, edits his review and now says I'm the problem again. No updates like I did, just flat out changes this whole review. After he apologized and admitting that his company made a mistake. This is hilarious lol, do you seriously think people won't read this before buying from your shop? Nice job trying to paint me as the bad guy when YOU lost a customer because you don't know to treat people with respect. This is what you'll be dealing with if you try and ask even a few questions about an engine you're about to drop 6k on. I live around 500 miles away so I wanted to get all the info before I made the trip - like any sane person would. Was super polite - just look at the chat below. Then I get a little busy at work and he throws a hissy fit because I didn't respond in 10 seconds. Lol. Trust me it's not worth buying from this place. Getting a used JDM engine is already a gamble (which I totally understand) but how is someone supposed to buy with confidence from someone who talks to customers like this? When someone doesn't get the info they need, especially on a 6k purchase (don't lie about the 6k purchase too, I got this number by adding the engine to the cart on your very own website), either they will give up or try again to get the info - which is what I did. Also I think you need a course on how engines work. Did you know that the ECU controls an engine, and that if you don't have the right ECU, the engine won't work? Wow! Who could've guessed right? So maybe if you provided the ECU PN like I asked for multiple times, so I could confirm it would drop into my chassis, I wouldn't have to contact you multiple times. The seller clearly has no idea what he is even selling, and has absolutely no patience. I asked about the engine and the seller said it is a 1JZ rear sump that came out of a chaser. Completely wrong as all chasers are front sump. Plus the ECU in the picture was labeled non VVTI and he's selling a VVTi engine. Because of this I asked for the ECU PN. I got a little busy at work - for perhaps an hour, and this guy sends a message crying out that I refused to provide my phone number. So pathetic. Lol. If you're that insistent on communication though phone, why even engage on eBay in the first place? People have a life man, get used to it. I sell on FB marketplace and haven't met a more insecure dude. I repeat - DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE. The seller seems like someone who will do anything to make a quick buck. Imagine selling an engine and not even knowing basic details about it, and then sending out unprofessional messages because you're angry that people have a life. Lies all lies. They use these motors to death before the pull them and sell them to you. I got an engine with over 200,000 on was supposed to have 30-60k It was broke down engine. after having it shipped and swapping it there was nothing i could do the 90 days was up and the engine was trash. Be Carefull my People, I bought a Low 50,000 millage engine trough Gerardo AutoCare from JDM, back on May 2024, and just 3 months later the Engine start making a loud noise, I took my Car to another shop, ending up that the so called "LOW MILLEAGE ENGINE" wasnot such a thing, He remove the Oil pan and black sludge was glued to the walls, and this meaning that this engine has more than 300,000 milles, I Spoke With Joe from JDM he said there is nothing they can do since the warranty was only for 3 months and 4 months was transcurred, I understand this, But this is if they really Sell a 50,000 milles engine, First this engine wasn't a low mileage engine. The "LOW MILLEAGE ENGINE" thing from Japan, is a scam, to sell more. Zero stars. Customer service is terrible. Joe said it would be okay to give him payment for the motor to begin and the rest at pickup for time and labor but then turns around and says NO. He wanted the full amount upfront because "HE IS THE BOSS AND THE DECISION MAKER and.... THE INDUSTRY IS FULL OF RATS." No kidding. I messaged them about a specific engine/transmission/ECU they advertised, with two very specific questions; does the VIN match for the engine and ECU, and if they know the mileage of the engine. I could see that they saw my message and didn't reply, so I added that I am a serious buyer wanting the parts to engine swap my 2001 MR2. Instead of answering my questions, they told me that engine would be too much work and told me to buy a different engine from them instead. The engine they recommended is the engine that comes in the 1991-1996 MR2, which wouldn't be a legal swap for my car in California, whereas the one I asked about would be a very straight-forward and California legal swap. In fact, swapping the stock 1ZZ-FE engine for the 2ZZ-GE engine I enquired about is the most common and straightforward swap for the third generation MR2. The reply stinks of sexism, and they either didn't pay attention to what I said or they don't know what they're talking about. I reached out to some friends who are well established in the local car community, and they all had awful things to say about these guys. Stay away. read more

On February 8th, 2024 I purchased a transmission for a 2002 Honda Accord from JDM California Motors in Commerce, California. However, I was sold a transmission for a 2001 Honda Odyssey in which ended up not being compatible to my vehicle as the fly wheel did not coincide with the torque converter. I immediately contacted the business owner Joe in which sold the transmission to me and he told me the solenoid needed to be changed, I informed him that it had been changed. Joe then requested to speak to my mechanic and when my mechanic informed him that the transmission was not the right transmission and I was sold the wrong transmission he called my mechanic a Bitch. I immediately stopped the conversation and told him I will not tolerate that disrespect and that I would only like to get my vehicle to excellent working condition without further due or disrespect. Joe then recommended that I take the transmission to diagnosed by his mechanic as well as for a second opinion. I then did so and his mechanic also stated that the transmission was bad and not in good working condition in fact his mechanic had to push the vehicle off of his business as the vehicle no longer went on reverse after his inspection. I immediately informed Joe of his mechanic diagnosis and he did not want to believe what his mechanic's expert opinion was in addition his mechanic diagnosed the vehicle with an electrical device and confirmed the transmission was bad. Joe then told me he would only be refunding me 15% I told him I had a receipt in which is a legal binding contract in which states that I have a warranty for 30 days in addition begins 10 days after the date of purchase. I informed him the transmission was bad 21 days after purchase and attempted to return the transmission on the 28th day and they refused to accept the transmission and issue me a full refund. I then contacted the Sheriffs Department a unit was dispatched and before the unit arrived they closed the shop and left. The following day I received a call from Joe in the morning in which he told me he would be issuing me a full refund but that in order to receive a refund I needed to sign a document stating that I would not be pursuing him or his company for additional damages and expenses due to him selling me the incorrect transmission. When I arrived to the shop his employees took possession of the transmission but refused to refund me when I did not agree to sign a contract for the additional expenses I incurred. The photos below show his employees refusing to accept the transmission on Thursday, March 7th, 2024 at approximately 1627 hours, and then taking possession of the transmission the following day Friday, March 8th, 2024 at approximately 1422 hours and still not issuing me the full refund after and even though they were in full possession of the transmission by the 29th day. read more
