I brought an old dress to get a simple hem; it was too long and so I just needed it taken up a few inches. They told me it would be $30, which I gasped and questioned because I was definitely not expecting a simple hem to be $30. I expected max $20. After 7 WEEKS, I got a text that it was ready. It's cash or check only which is so irritating, and then to top that they tell me it would be $50!! Y'all are out of your minds to charge people $50 for a straight, uncomplicated hem.. There are plenty of other places that have way quicker turn around time and more reasonable prices and who answer their phone. Would never recommend this place. The only positive is that they are English speaking and nice. I tried it on when I got home, and it's not even an even hem. Terrible experience.

The timeline is typically 2-3 weeks to have an alteration done and she has always gotten the work done within the promised timeline. I took off a star because the store itself is a bit messy with piles of bags of alteration jobs on the floor. Despite this she manages to stay organized and always has quickly found the item I'm picking up. Also the store hours are limited with it only being open in the afternoon during the week. It's difficult to find a good alteration spot in Charleston. I've tried a handful and this is the best I've found as she does a good job and gets the works done within the given timeline.

When she said they were ready, I picked them up and took them home to try on. The bridesmaid dress hem was horrific. Lining was longer than outer layer and one side of dress was longer than the other. The rehearsal dress had never been touched! When I addressed the issue with her and demanded a refund, she apologized for the hem and said she didn't know how that happened but would refund me. She insisted she altered the rehearsal dress but it was clearly never touched. She would not agree to this and only refunded me a portion of what I paid. I had to get someone else to fix the bridesmaid dress and buy another rehearsal dress. Also, she had the dresses for a month and this occurred 3 days before the events. Very Disappointed !!!

This place has a fitting room to try on your garments and they will come pin the garment as needed.
