Jean Jeffery Salon inside Don Laughlin's Riverside Casino is the most dishonest and unethical business I have ever dealt with. * The owner took my cash for a gift certificate, then flat-out refused to honor it. * She gave out my private contact information, which led to harassment -- an outrageous violation of trust. * She hides behind her connection to the casino, using that relationship as an abuse of power instead of simply doing the right thing. * I delivered a written complaint and cease-and-desist letter -- completely ignored. This wasn't a mistake. It was a choice -- to cheat a customer, violate privacy, and dismiss accountability. I loathe the arrogance, the dishonesty, and the total lack of ethics from this owner. Zero stars if I could. Judy completely destroyed my mothers hair, and cut it down to the scalp in the back. This was October 12, 2025. Spoke with the owner, Brittany, she offered a neck message and include a trim, or what could be done to help the situation. My mother did not want the message but did come back in so that Kaitlyn, who had previously cut her hair, could try to blend and do what she could with what was left of her hair. The back was so short that she could not do anything with it and said to let it grow and she would eventually be able to blend it in and make something of her hair as it grew out. It is now 58 days later and I called to make an appointment to have her hair trimmed. I questioned why I would pay yet again, when it is their disaster that needs to be fixed. This takes time when hair is down to nothing more than stubble in the back. I paid $50 at the time with NO OFFER for a refund when the disaster occurred. The owner was absolutely rude today, said she went above and beyond in October (although she claimed it was 4 months ago). I did get a huge laugh when she had the audacity to tell me that she was "insulted." What an absolute joke. If you look at the Riverside clientele they are a Super Cuts crowd, it's just to bad that the Jean Jeffrey Salon and "Day Spa" are not up to Super Cuts standards. Stay away. read more

Decided last minute it was a mani/pedi kind of day, called the salon, and was able to book one for me and my mom later that day. The mail side of the salon is nice and small, no long rows of tables and chairs, or a tv. It's a nice spot to relax. The two people who did our nails were AWESOME. I didn't catch the woman's name but the man who did mine was Mark. Both super friendly, Mark helped me out with a color to match my toes when I couldn't decide and added some sparkle I didn't know I needed to have on my nails. I LOVE THEM! I'd highly recommend this place, I think it'll be added to plans whenever I come back to visit. read more

I booked my BRIDAL hair and makeup for May 22 @12pm. This morning I hadn't heard from anyone to consult so I called and was told they didn't see me on the calendar. I start to panic then she says oh I see it but we don't have anyone on Sunday. I said I booked it back in January (see photo saved after I booked dated) you all knew the date was Sunday. I have been here before for a massage, mani and pedi. I wanted a blow out. I've had a mastectomy in 2014 and drug therapy. My husband retired on February 11. On February 10 I was diagnosed with lung cancer, never smoked. I had part of my lung removed a week after our 30th wedding anniversary in April. In June my mother decided to sell her house, of 50 years in Orange County. She bought a house here. We packed her, moved her, and remodeled her new home. We went back a forth for 3 months, when my husband said that my 86 year old mother can not live alone. So we sold our home of 27 years in OrangeCounty. Moved our 2300 square ft home and now are living in a 1 bedroom condo that we previously owned. I started drug therapy for my lung cancer. Needless to say life has been crazy. I've lost at least half my hair. So I called wanting a blow out to feel pretty for a night. Judy was able to take me. When she pulled my hair down from a scrunchie, I noticed all my gray roots. Judy said I can take care of that. I thought ok. Then she said, "can I make a suggestion?" I thought sure. She pointed out how thin my hair was up front but, still pretty good in the back. "How about an angled bob." I was thinking how funny because, when I do cut my hair that's my go to style. 2 and a half hours later, I felt like a new person. She rocked the color. The cut is incredible. I will be returning. Judy was awesome. She is there Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Go see her! She was awesome. read more

We had a positively lovely experience at this spa. Nestled inside a casino, we were supremely pleased with the decor and calm, clean ambiance of the interior. Our technicians greeted us promptly upon our arrival and were delightfully polite, professional, and kind. The Toning and Slimming Mud Wrap was absolutely heavenly and 50 minutes was just not enough! Book the 80! And afterwards, there is a spacious, well-designed, walk-in shower with various sundries available (shampoo/conditioner/towels/robes/etc.); a luxurious way to end a luxurious treatment! The 50-minute Deep Tissue massage was equally relaxing. The therapist was very responsive and even implemented a roller in certain areas for added pressure. Although we wish there was a peaceful wind-down space like the treatment rooms for us to go and enjoy more tea before having to dress and leave, we still felt welcomed and treated with utmost care! read more

I came into the Salon for a trim shampoo and blow dry, Well I got talked into a color, I have pure while hair, and the girl (I believe it was Judy) said it would'nt change the color, just give highlights, I also told her I have two balding spots from the B-Bap sleep machine I use, the band goes around the top and back of my head. Well she cut with a razor, extremely short on back and then the slightly supposed to be just high lights, turned out dark, and it is a strange color certainly not white with highlights, and the two bald areas stand out like neon lights, As you can guess I am very disappointed with the finished product. Love my massages! Whenever we are in Laughlin I make an appointment at this day spa. Every time my experiences is pleasant and the price on an 80 min well worth it. 6 STARS booked 3/2/21 (I think...being in a casino makes days blurry). I booked an 80min massage with Alissa (sp?) and a Triple Platinum Facial with Taryn. Massage- Alissa has the healing touch. She was very thorough in her pre-massage evaluation making sure we were on the same page with what was expected out of the massage. Just enough conversation to making the session comfortable but not overly "chatty." Alissa also went through ideas with me about correcting my posture while sitting on a planes or when in front of a slot machines (rolled towel for lumbar support). Alissa's new to the salon (ish) and will be a great addition to their team (staff really seemed to like each other which gave the salon a family vibe). Facial- Taryn is great. She is very knowledgable and is a master with "strong vacuums and very sharp objects (obviously I don't get many facias)). It's obvious she loves what she does! Book with her while you can...is destined for greatness. I apologize for not catching the name of the front desk receptionist; she was wonderful too and made sure to offer me water upon check-in. Great Job Owner! You've hired some truly wonderful people. Only suggestion I have- allow employees to pick their own music while in treatment rooms. The music streaming often changed in volume causing me to feel "blown away" when the song changed. Had a Dr. Babor facial with Taryn. She was amazing. She left my skin super clean and silky. Only down fall is they are not allowed to use lancets to remove melia's which is one of the reasons I go get professional facials. Totally not her fault it's salon policy. Give her a try. Terrible customer service. I bought my mother a gift certificate here just before Covid. It expired during a pandemic where people were forced to not travel or be near people especially if older.  They would not honor it or extend it's expiration date. With only two days in advance, I was able to get an appt on New Year's Eve for a Therapeutic Message. I'm a bit of a massage snob so knowing I had waited to the last minute, I was nervous about the level of expertise I would be getting. I was in for a surprise - and Elizabeth was.. perfect. She really knew what she was doing and I was able to time my breaths with her strokes to get a celestial type of experience. She used her arms/elbow as tools with just the right amount of pressure and accuracy. She let me know where she was by gliding her hand down the sides of my body as she walked around. Had a great facial by Kasey. She is amazing and would recommend her to anyone. Following the facial I had a deep tissue massage. It was by far the worst massage I had ever had. I almost stopped her half way through and told her I'm done. It was like going to the $20.00 foot massage in california. Reflexology is all she knew. I told her my back and neck were my main focus but she spent all her time on my legs and arms. Its was a waste of time and money. Don't get a massage here. read more

The person who gave the massage would not listen to what I wanted at all. i do deep tissue and HATE spa massage... My husband and i both went and he said it was OK... Mine was terrible... I do two hour massage and it was outrages priced considering they wold not do the massage i wanted... Then when they add the tip on....I would not have tipped the girl 10 bucks considering every time I told her I wanted deep tissue she told me NO.... Never go back.. My experience overall was well. Elizabeth did a great job. I'm no massage connoisseur but it was nice being only my second professional massage. My girlfriends masseuse on the other hand was kinda terrible. Rushed through the massage and was noisy and clumsy. "It's like she got sick of doing nails and decided to give massage therapy a try". I had an invigorating and totally relaxing massage, the beds are heated! OMG! As if the massage didn't nearly put you to sleep the beds certainly will! I followed that up with a full set of eyelash extensions and they are pure perfection ! They really make my eyes pop now! My bf is a wonderful man who loves to pamper me. He got us both Himalayan salt massages. He loved his, which is why I'm giving 2 stars. I was going to do 3 stars until I heard the price and that they automatically add 18% gratuity. $130 for..... My girl hardly spoke English which I didn't mind since she shouldn't talk much anyway right? The massage started nicely on my neck for like 20 min, which meant she had to rush on the rest. For the rest of my body, she rubbed the hot stones over my muscles so quickly that it just felt like a roller. The rocks kept rolling into each other, which was very distracting. Idk why they even asked if we had spots for them to pay attention to bc I said my lower back and she hardly even touched it. She twisted my arms so far behind my back that I got a cramp, then she moved my shoulder bone and my nerves shot through my arm and distorted my fingers. I have a fairly high pain tolerance so I didn't say anything but it was by far the most uncomfortable massage I've ever gotten. And I've gotten quite a few. Now I understand why people who have gotten a massage before say they will never get one again. If this was my first, I would never get one again. I will never be back to this salon.
