The poise, grace and confidence that my daughter is partially due to her experiences here. The staff has always been more than helpful and the owner is a wonderful instructor, director and roll model for all that have the pleasure of meeting her. I have never seen or heard of any incidents of "laying hands", as reported by another yelper, in all of the years my daughter has been studying there. The owner and her staff go above and beyond to keep the children safe while in their care for classes. If anything the owner and staff have the patience of saints when dealing with occationally fussy children and more often than not difficult parents.

As a venue: spacious area with a large room for tables for refreshments during intermission. A medium-sized stage area with no disabled seating but they allow wheelchairs to sit in front of the graduated seating section (so in front of the first row). Personnel/hosting staff: Employees (or volunteers?) are happy and helpful. If you are disabled or are with someone, they acknowledge and help you right away frm the time you arrive until they see you out the door when the performance is over. Programs are right on time. Place is clean. As an entertainment/arts program: Well-chosen material that can be appreciated by any age group and is not too long for younger audience members. I enjoyed my first time at SpectorDance for their holiday show and auction. I felt welcomed into what seemed to be a supportive group of people who are all probably parents of the performers. People from the organizing team introduced themselves. The auction was one of the most approachable in the area and I felt appreciated when I bid on something. Plenty of parking in their private lot. My first time out here won't be my last. I'm bookmarking their site so I can know when performances come up.

I enrolled her in KidzCornerUSA shortly after & it was the best move I made. My daughter is on the competition team & is doing amazing!! Her first year of competition & she scored well enough to compete at the state level!! She absolutely loves it!! She's thriving there & it's because of coach Stephanie. I love that her classes are smaller so all her students get more personal one on on one instruction. Also, because the class setting is smaller, students are not as easily distracted. Another great thing is that I pay a lot less than what I was paying at the other gym academy & my daughter gets twice as much instruction with her coach. As a single mom, I can appreciate saving a buck or two. Stephanie not only coaches all her students the same in terms of workouts & drills, but she works towards helping advance every student according to their own individual capabilities. Not one child is ever compared to another nor are they left feeling less because they haven't learned to do certain skills. She doesn't just coach her students, she also mentors, guides, encourages, motivates, & helps lift their self esteem. She makes sure every child shines & stands out. She's so great with her students & she gets them excited. My daughter is learning so much, not just gymnastics. Since I live closer to Elite Gymnastics, I decided to give them a try. I was so impressed! The smaller class size, one on one attention from the coach, and more traditional gymnastics exercises is exactly what my daughter needs! There's a young boy fairly skinny kid who coaches the smaller children. I feel he looks very bored and disinterested in his job. He often looks away and is distracted. I specifically made sure my daughter did not have him as a coach. Why the one star? Well first of all they never, never answer your phone calls. You must leave a message and wait for a call back. Sometimes they call back and sometimes they don't. Secondly, my daughter was sick with a fever and was unable to attend her Monday night class. I called the gym a few days later and spoke to a male. I explained that my daughter missed a class on Monday and kindly asked if she could take a makeup class on Friday or Saturday. His response was "did you call before she couldn't make it to class" I said I'm sorry no I didn't call. His response, "then no she can't make up a class" ok I get it, firm strict firm RULES. I get it but we are paying customers and he could at least be somewhat accommodating in some way.

I've been frequenting this gym now for over 2 years, along with 5-6 others up/down the state. This…read moregym in Marina is the one I use most and is by far the largest. I like the equipment and the surrounding stores. However, the cleanliness of this gym is atrocious I'm sorry to say. The restrooms are constantly a mess. There is mold (smells moldy) and little flies occupy the showers. The restrooms and showers should be cleaned with bleach on a daily basis. I understand that this gym likely draws over 200 people per day, and as I mentioned before is very large and probably difficult to keep clean. That being said however, management needs to take this into account and hire accordingly. There is only one person working here. On rare occasions there are two. This facility needs a full time janitor who can clean the restrooms 2-3 times per day. That may seem like a lot but the showers and restrooms do require that kind of maintenance. There also needs to be water sealers in the showers to prevent water draining on to the entire bathroom floor. This is an easy fixed and should be handled swiftly. Please consider my comments and address the cleanliness. Thank you!
