I went in around 640pm and the manager said it was full but we could use the last lane since no one is using it and then when the swim team is done we could move over if we like. I said as long as we get a lane I'm fine, I don't mind where the lane is located. We get there and swim team has it so we go to another lane and everyone is saying it's their lane and they don't want to share. We swim in the common area pool because the young kids swim class is done but of course lap swimming is difficult because you have a lot of people floating in front of you. So we wait until 7pm which isn't much longer so we could get a lane. The swim team lingers and some of their friends go to their lane so it's like they were reserving it so again no lap for us. I had to leave, it was a waste of time, money and changing into swim wear. In fact I think I spent more time in the the changing room than swimming. Will not be returning. If the manager would have said no lane is open we wouldn't have even gone in, very misleading. Overly crowded. It's a great pool for the young but for an adult who is busy and wants a work out I would go somewhere else.

They have to go through test, show an understanding of honor, respect and fortitude. The school does not promise to advance your child to blackbelt in a few short years if you sign up for their membership. It's impressive to see the longevity of students who have stayed with this amazing school. I cannot say enough about the sensai/teachers. They are the absolute best I have seen in training, support, kindness, respect and all without humiliating or screaming at your child. They hold the students accountable for their actions with wisdom and explanations. I actually have put off the thought of moving from the area just to keep my daughter in this facility. I have also taken the kickboxing classes myself to get in physical shape for my job and I dropped 30lbs in 2 months! I've grown to love the staff and the familiar faces that I've watched grow up here. They take the classes seriously, but have this incredible way of adding humor and fun and adjusting the levels of seriousness to the proper age groups. The little kids love the staff, and learn about respecting them and each other as well as their parents. I highly recommend coming and at least trying one class, whether it's for your child or even yourself in one of the adult classes. Best decision I've made for my young child to show her what it is to stick with a good program through her life and earn rewards, (advancing a belt), and to continue even when tired, (like after volleyball practice). The class was taught by Sam And Josh and I was shocked at how much fun it was. Sam, (Samantha), is so thorough and effective, yet was cautious and made people who might be taking the class because they were former victims of an attack, feel comfortable and only perform moves within their comfort level. She kept checking in on us new students to make sure we were comfortable with hands on moves. We were taught so many effective moves in such a short amount of time. All the students are incredible as well. It feels safe yet challenging. It's extremely fun and educational. In that one class I was SOLD. I signed up for a monthly membership and love every single class. I feel empowered and strong and braver than I have ever felt in my short time going here. I highly recommend coming here for jujitsu training and self-defense classes. They also do "extra-curricular" activities outside of class8 that make us feel like a close group of friends. The communication is amazing and they never make you feel like your questions are too much or ridiculous. I can't wait to go to the next class, every week. The poise, grace and confidence that my daughter is partially due to her experiences here. The staff has always been more than helpful and the owner is a wonderful instructor, director and roll model for all that have the pleasure of meeting her. I have never seen or heard of any incidents of "laying hands", as reported by another yelper, in all of the years my daughter has been studying there. The owner and her staff go above and beyond to keep the children safe while in their care for classes. If anything the owner and staff have the patience of saints when dealing with occationally fussy children and more often than not difficult parents.

For the younger ages, parents are not allowed to be in the room to avoid distraction. Once in a while they will let the parents in to observe the last 15 minutes of class. The first time I was able to observe, my daughter was very distracted with all the parents watching. Makes sense why parents should not be present. The second time I was able to observe, my daughter was more used to the routine and did a whole lot better. For Mother's Day, they allowed the moms to take the class with the students. That was super cute Both owners have been super nice. You can tell they love what they do. I email Them when I have questions and they respond right away. I wouldn't take my daughter anywhere else.
